Sep 20, 2012I seem to have a weird problem on my HTC Sensation. I have been noticing that when the phone switches from Wifi to 'H', the mobile data stops working. I can see the signal bars so no problems with making calls, text etc. I have tried putting phone into airplane more, resetting mobile data and a couple of apps that reset the mobile data stack. None of that has worked. The only way I have made it work is by restarting the phone - quite frustrating. The mobile data then starts working. It has only happened when 'H' is displayed as the mobile data.

Sometimes it works on 2g internet and sometimes it does not. But on wifi, there's no problem at all.
But strangely messaging apps like viber works continuously on 2g or wifi without any problems.

Jul 28, 2013I have some spots in office and home that WIFI signal is strong enough for me to locate it but not strong enough for actually having internet access, and so it causes me to not have an internet access at all since 3G is disabled for WIFI but WIFI is dead. The option on the Advanced for "Avoid Poor connection" seems to work only for REALLY BAD signal, and a little bit more than that it approves. Is there a way to edit it? re-arrange it so it will avoid "Fair" signals too? or set a minimum percentage of signal (lets say 50%) and less than that it forces 3G.

May 15, 2013I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 and i am banging my head against the wall because Play store won't open or do anything when connected to my wifi. it is however functional when wifi is turned off and only mobile data is active. Things i've tried (and still not working)
1. Cleared cache and data for Play store, google services, download manager and download.
2. uninstalled updates
3. Have tried seeing if anything has disabled and it hasn't, the last app on my 'all' is you tube
4. reset my phone to factory settings.
I feel like a pleb as I had this problem when I first got the phone but the clearing cache and data worked then and was fine for weeks but now nothing seems to work.

Apr 13, 2014I tried to unlock my SPH-L720 (Sprint's GS5) so I downgrade baseband to MDC, all good so far, then I tried to upgrade the baseband again after the unlocking process but got an error, and that's it wifi and sound are not working, phone is slow, it has a security notice that something was block, and I can't flash it to stock ROM or anything using Odin, only got errors.

Sep 21, 2013So I flashed the latest nightly and stable Cyanogenmod yesterday and it as garbage. Keyboard wasn't working, wifi, lots and lots of problems. Then I flashed Vision-X, which was very nice, however my wifi was not working. I figured it was the kernel so I tried to download one and flash it, didn't fix it. So I went back to stock. Then I came across Omega ROM, which looks amazing. I want it, but I'm afraid that if I go through the flashing process, the wifi won't work again, and to get it back to stock is time consuming. which is supposed to let you flash one of those files in odin and it corrects the wifi issue. The problem is, how in the world are you supposed to know what version to get? There's like 50 listed. I have a Sprint SPH-L20, which is another thing that confuses me, I figured out it's a "I9505", but no where on the box, or in the phone does it say "I9505".
General :: Allshare Video Playback From Other Devices Over WiFi Just Stopped Working

Allshare video playback from other devices over wifi just stopped working. It was totally fine and I have absolutely no idea what happened. It still plays music and shows photos and all the files stored on external devices. The only problem is that it won't play video. It plays video stored locally or on sd card just fine, but when I want to play anything from my note 2 (n7105) or my pc's allshare app, video player shows error message: "Cannot play video. This video cannot be played".
It plays the same files just fine, when I copy them to the device, so I think it might be the case of some transcoding error. It is not a case of network settings - I've checked on 4 different wifi networks and it's the same everywhere. My note 2 works just fine on any wifi and plays all video from tablet or pc. Here is what I tried so far, with no results:
1. Restoring to factory defaults,
2. Wiping cache and dalvik cache,
3. Flashing fresh stock rom,
4. Erasing all allshare apps and video player data
N8020 & N7105 (JB 4.1.2 rooted + stock)
