I have a Htc Sensation, with Cm9 Nightlies. My battery was empty in the morning, it shutted down in a very weird way. I (fully) charged it, and now the touchscreen isn't working. I can get in to recovery, but i can't use it because i installed 4Ex touch, but the touchscreen isn't working.
I do can still access it from the pc, but i don't know what i can do now to fix it.

I've had the Evo since the release day and I loved it, greatest phone ever in my opinion. Well about two weeks ago, something happened and it broke, yeah it was my fault but i'd rather not talk about it. So I decided to upgrade to the Epic 4G, I found one and bought one last week. I immediately fell in love with that phone. Now here's the worst part, the same day I buy the phone it breaks. I accidentally dropped it from a height of around 1 feet onto my sink. The inner screen shatters but the outside glass is perfectly fine. I couldn't believe it. I believe that the new Super AMOLED screen is very fragile because I've dropped the Evo hundreds of times and nothing ever happened. I then decided to switch back to the Evo and ordered a replacement phone after a difficult process. Yesterday, I received the replacement Evo. Well I immediately notice it's refurbished and it doesn't seem to bother me. It turns on fine the first time and I proceed to activate it. First, the touch screen is not working at all. Only a few sections of the screen work even after full resets and calibrations. The phone then dies and never turns on ever again, I've tried different batteries and chargers but no luck.

With some ROMs I've flashed (including the current one) my phone somehow stops shutting down automatically when the battery reaches <1% (btw I still get the Low Battery warning at 15%), what happens is that, when it runs empty, suffers a hard shutdown (duh) and when I put it charging and I try to turn it on (even hours of charging later) I get a black screen (attachment) with a battery icon, some green bars and a hourglass. And a Bolt (no pun intended)
I really wanna stay with this ROM, so another 4.2 ROM for this phone.
Just remembered the red notification light switches on/off from time to time 30s-1m(maybe)
I wanted to ask if a HTC evo 3d battery would work on a HTC sensation? I ordered a battery from Amazon and it says evo 3d on the battery but in the subject it says htc sensation to. They both are 3.7v too. URL....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have never rooted or done anything like this before. I decided to root my tmobile htc sensation 4g. I used revolutionary? then installed clockwork recovery and in reboot at that point my data connection won't work. It will still make phone calls and texts and I can still connect with wifi but my 4g or 2g won't work. I still proceeded with installing the superuser file it said to and still nothing. It is definitely rooted. I have rebooted, battery pulled, and tried turning in and off the mobile network connection setting. I have not installed any roms etc I'm afraid to mess with it until I know what to do. eally about to have an anxiety attack. Everything else is working fine. I don't understand why just that works mess the data connection up. What can I do (of course I'd like to keep it rooted if possible).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to have a weird problem on my HTC Sensation. I have been noticing that when the phone switches from Wifi to 'H', the mobile data stops working. I can see the signal bars so no problems with making calls, text etc. I have tried putting phone into airplane more, resetting mobile data and a couple of apps that reset the mobile data stack. None of that has worked. The only way I have made it work is by restarting the phone - quite frustrating. The mobile data then starts working. It has only happened when 'H' is displayed as the mobile data.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI mentioned this in another thread but thought it might garner more attention here. I keep seeing people indicate that this or that problem is fixed by a "battery pull." While I understand that a frozen/unresponsive phone must have its battery pulled in order to get it to reboot, I am failing to see what this accomplishes when your phone is functional. Is there something that a battery pull does that shutting down your phone does not do? I was trying to work it out in my head and couldn't come up with anything. Memory is cleared when you power it down. Cache is stored on the flash card, so that doesn't go away. Nothing stays powered up during the shutdown. So, help me out here. What does it do, that holding down the power button and selecting "Power Off" does not do?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi got this problem recently after installing a bunch of new app, till this point with all app & wi-fi on ,it took about a day to recharge,when i used my phone with all functions, but now: i uninstalled most of those new app,i turn wi-fi,gps,3g off,kill all background tasks with task panel,even so, with a full charge battery in STAND-BY, it takes just about 3-4 hours for battery to be empty! any solution please? i can't use my phone in real way any more because if i brows internet or use any app it is gonna empty in less then 2 hours,battery app tell me battery has excellent health too? the only new app that i didn't uninstalled is battery widget itself,could it be the source of this problem? the other change i had were: i gave quick access(show application in notification bar) for "toggle setting" & "task panel".
View 5 Replies View RelatedEarlier my phone was playing Pandora and acting fine, but I couldn't unlock it because the touch screen wasn't responding. I had just came in from the rain and my fingertips were a little wet, so I figured it wasn't registering because of that, even though it usually handles moisture on hands just fine.
After my hands wee completely dried, the phone still wouldn't respond, and all that works is the sidekeys, send, menu, and end buttons. Nothing on the screen, nor the Home, Menu, or Back buttons work. I tried removing the battery a few times, and eventually the phone wouldn't even turn back on. After trying a hard reset, it was able to turn on and finally booted up after about 10 minutes of just a SAMSUNG logo, but the screen still won't work. It turned off on it's own after a few minutes and now won't turn on again.
Are there any solutions to this, or do I have to go to Sprint and have them fix it? I have full insurance on the phone, which I assume would cover this, but I'm working all day today and won't have time to go to Sprint even if I had to until tomorrow, so I'm hoping there's something I could try here, or from the boot menu.
I have a HTC Hero 6283 from Cellularsouth and was wondering if moisture is the cause for my touchscreen not working? I've had this phone for 3 months now, but I have noticed that everytime it gets some moisture on it, the touchscreen stops working properly. I've taken the battery out on numerous occasions and sometimes it works.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my mini pro for 3 days now and i've experienced this problem since my first initial charge.
It seems that the touchscreen does not work once i resume from standby. The keys work and so does the keypad but the system doesn't respond when i touch the screen. At first I thought it was because the phone was charging and so it doesnt operate whilst charging. However, i've encountered this problem 4-5 times with the phone discharged. The only way i can get around this is by removing the battery and putting it back in, which restarts the phone. I don't think this is normal and i've consulted with my friend who has the same phone and claims he has no issues with it so far. So what is going on here?
2nd time- phone was on standby around 3 hours
3rd time- phone was on standby 8 hours
4th time - dont remember
5th time - 10 mins (ridiculous -.-)
Im thinking it may be a phone issue and not the battery (since all the keys work except touchscreen). Also, this DOES not happen everytime phone is on standby. It acts faulty whenever it wants which is very irritating. If anyone is experiencing the same problem pls dont hesitate to post your ideas. I love this phone very much but this problem is leaving me in doubt.
Dont know if anyone else has this problem, but during a call my touchscreen turns off, the proximity sensor stops the screen lighting up but even if i dont put the phone to my head the touchscreen stops working.
Buttons still work and i have to use them to use the dial pad. Really annoying when you are trying to navigate automated menus etc as half the time it doesnt work as they pickup too much noise from using the buttons on the front.
The problems I'm having:
- The battery is draining wicked fast.
- The phone is ridiculously hot like the radio is working overtime.
- And the screen is so sensitive that when swiping home screens the damn thing tries to go back, or skips a screen. In the browser if I scroll up or down with just one finger it tends to try to pinch zoom. And on the home screen when trying to press and hold an app it double clicks and opens it. The on screen keyboard many times just blips out when swyping trying to type one word and it ends up being 4-5.
So I tried turning the phone off and back on. No difference. Did the OTA update. No difference. I didn't even install any apps yet. But I did remove everything from my home screens to hopefully fix the battery life. No difference. I like the keyboard (miles ahead of the D1) and the fact swype comes stock, if it would only work correctly. Does every droid 2 have these problems? Are they all hot all the time? Are they all super sensitive? Are they all sucking battery at a phenomenal rate?
For some reason the empty view (TextView in this case) always appears, even when the List is not empty. I thought the ListView would automatically detect when to show the empty view.How can I hook up the empty view properly?

