so. i used to use a particular caller id/announcer app, but i recently changed roms and now i can't remember what it was called! i think the name had something to do with a mental problem, or maybe sleep. i think the icon was kinda swirly or spiraly. the settings screen i think had a blue background. there was an option to pay for a key to unlock some of the options, something in the ballpark of $3 or $5.

( I got recently Galaxy Note ). I notice that for any incoming call ( from any of my contacts ) I will get the caller name and number.
is there a way to display all/some of the details available in his contacts with me ( company name, his group, his nickname, other telephone numbers ...... )
I use GO Dialer and GO Contacts EX.Call receiving screen looks like stock.I had a call from friend, he wasn't saved in contacts yet. When he was calling and i went to pick the call i think i pressed something because question popup saying something like "Do you want to block something? Yes/No".I think i pressed "No" but now my friend can't call me. Phone does not respond, like no call is being done, only for that one number. Also i don't have him in my calls history.

Caller photo almost covered by black screen. You can't see the photo. In miui the caller screen is fully transparent it looks damn nice. So is there any modified apk or any way to make it transparent? Other than using third party app.

My problem is that when I am on a call and I receive another call, I get the notification beeping sound, and the person I am talking to also hears the beep and becomes aware that someone is trying to call me! The person I'm talking to should not hear the beep or know that I'm being called by a third person!

I use my htc rezound as a business telephone line . 90 percent of the people calling me will not be on my contact list. I've used a couple apps before, but there always seems to be an extra step, and it seems to interrupt the normal usage of the phone, like having to press more buttons just to hang up and the like.
I guess I'm asking whether or not we'll ever be able to have fullscreen caller ID images natively.Or, is there an app that more or less seamlessly integrates into the phone experience so there doesn't have to be extra button pushes?
I'm using an app called Not Call Log that I can set to take back to the home screen after a call instead of well... the call log. lol Do you think that may be interfering with Fullscreen Caller ID apps? Is there a way to not have the phone go back to the Call Log after a call natively?

I'm experiencing some phone audio issues that pop up and then mysteriously go away again. Specifically I cannot hear the audio from the other caller and the only way to have the conversation is by turning on speakerphone (which always works but is quite inconvenient). The other party can always hear me alright.

or is there a way to remove the full screen caller id and replace it with a bar or notifacation ..like callbar for iPhone.
How to either replace the in call screen or put something on top of it....the only solution I have found thus far is to make my own ROM, which doesn't make sense for such a small portion of an OS. however I found these two apps (Full Screen Caller Pictures and Full Screen Caller ID) that are able to put a contact image and button on top of the standard in call screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I love that I can link all my contacts to their Facebook profiles, but here's my issue. I have a different picture of my wife that I want to use as her caller ID. I added that picture to her contact, in "People" and it shows the small thumbnail on top when I go to "Edit Contact". I save after adding the pic and save again at the bottom of the edit screen, but it always shows her Facebook profile pic in the contact list and when she calls. The only way to get the other pic is to unlink her FB from the contact. Is it always going to do this as long as it's linked to FB, or is there a way to get the other pic assigned to her caller ID?

I've tried saving my contacts on my sim card, my phone, and my sd card, but whenever someone calls me it always shows as unknown.Is there a setting or trick to getting Caller ID for free? I heard from a friend (mind you, not a very tech-savvy friend) that you don't need caller ID in your monthly plan to see the number of the person whose calling you. Is this true? My carrier charges me 15 bucks a month for caller ID and unlimited texting, two features I feel I safely live without.I don't mind if no name comes up and it is just a number, I can live without a picture and name popping up for incoming calls, I just don't want it to say "Unknown Number" or something like my old crappy 10 year old cell phone did without it. View 13 Replies View RelatedI am not seeing any caller information at all when I receive any calls. I have tried calling from my office and home, both of which are in my contacts. I have even chosen the action to add this number (from my home) to my home contact since it didn't recognize it. But then I call again and still no info and I get another prompt to add this number to a contact. I have searched the forum, and checked every setting I can click on but I don't see anything for turning on or off any caller ID setting.I wonder if its something about my account as this is my second Incredible (had non responsive screen on first) and it did the same thing. Others in my office who have this phone don't have the problem.
