Is it possible to call screen of cm10 or 10.1 can appear more like miui call screen? I mean transparent. The default caller screen of cm10 is not good. Caller photo almost covered by black screen. You can't see the photo. In miui the caller screen is fully transparent it looks damn nice. So is there any modified apk or any way to make it transparent? Other than using third party app.

I have installed CM10 4.2.1 ROM on HTC sensation, But after some time, the screen starts blinking, and only stops if i restart the phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedTrying to get CM10 built for the Samsung Galaxy Reverb. It's building just fine, but no matter what we try it WILL NOT BOOT. We get a black (backlit) screen after the Samsung logo and nothing more.
I've tried flashing the stock boot.img over the rom, building and flashing the stock kernel seperately (that boots the stock rom just fine when flashed but won't boot CM10), and tried modding the ramdisk to boot, but nothing is working.
I've looked at other MSM7x30 devices to find if I'm missing anything, but I can't find anything that I don't have in the device folder.

How to either replace the in call screen or put something on top of it....the only solution I have found thus far is to make my own ROM, which doesn't make sense for such a small portion of an OS. however I found these two apps (Full Screen Caller Pictures and Full Screen Caller ID) that are able to put a contact image and button on top of the standard in call screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Samsung Galaxy Reverb has nobody willing to build CM10 for it, so I decided to take on the task. It built without error - processed the kernel and all the CyanogenMod 10 files just fine and generated the .zip. However, after flashing the .zip I end up with a Samsung logo, then a black screen.
The compile went through without error, so I'm a little lost as to what I should check next. From doing a little searching it seems the kernel is at fault, but what to do about that. Am I supposed to flash the kernel separate from the .zip that the CM builder outputs?
I'm greatly annoyed by GoogleDialer's phone app which shows caller picture blocked 50% by black blank area. What files do I have to edit to make picture more bigger or atleast make that blank space disappear?
I know that I could simply get another dialer but I like Google's version. That blank space just bugs me.
Is it possible to make transparent status bar which is transparent only for lockscreen and homescreen?

At certain angles under strong lighting (basically when light is shining onto, but not reflected back off the screen) I can see a line that looks like it might be the edge of a circuit board behind my screen (when the display is off). Initially I thought it was a scratch, but on closer inspection, it's too thick a line, and much too precise and engineered looking to be one.
It's sorta this shape and runs across behind the screen, about 2/3 of the way up:

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'd really like to be able to read my most recent text BEFORE I unlock my pattern lock screen. Preferably in the form of a popup. I really don't care if it's over it or on top I just want to be able to read it before I unlock. I've done a good deal of searching, on xda and elsewhere, and I really can't find any information on how I might be able to do this. I tried playing with the popup settings in handcent and I have got the pop up to show up over the lockscreen, but if the screen turns back off then I have to unlock the phone to see the text again. Is there anything I can do about that?
I even tried playing around with Sms Popup with no luck either. Could I perhaps somehow remove the background on my pattern lockscreen so that I can see the popup behind it? I'd also like to add that I'd really rather not use any third party lockscreen apps like WidgetLocker or Lock 2.0 because I really don't like them. I know it's kind of a specific question but it's just kind of an aesthetics thing I guess.
I never really liked the look of the original HTC Sense UI Lock Screen. The arc across the screen never appealed to me. So recently i switched the Nexus style one. But i kind of missed the Sense UI Lock Screen because of the additional information and capabilities it provided. So i decided to see what it would look like without the arc and just transparent. Doesn't look too bad...

I am having to slide the screen down enter the unlock sequence and then see how is calling. I have missed several calls by doing this. I can reboot the phone and it is back to normal. When phone locked pops up who's calling and can answer. Works fine for a few calls and then back to having to unlock phone first. The screen will just flash on and off. I have looked for a setting and can't find one. Any ideas?

Suppose I receive a call on the handset with my app xyz running in the background. All I need is to fetch the Caller's name from the application xyz and display this name as" Akash Calling..." instead of "+91... calling..." assuming that caller's details are present in the application say, his name and none of his details in the actual address book.