I dried it out and left it off. After 24hrs I turned it back on and the phone needed to reset it self, this was done. My phone has totally reset now but the screen don't work. View 3 Replies View RelatedHad the x10 for a few months now, and at the start i loved it!! Yes the battery life was an issue but got better over time although can basically never leave any apps running.
But now, my touchscreen is totally messed up, i touch one area of the phone and it either doesn't respond or it just starts going crazy. Countless times i have had to either lock my phone and try again or switch it off completely which is a task in itself because of the screen not responding so the only solution is to remove the battery. When texting, i for example will press the letter a next thing i know its hit every other key other than a. I'm even struggling to answer my phone when receiving a call as again the screen won't respond correctly to unlock it.
My partner got her phone at the exact same time and hers is doing the exact same thing. Is this a common thing for the handset?
I wonder if ne one had an major issue with their touch screen before like I had with mine. So I decided to post this little story. Let me start off with a little background info. I got my droid november 6, 5 46am central time zone. don't ask me how but the vzw dude was letting me earlier cuz I had work. I was so happy that day leaving t mobile I did love my g1 but wen I read all about the droid I felt likt I had to leave her and move on. She did do a lot for me but time tells all and it was my time go and move on.Untill two months ago (Present time I'm talking in) I realized not everyone has the bubbly keyboard. I saw friends at my unit (I'm in the army reserves) that bought the droid a couple of months after me had flat keyboards n they were bitching bout how flat it was. I agreed with them since I was woth a g1 the keyboard was a bit flat but nothing to were its such a pain, so my friend shows me his keyboard and I looked shocked played with it was like wow and I pulled my n did a side by side side comprasion and this before I saw the bubbley keyboard thread on here. So unforunately my toucscreen starting doin its own thing like it was ghost writer and spazzing out. I had no control over it this happened monday nite and I was dreading it that I will end up replacing it. But it would not let me do nothing.I couldn't go ne where on my screen it would randomly hit different icons to the point were sum times it would call my contacts. I only had control over the physical buttons. So on Tuesday during work I fought the ghost writer to let get to setting a do a system restore. First minute of the set up was ok but right wen it finish and I was on the home screen again. I was like FUDGE I don't want to replace my rare Droid. After work I replaced it, I was real pissed I had the bubbly keyboard and (something I didn't noticed untill I got my replacement) the golden plated volume side button. I miss my precious rare droid. I was soo proud to be first non employee to have the droid in houston.
