Samsung Vibrant :: Battery Icon Does Not Reflect True Battery Percentage

Aug 5, 2010

On my Vibrant I have both the standard "green battery" icon in my taskbar, as well as a downloaded battery percentage icon. I've noticed that the standard icon does a really poor job tracking the actual battery percentage. For example, the percentage will show 35%, but the icon will still appear two-thirds green.

HTC EVO 4G :: Need To Get Percentage On Top Of Battery Icon

Jun 28, 2010

Is there anyway to get the battery percentage on top of or somewhere next to the battery icon in the status bar? I use Battery Indicator right now, but I'd rather have it on the battery icon like the iPhone has it. It's kinda hard to believe a smartphone wouldn't have an option to display the battery percentage.

This was brought up a lot when the Inc was just released. Everyone pretty much said that we had to wait until we were rooted. But has anyone found a way to add the battery percentage on the stock battery icon at the top? I hate having to install an app and have another battery icon in the notification bar with this.

HTC EVO 4G :: Battery Percentage Indicator On StatusBar

Jun 7, 2010

I didn't see a thread in here discussing this, but I'm using a battery percentage indicator that shows the percentage in the status bar. I just want to get an idea of what everybody else is using. The one I downloaded from the appmarket is cool for being free, but if anybody has recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I really want the one that HTC makes, but it's only available for the N1 and Desire right now. Post up the different ones being used.

HTC Incredible :: Battery Percentage Overlay

Sep 11, 2010

No intentions of being redundant, however I ran a search didn't find any new info and I'v been banging my head. I'm farely noobish at root, and I'm currently just running straight up android 2.2 flashed with 3.21 unrEVOked, and everything is working great *cheers to them, great job* I'm just trying to replace my stock battery icon with a new one with percents. I didn't find anything on the forum, perhaps I'm blind.. but just figured I'd see if there was a way to do this yet without installing a rom. I tried one from another site and it put my phone into a force close frenzy and wouldn't load senseui (kept fc'ing) thus making my phone useless. MDA didn't do a nandroid backup, and I royally effed my phone and had to swap back to another incredible. so if anyone has any information, that'd be supa.

Nexus :: Battery Percentage Used By Calls

Jan 11, 2010

I hope you can help me out by chiming in on this. I've been using my phone a bit, and it looks like my battery goes down by about 10-12% for every 15 minutes I'm on a call. Is this normal? It seems like my battery isn't lasting anywhere near as long as it should. Extrapolating those figures out, you'd be looking at 150 minutes (2h 30m) of call time per charge - way below the quoted time (7h on 3G). Additionally, I seem to be able to lose about 10% of my battery just browsing the web for 10 minutes over 3G. I have GPS off, but WiFi and sync on.Are you all getting significantly better than this?

Samsung Vibrant :: Battery Just Draining

Aug 3, 2010

The last day or so after charging my phone to 100% overnight (phone is on when charging) and then putting in standby mode I'm losing like 5-7% of battery every hour.Over the weekend I was losing just 6% every 9 hours in standby mode. Today in 4 hours time I'm down to 65% already with mostly standby mode and a few minutes of browsing. I even had JuiceDefender installed since last night and it's not helping at all.To me it seems that something is in the background that is draining the battery though I when I check running services I don't see anything that shouldn't be there. When I was losing only 6% every 10 hours I did have a live wallpaper, weather/clock widget, and task killer. I didn't change anything on the next charge and now I'm constantly losing battery even in standby mode.

I have Wifi/GPS/background data off, brightness at minimum, no animations, etc. So pretty much followed all the battery saving pointers. I thought it was working good when I got just about 36 hours over the weekend with standby and moderate usage. So I don't know what has happened to my battery all of a sudden. The two times that I have managed to do 30+ hours on a single charge I had Advanced Task Killer running. However, even after doing 36 hours on one charge the next day even with ATK the battery started to drain a lot every hour in just standby. Anyone else having similar issues? I don't know what else to do at this time. I've uninstalled many of the apps thinking it might one of them causing the issue, but still having issues.

HTC EVO 4G :: Battery Doesn't Seem To Have Initial Percentage Drop

In my case, I think the charger that came with the phone is not charging the battery properly. Last Friday I left the Evo charger at work and had to use a Nokia charger to charge the phone. The usage was the same, but now my battery doesn't seem to have the initial percentage drop and seems to last longer. Also, it charges bit faster (I know this is not great for the battery). Will do more testing.

General :: Battery Percentage Updating Sporadically

Mar 25, 2013

I just got this phone but it's having a weird problem. The battery % seems to drop off in big jumps instead of gradually.

For instance, I also have an Xperia Play, if I run the LED as a flashlight, I can see over a few minutes the battery % goes down gradually.

This new phone, Samsung Galaxy Q, if I run the flashlight, nothing changes in a few minutes. But if I check back after locking the phone a few minutes later, it shows a battery drain.

Another example, before I went to bed, I had it charged to 100%. When I woke up 7 hours later, I checked and it was still at 100%. I checked after I got dressed a few minutes later, and it just dropped to 90%. During my trip to work about half way while playing music, half way to work, it was down to about 86%, kept checking, and no changes. When I got to work at my desk, the battery hit 77%.

My battery graph when I goto battery use is basically this, straight line....DROP, straight line...DROP, etc.
