General :: HTC Sensation - WiFi To 3G Switch Not Working

I seem to have a weird problem on my HTC Sensation. I have been noticing that when the phone switches from Wifi to 'H', the mobile data stops working. I can see the signal bars so no problems with making calls, text etc. I have tried putting phone into airplane more, resetting mobile data and a couple of apps that reset the mobile data stack. None of that has worked. The only way I have made it work is by restarting the phone - quite frustrating. The mobile data then starts working. It has only happened when 'H' is displayed as the mobile data.

Wifi is not working i Cant switch the Wifi on. I have a Note n7000 android 4.2.2 cyanogenmod 10.1 nightly.
Can't press the small wifi button on dock it will not recognize on the other hand i can press the Bluetooth without any problems and when i go to the settings the small _OFF_ button will not recognize me pressing it.

I have never rooted or done anything like this before. I decided to root my tmobile htc sensation 4g. I used revolutionary? then installed clockwork recovery and in reboot at that point my data connection won't work. It will still make phone calls and texts and I can still connect with wifi but my 4g or 2g won't work. I still proceeded with installing the superuser file it said to and still nothing. It is definitely rooted. I have rebooted, battery pulled, and tried turning in and off the mobile network connection setting. I have not installed any roms etc I'm afraid to mess with it until I know what to do. eally about to have an anxiety attack. Everything else is working fine. I don't understand why just that works mess the data connection up. What can I do (of course I'd like to keep it rooted if possible).

I have a Htc Sensation, with Cm9 Nightlies. My battery was empty in the morning, it shutted down in a very weird way. I (fully) charged it, and now the touchscreen isn't working. I can get in to recovery, but i can't use it because i installed 4Ex touch, but the touchscreen isn't working.
I do can still access it from the pc, but i don't know what i can do now to fix it.

basically I have 2 routers with different SSIDs set up in my house.
I was wondering if there is a way I can have it automatically switch to the one with a better connection through an app or script of some sort or a way that I can at least make a shortcut on my launcher to do this?
now that I think about I could toggle wifi off and on but is there a better way?

I found that when my WiFi is on, when screen is off due to screen timeout, when I try to open screen again by pressing menu button or power button, nothing happened, I need to switch the mobile on again by pressing power button long press (not normal press to open as usual if you switched off manually)
someone told me because mobile is duos, may be you have only two gateway, when WiFi is one with access of data plan of two Sim cards, may be doing conflict, actually last week I switch data plan access between two Sims last week and I think this problem came with this action, I delete APN access points from one of two Sims but it didn't solve this problem.

I am searching for a app that will automatically switch my WiFi signal from one signal that is weak or getting weak to another signal that is stronger. Example I am at work and I will be connected to a hot spot on one side of the building, I go over to the other side of the building and the signal strength is weak and there is a new hot spot next to me that is extremely strong but the phone stays connected to the weak signal until I go and switch it manually to the new hot spot.

I flashed my i9003 with the xxkph rom. Everything works fine except the wifi. When I want to turn it off, it will stay 'turning off'. I tried factory reset and wipe cache, and even reflash the rom, but none of them works! And whats more, I used to use the xxkpe rom and the issue also exists!

I'm doing a research on Cellular-WiFi switch and finding any mechanism to handle cellular hand off.As far as i've found,an http request is routed through WiFi network if connected even gprs/cellular connection is present.
My queries are:
1)Does this switch happens automatically ? If yes,which part of framework or code does that?
2)Does the http request drop in such situation due to cellular hand off ? Is there any way to handle such hand off ?
3)Does gprs cellular connection reconnects automatically when WiFi gets disconnected ?
4)Which type of alerts or notifications normally user gets in such situations ?
Yours feedback and inputs will be of great help for me in this activity.

Recently I flashed my A500s mobile using the method mentioned in one of the threads here. I used mobile-uncle tools to root it. I've installed almost every ROM available here on XDA for A500s but I couldn't use my Wifi. It keeps on searching for Wifi network and/or hangs. (In some of the ROMS Camera was not installed)I'm struggling for past 3-4 days but no success. I downloaded the stock ROM too but it's not installing. It gets aborted.The CWM screen shows the headline as....

since i updated to 4.4 my phone is encountering some crazy problems. One of these is: my nexus 4 does not work with my wifi (any other device works fine). Play store, google+, gmail, maps, google now, nothing is working the only thing that i can do is navigate in the internet. I already tried to make a factory reset, adjust time and date, clean the cache but nothing solved my problem.

Since a few month my WiFi does not work properly. When I activate it, it automatically connects to the access point. But after 3 minutes, the connection stops working. The WiFi symbol in the status bar disappears and 3g starts working. When i disable and reenable wifi everything works fine again for 3 minutes. I already tried a static IP. Other devices (laptop) have no problems with the same network.

My data plan is eating me alive and I didn't know why until I finally noticed that when I am at a hot spot, my wifi never connects until my data plan is locked out.
I have a Note, not a Note II. I am on Rogers, not ATT.
I've tried adjusting everything I can think of, tried a hard reboot of my phone, and when I looked for support with android OS, I couldn't find this Wi-Fi disconnect policy they were talking about anywhere on my phone.

Some apps like location tracking apps on my sons phone does not work all the time when his phones on 2g internet. But on wifi it seems to work all the time. Apps like life360 location tracking apps, remote control apps like androidlost, which uses push messages and also polling services works intermittently. Sometimes it works on 2g internet and sometimes it does not. But on wifi, there's no problem at all.
But strangely messaging apps like viber works continuously on 2g or wifi without any problems.

I m running ICS 4.0.3 and I am having work wifi with proxy. I have also installed proxy droid and I am able to download apps and browse internet through my wifi. BUT THE PROBLEM is not all apps are having access to Wifi. i.e. Gtalk is not able to sign in while using internet from wifi.

i have installed android 2.3.7 rom on my karbonnA1 same as that of ZTE N721.. with some modification to ZTE RACER rom.. i was able to boot the rom ... but the issue is WIFI, Bluetooth, and network is not working? Do I have to modify the kernel.
