I'm interested in having a Twitter app in my HTC legend in order to translate some tweets, if possible Japanese tweets.
Last year I was using TweetDeck wich translated the tweets, even from Japanese in English, but I know don't why, since september i'm unable to translate them anymore.Twitter app on Android with the translation functionality ? (To translate from Japanese if possible)

I have the Google Translate app on my Samsung Galaxy Tablet (running ICS) and it works great, including the offline. I also have it on my Samsung Galaxy Ace phone (running Gingerbread 2.3.7) but I cannot even see a menu option (whichis needed to use the offline facility) on the phone version. I have downloaded the latest verions from Google Play. Review of Google Translate say the offline bit shuld work with Android 2.3 and later..

It's now version 1.32.161.4 and the root guide at 24/May r4 - HTC Legend rooting guide - Now with 1.31.x - Android @ MoDaCo says 1.31 and below is there any way to downgrade the Legend to what it was before? I think it was 1.21 or 1.23 not sure.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I had a crackberry and had it paired with my Bluetooth on my car I could hit a button on the module in my car and it would launch voice dialing on the berry. With an android phone it doesn't. I am wondering if there was a way or an app that could monitor for the button or give me the same Bluetooth config of the berry so I could gain that back.
I love hands free dialing and I've tried apps like vlingo but they seem too unusuable still.

I have a Wi-Fi router D-Link Dir-615. My HTC Legend recognize the router but after enterring the key to unlock the connection, it fails to connect. 2 PC are connected and the HTC touch of my wife too, and all three work fine.

I put chrome in system/app in my rom and I got problem to start chrome. it says missing critical functionality.

I have read seemingly cotradictory posts, some say there is no problem some give work arounds involving Roms. A newer post seems to indicate Google has done something that only alows Chinese android devices to use Market after rooting. Which is true? Do all devices even act the same?
I have an Archos that needed a fix to get it at all but I had not heard that Market didn't work after root until a friend mentioned it a couple of days ago. Was this something Google did with intent?

Is there a way to still use "Google Translate" without connection? (is there another translation app, which can be completely downloaded to SD Card and can be used without 3g or wifi ?)
Google Translate is great, but it's crippling fault is that it needs a data connection to work. Obviously the only time I am going to need language translation tools, is the same time I don't want to pay for roaming data access!!

I have a rooted LG Optimus L1 ii, running the stock 4.1 ROM that came with it, from which I uninstalled the stock messaging app after installing Hangouts. As you might have guessed I was unaware that the stock messaging app contains the basic messaging capabilities and all other apps rely on this, so now I'm trying to somehow regain the ability to send and receive SMS.
I have tried installing Handcent, GoSMS, and an app called "Android 4.1 JB Messaging SMS", which claims to be the stock messaging app for JellyBean, all of it to no avail.
Therefore my question is, on a very fundamental level, what are the parts of the Android OS that are required for SMS and that I evidently destroyed? Can I get "generic" stock versions of the necessary apks or do they have to be specific to my phone model?
Is there such a thing in Android...? For example, I'm writing an email and would like to lookup a word, but don't want to switch to the other app, is there an app which can invoke the dictionary within another app...?
