Sep 11, 2010Google Search, the blue icon app, is on my phone. I assume this came with Froyo. Why doesn't the market show it as installed when I go to its market page?

HTC Hero :: How To Get Little Blue Triangle Google Navigate Icon?
Sep 13, 2010After upgrading to 2.1, I had the Google navigate widget on my homescreen. It worked nicely and I used it a lot. I did a factory re-set to cure my Internet sharing problem (it worked) but now I cannot find the little blue triangle Google navigate icon anywhere. I can still get to Google navigate via Google maps, but would like my blue triangle widget back.

Oct 23, 2013I am so upset because AT&T forced 4.3 update on my phone. For a month constantly ignored then yesterday message displayed could no longer be postponed.Now the blue Navigation icon is missing & even when I do uninstall google maps update doesn't revert to 6.0. Is that because 4.3 won't allow it to and if so is there a work around. My phone was already set up to allow manual updates only which is how I kept blue navigation for so long & never updated maps. but when 4.3 was forced it looks as it removed blue navigation app.

Jul 1, 2010I set up my google account when I first received the phone and everything. However now when I open up the home screen the Google Search bar has disappeared. Gone into Basic settings > Setup Guide to check details but Google Account settings not even listed! (Just SIM Contacts; Time & Date; Email; Facebook; Twitter; Sync) Have checked Applications and it shows Google Search (enhanced) as the default setting but it is not showing up on my screen either as the search bar or in the applications. Have tried taking out and re-inserting the sim card. Any ideas on how to get it re-instated?

Nov 28, 2010I see in some videos the google search bar in 2.1 is suppsoed to to have the little microphone icon to activate voice search. I flashed 2.1 rodgers firmare onto my x10a and when the phone boots I can see the icon for a few seconds then it deisapears!! Anyone else with the same problem? Was it something taken out by rodgers in their version of firmware?

Mar 17, 2010I've got an HTC Hero cell phone, I'm in the UK but when I use Google search bar on my phones "desktop" I get directed to the Orange France web site to sign in as a cell phone customer. I'm a frequent visitor to France and suspect that I changed something in Google a couple of years ago but can't remember what. I would call my cell phone providor only I've noticed French results coming up in my search results occasionally when Googling on one of my PC's at home. I checked my search settings in Google and they are logged as UK and English.

Aug 17, 2010I downloaded google search last night even though we already have it built in, apparently when you go to the market it doesn't show google search as installed nor an update. I installed it and it appears to have updated the built in google search in our phones. I then uninstalled it just to see if it would tell me there was an update and then it did.
