Is there a way to change MIUI V4's wifi icon in the status bar? I know you can use StatusBar themes but all I want to do is change the WIFI icon to cm9/ics's stock one, rather than theming the whole bar/notification drawer. GT-I9100

View 2 Replies View RelatedI seem to have a weird problem on my HTC Sensation. I have been noticing that when the phone switches from Wifi to 'H', the mobile data stops working. I can see the signal bars so no problems with making calls, text etc. I have tried putting phone into airplane more, resetting mobile data and a couple of apps that reset the mobile data stack. None of that has worked. The only way I have made it work is by restarting the phone - quite frustrating. The mobile data then starts working. It has only happened when 'H' is displayed as the mobile data.

I've installed almost every ROM available here on XDA for A500s but I couldn't use my Wifi. It keeps on searching for Wifi network and/or hangs. Play store, google+, gmail, maps, google now, nothing is working the only thing that i can do is navigate in the internet. I already tried to make a factory reset, adjust time and date, clean the cache but nothing solved my problem.

The WiFi symbol in the status bar disappears and 3g starts working. When i disable and reenable wifi everything works fine again for 3 minutes. I already tried a static IP. Other devices (laptop) have no problems with the same network.

Can't press the small wifi button on dock it will not recognize on the other hand i can press the Bluetooth without any problems and when i go to the settings the small _OFF_ button will not recognize me pressing it.
My data plan is eating me alive and I didn't know why until I finally noticed that when I am at a hot spot, my wifi never connects until my data plan is locked out.
I have a Note, not a Note II. I am on Rogers, not ATT.

The other day as in October 1st both my iphone and my nexus 7 will not play videos on my home WIFI. on 3g my phone plays and my laptop on wifi perfectly fine.

Apps like life360 location tracking apps, remote control apps like androidlost, which uses push messages and also polling services works intermittently. Sometimes it works on 2g internet and sometimes it does not. But on wifi, there's no problem at all.
But strangely messaging apps like viber works continuously on 2g or wifi without any problems.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have some spots in office and home that WIFI signal is strong enough for me to locate it but not strong enough for actually having internet access, and so it causes me to not have an internet access at all since 3G is disabled for WIFI but WIFI is dead. The option on the Advanced for "Avoid Poor connection" seems to work only for REALLY BAD signal, and a little bit more than that it approves. Is there a way to edit it? re-arrange it so it will avoid "Fair" signals too? or set a minimum percentage of signal (lets say 50%) and less than that it forces 3G.

After I installed to my Samsung i9000 with CM 10.0 ,..both of them not working ( i tried browsing using browser, the 3G internet it's ok, but whatsapp & gtalk act like my phone don't have any connection to internet).
Today, i just tried updated my phone to CM 10.1 nightly .. and still in same condition . I googling , but can not find the solution. Any setting need to do for this problem ?
I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 and i am banging my head against the wall because Play store won't open or do anything when connected to my wifi. it is however functional when wifi is turned off and only mobile data is active. Things i've tried (and still not working)
1. Cleared cache and data for Play store, google services, download manager and download.
2. uninstalled updates
3. Have tried seeing if anything has disabled and it hasn't, the last app on my 'all' is you tube
4. reset my phone to factory settings.
I feel like a pleb as I had this problem when I first got the phone but the clearing cache and data worked then and was fine for weeks but now nothing seems to work.
I tried to unlock my SPH-L720 (Sprint's GS5) so I downgrade baseband to MDC, all good so far, then I tried to upgrade the baseband again after the unlocking process but got an error, and that's it wifi and sound are not working, phone is slow, it has a security notice that something was block, and I can't flash it to stock ROM or anything using Odin, only got errors.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI decided to try the WiFi hotspot available through 2.2. GREAT! Actually worked quite a bit better than I thought it would. Only trouble is, ... now I'm back at home, it fails to connect to the home network.
+ Restarting phone
+ Re-entering password
+ Forgetting network + refinding
WiFi sees the network, says "Connecting", comes up "Failed to connect", "Scanning" and loops on that sequence. I know the router's working because this laptop is using it right now
So I flashed the latest nightly and stable Cyanogenmod yesterday and it as garbage. Keyboard wasn't working, wifi, lots and lots of problems. Then I flashed Vision-X, which was very nice, however my wifi was not working. I figured it was the kernel so I tried to download one and flash it, didn't fix it. So I went back to stock. Then I came across Omega ROM, which looks amazing. I want it, but I'm afraid that if I go through the flashing process, the wifi won't work again, and to get it back to stock is time consuming. which is supposed to let you flash one of those files in odin and it corrects the wifi issue. The problem is, how in the world are you supposed to know what version to get? There's like 50 listed. I have a Sprint SPH-L20, which is another thing that confuses me, I figured out it's a "I9505", but no where on the box, or in the phone does it say "I9505".
