Android :: Way To Send / Tag A Photo To Facebook From Photo Itself?
Nov 5, 2009I could be missing this, but is there a way to send/tag a photo to facebook from the photo itself? The Facebook app for my blackberry lets me do this. If I pull up a photo I just took, I have the option of sending it to Facebook, as well as tagging it. I can't figure out how to do this on my Moment.

Android :: How To Send A Photo Over Bluetooth
Jun 29, 2010I am trying to send a photo from my Android device to a laptop via Bluetooth. Right now I have a gallery on the screen where the photos are depicted. What I want to do is to click a photo and directly send it to the laptop. All the Bluetooth stuff works fine but what I donīt know how to do is to get the byte[] that conforms the picture that should be sent. Maybe that is not the way is supposed to be done, so please it would help if someone gives me some suggestions about how to proceed. I just need some guidelines, later I will investigate how to code everything. Once the Bluetooth messages reach the laptop is there something to do to "rebuild" the picture?
And secondly, by now I am copying the files to the drawable file of my project. Is it possible to directly get them from the folder where the picture I take are stored?

Aug 17, 2009I know a variant of this question was asked before trying-to-attach-a-file-from-sd-card-to-email But the solution offered, i.e. a reboot doesn't seem to do it for me. I have seen a good number of group postings which support this being a problem. I can only assume the OP for the linked to question made some other changes, possibly to the manifest which allowed his code to work.
The behaviour I am seeing is the Email intent handling the attachment of the jpeg from the sdcard but dealing with it as a 0 length file which is discarded when sent. I have tried setType as jpeg/image and image/jpeg as I have seen it expressed both ways....................

My evo wont do anything once paired to my computer via bluetooth. i paired it successfully, then later i wanted to send a file from my phone to my computer via bluetooth, (i have ftp enabled) and told my computer to expect a file and nothing. it doesn't work. also when i check the pairing profile on my computer, under services it is COMPLETELY blank, there should be some services like dial-up modem and bluetooth speakers and stuff shouldn't there be?
here is what i want to be able to do.
1. i want to send files from my EVO to my computer via Astro Bluetooth.
2. i would also like to use my laptop speakers via bluetooth, example, play Pandora on my phone using my laptop speakers via bluetooth connection
that is really all i want to do but i cant get ANYTHING working. could this be solved by rooting my evo? i really just wanna be able to do basic bluetooth functions with my phone.

Sep 8, 2010I've got a Sprint Hero and when I try to send a 1MB photo, it basically freezes up my Gmail on my smartphone. Is that normal? I've tried to do it a few times, but it just says "sending" for longer than 10 minutes. It even sort of crashes my phone by hogging all the data and not letting me surf the internet or sync with Remember the Milk and other data reliant apps.I hate this Sprint Hero, by the way (unrooted, running OS 2.1). It's a genuine POS.It's so laggy (takes literally 10 F'n seconds to call someone after I dial the number).I've honestly almost smashed it on the ground twice it's so laggy.When I'm in a hurry, I can't stand it's lagginess.It's amazing to me this phone was released to the public with such an egregious lag time on almost everything I do (most noticeably the phone, which is simple compared to other apps).

Seriously, I can not change my friggin fb profile pic because when it asks to drag the edges of the box to crop the photo, it wont do anything. When I touch it and try to drag, it just moves the entire screen around. It wont actually select it...kind of like you do when you click inside a Flash window. I have tried stock browser, Boat, Dolphin HD and Opera. None of them will move or resize the drag box. Im stuck without PC access and have been wanting to change my photo for months but have not been able to. I dont understand this. When I had my Touch Pro 2 with Windows Mobile and used Opera Mobile, I had absolutely no problem dragging that box around.

So for instance - if I wanted to, I could wake up my mac remotely using my phone, and start having a conversation with anyone who happened to be near my computer as if I had called a phone number. I could activate video streaming from my phone to my computer or from my computer to my phone if I wanted to, all controlled by my phone to my computer or vice versa
So it's sort of like skype, but only between my phone and the computer, and I can activate it even when my laptop is closed using ssh wake on demand or whatever.
