View 1 RepliesI made a custom blue Droid battery icon(based on Manigma77's "3Dbattery" icon). I just changed the color. It is part of my setup shown in this thread: http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/47148-learning-experience-care-share-yours.html
There has been enough interest in it that I figured I would post it up for those of you who would like to have it It is a Metamorph file and easy to apply. Here is what it looks like:
Of course the icon changes with battery status as it should Here is the file:
I assume this belongs here because it's about all ICS phones have this question(S)
1. Is there a way to change a non-rooted gsm unlocked GN messaging icon from green to blue?
2. Fonts I would love to install choco cooky a font I had on my Tmo GS2 which I got from the Skyrocket.
Can the font be changed? Lockscreen Wallpaper.
I just got to my parents house and there is now a little flashing blue house icon above the signal lines. What does this mean???
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am so upset because AT&T forced 4.3 update on my phone. For a month constantly ignored then yesterday message displayed could no longer be postponed. Now the blue Navigation icon is missing & even when I do uninstall google maps update doesn't revert to 6.0. Is that because 4.3 won't allow it to and if so is there a work around. My phone was already set up to allow manual updates only which is how I kept blue navigation for so long & never updated maps. but when 4.3 was forced it looks as it removed blue navigation app.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was having problems with the play store and I was told to clear data from the Play Sore and GoogleServicesFramework app. That didn't work and I got a server error. Also my signal bars and wifi/3G icon are not turning blue as usual when connected. I feel disconnected from the play store .

My sister has a Samsung Galaxy y phone running Gingerbread 2.3.3 (not rooted). She plugged the phone after it ran out of charge and saw this screen (pic attached) with the battery icon empty and a blue triangle with a crossed out battery symbol inside it. The phone would not power up.
We tried everything : checked charger, plug points, usb charging, taking out battery and cleaning contacts but everything is fine.
Google Search, the blue icon app, is on my phone. I assume this came with Froyo. Why doesn't the market show it as installed when I go to its market page?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to 2.1, I had the Google navigate widget on my homescreen. It worked nicely and I used it a lot. I did a factory re-set to cure my Internet sharing problem (it worked) but now I cannot find the little blue triangle Google navigate icon anywhere. I can still get to Google navigate via Google maps, but would like my blue triangle widget back.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI found that when EditText in placing at the bottom of screen, and the activity's android:windowSoftInputMode="adjustPan", and the apps run in ldpi(240*320) mode, then when EditText has focus, the content of the activity is panned too far to the above, thus leaving a blank screen between the content of the window and the soft input panel.
You can see the screenshot of this problem at
https://sites.google.com/site/wilderwang/android
Also, the source code to repro this problem can also be get at
https://sites.google.com/site/wilderwang/android
When I test further, if the same apps run in hdpi(480*800), when EditText got focus, the content of the window panned too small thus causing the soft input window cover the EditText view. It seems the distance of the window panned not compute the screen density.
I used to be on a custom ROM called Cyanogenmod and really liked their circle battery icon in the status bar. I'm on a different ROM now that has no features and uses the stock android icon and I'm wondering if it's possible to get a white version of the cyanogenmod icon without having to change ROMs. I'm on an unlocked and rooted verizon galaxy nexus on 4.4.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have tried every trick from every site. But ever since I rooted my wife's phone its battery doesn't last pass 7-8 hours. I done the *#*#4636#*#*, the gps on networks off, auto killer on aggressive, battery defender and still her battery doesn't last. She keeps blue tooth on all the time and has three email accounts set @ every 15 mins. She says that when she was stock 1.5 it lasted all day. But the stock rom would restart by itself all the time. Boy I wish that I never rooted her phone. I've upgraded radio without any change in performance. What 2.1rom is easiest on the battery? Can I flash her back to a 1.5 rooted rom that is not a battery hog. I love my Fresh 2.0d I'm 75% at night before I go to bed. But I don't blue tooth either.

View 6 Replies View RelatedNo root..Firmware v. B104...New phone, got it in late December 2012. Handled with great care. Battery icon and battery graph stuck on 50%. Never know how much battery juice I've got left. No warnings, just powers off when it's empty.
Tried:
- Factory reset
- Attempted hard reset, but I'm not sure it worked, 'cause nothing special happened on my screen.
- Completely draining the battery (as an equivalent to removing the battery. Non-removable battery on this one)
I have been looking for firmware updates, but I can't find any for my B104, and if I have understood it correctly, applying an update for the B226 will most probably render my device useless.I am quite satisfied with this phone, it is magnificent, so I do not want to root it unless I absolutely have to. View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my Vibrant I have both the standard "green battery" icon in my taskbar, as well as a downloaded battery percentage icon. I've noticed that the standard icon does a really poor job tracking the actual battery percentage. For example, the percentage will show 35%, but the icon will still appear two-thirds green.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know this comes in some ROMs and maybe some themes, anyone seen a stand alone option for people in root to add this ability in the MENU bar, not the task bar?
View 37 Replies View RelatedI know this question is not programming related, so for this I made community wiki. Developers are the best guys to answer the question.
I am addressed to those that do development on devices that runs on batteries, like phones, gadgets etc. Probably you are constantly develop for them, and therefor they are always plugged in and charged at 100%. We develop mainly for smartphones and we have devices that were always above 90% charged in the last month or so.
If a battery is always charged, it degrades it life cycle, so what steps you do to ensure decent battery drain to maximize the life of the batteries.
How much does active GPS drain the battery? Without the overhead of the gps navigator software. s
ay I want to sample the gps every 2 minutes and save it to a file. how much battery power will that cost me?
Will I get 10% shorter life? 20%?
I have a floder containing Google Earth. The normal icon has been replaced by a little droid icon labeled "loading." When I click it, Google Earth loads.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to get the battery percentage on top of or somewhere next to the battery icon in the status bar? I use Battery Indicator right now, but I'd rather have it on the battery icon like the iPhone has it. It's kinda hard to believe a smartphone wouldn't have an option to display the battery percentage.

So I noticed that my battery icon is showing nearly a solid green battery, just slightly below it (a thin sliver of black). I've been on the phone for over an hour, played some games, got some e-mails etc and was wondering why it hasn't moved because before (had the phone since the beginning of May) it always seems to drop pretty accurately based on my usage (granted it's just observation, never studied it or anything). I went to settings - about phone - battery - and saw that I'm actually at 70%...but yet the icon hasn't moved down. Played a game for about 3 minutes and checked again, and the green icon now accurately shows what a 70% battery life should look like. Does anybody else know if their icon doesn't accurately represent their usage? Is this nothing to worry about? haha just concerned it will lag more and more with time or something...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to take my activity the entire screen of the device and I could do that by making appropriate changes in the android manifest file (Theme. NoTitleBar .Fullscreen). But, now I just want battery status icon on my screen alongwith other components of my activity. Is that possible?if yes, then how? I tried to use battery manager but, it does not expose such interfaces. I guess its mainly useful for checking and using battery life status and firing intents appropriately. View 6 Replies View RelatedSo earlier today I flashed cyanogen's rom and noticed that the battery icon on the notification bar had the battery % on the battery, the built in one not the on from the battery indicator app, and I thought that looked really slick. I was wondering if there was a way I could get that thru using metamorph or something.
