I have a floder containing Google Earth. The normal icon has been replaced by a little droid icon labeled "loading." When I click it, Google Earth loads.

When I want to change an icon on my home screen, my launcher brings up the standard 'select app for this task' box.
The trouble is I want to use my file browser, and its not showing up there, I'm only getting to pick gallery, and this is difficult because my icon set has 1000+ icons, which would be easy to find by file name, but looking through 1000 icons every time you need one isn't much fun. I'm using ADW launcher by the way and solid explorer.
Can you add to these app select menus, like you can add to 'send to' in windows?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm on a Galaxy S4. I'm running Nova Launcher as well. I've noticed since I got this phone a few weeks ago that I can set icon images from icon packs, but if the icon pack is downloaded as image files I can't.
long press app I want to change icon for > click edit > click the icon image > select Gallery (or Astro file mgr) > select the image I want > takes me to an edit screen where I can crop etc, I click 'okay' > it says 'preparing image' and goes away, leaving me back at the edit icon screen where the icon image is still the same as before.
Could it be because my icon images are stored on the SD card? If so, where do you guys normally store icon packs that are download as regular images?

When I get a new text, the Go icon shows up in my notification bar as usual (I have it set to do this), but when I access that text message either from the notification bar pull-down or through the Go SMS app itself, the icon still remains in my notification bar. The only way to remove it is to pull down my notifications and hit "clear". I believe I have all my settings in order (stock notifs off, etc.).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got problem with Facebook icon on Miui. I see default Facebook icon using any theme (mtz). I'm sure there is the correct icon in package: it's named as "com.facebook.katana". I can see custom one in Applications under Settings menu, but launcher does not show it.
It's the only one app without cutom icon on launcher. Is there any solution?
Actually it's SGS2's MIUI-2.8.17, but I had the same problem on previous release.
Every other app I use only uses GPS when the actual app is open. Pretty irritating how Facebook has GPS always on.
Any way to change this? I opened Settings in the App, turned "Message Location service" off. That did nothing.
I don't mind Facebook using GPS, but can I change it so it only uses it while the App is actually open? LS670
This icon appears whenever my data allowance has been used up. My network who are usually useful with things like this were otherwise on this occasion.
My phone is rooted with CM and terminal editor. Although I've not well versed in terminal editor I can follow instructions, like adding read/write to the system folder so I could delete system apps.
M Droid X I have and guess everybody else has it to (GPS) icon. My question is if I leave it on do I have a monthly service for this, or is this free from Verizon. I use it a lot when I use the places icon to find stores etc. Then hit get directions and it uses google maps and act as a GPS giving me direction to the place I picked. And another question if that is the case everything that was loaded on the Droid X comes free with no service charge!
