Feb 9, 2013I tried flashing a stock Android 4.2 JB ROM that seems legit. After flashing, I rebooted my device and saw the standard Nexus boot animation. So far, I though all was well. It's not. My phone has been stuck in this constant booting state for hours. I pulled the battery after an appropriate amount of waiting and held down the power and volume down+up button. Instead of booting into Fastboot mode, it went straight to Odin Mode. All I can do with my device is boot to Odin Mode or watch the Nexus boot animation over and over again.

Aug 11, 2010Was updating my SGS when it got stuck on the screen where Android is digging in the dirt and says Downloading... do no turn off target.
Windows is also giving me an error "The Program can't start because RAPI.dll is missing from your compter. Try Reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
I tried reinstalling Kies but nothing happens.... Why oh why couldn't Samsung have just let us update OTA.....

Oct 23, 2009I've got some photos stuck in an MMS that I tried to download before I realised that I didnt have the correct MMS APN settings in (due to swapping to the Modaco ROM). The correct settings are now in but the MMS is stuck at "downloading" status. Is there any way I can rescue it, there is no forward option and I've successfully sent and recieved MMS since.

Aug 18, 2013I'm trying to download Life360 & it's stuck in downloading mode when I try to download it throught the play store. Nothing ever dowloads, I just see the horizontal bar with the download indicator "downloading".
When I try to get it downloaded from my computer to my phone by sending the link, I click on the link & get the message that it is already installed but then it starts trying to download the app with the message "Waiting for Wi-Fi". I don't use Wi-FI and I never knew this needed Wi-Fi to download. I dont' care to be charged for Wi-Fi.
How can I get this downloaded and why would I get a message that it is installed but get the above happening (i looked everywhere on my phone & it's not installed)?

May 8, 2012I had flash my Galaxy Gio. Should I upgrade to firmware Gingerbread 2.3.4 Galaxy Gio but I installed the firmware Gingerbread 2.3.4 ODIN galaxy ace. Whereas existing binary error warning, but I immediately start. I try to flash again with the firmware Gio, but the problem did not get to downloading mode (already pressed the volume down + power + home). Which appear the words "Emergency Dload Mode (ARM 9)".

Nov 19, 2013I was just playing around with my phone until I rebooted and pressed the keys HOME+POWER. Then it asked me to Press the VOLUMEUP button to install a new ROM.
I pressed it and now the thing is stuck at Downloading...... Do not turn off target!!
I didn't root, neither I flashed a custom ROM, I was just trying to experiment, There is some text on the left hand corner saying:

I have left it like that for about thirty minutes and its still stuck at Downloading Do not turn off target !! The 2 exclamations make me more scared about turning the device off. Is it normal? Also is it ok if I turn the device off ?

Jun 17, 2012I am selling my old galaxy s due to having a new phone and I have made it freeze when it boots.
It was flashed onto myICS when I was using it and before handing It over I wanted to wipe everything so it was clean for the new owner. I did this in the phone options and then also in recovery mode to make sure, but after rebooting it is just stuck at the galaxy s boot loader.
I tried flash another Rom onto it and the same thing happened even though odin said it was successful.

I have the i777 version from Att so it doesn't have that home button. download mode doesn't work and I tried many times. I have the CWM on version 4.0.0.2. Once I turn off the device and turn it back on, it goes straight to the same recovery mode.

I removed GoogleTalk which seems to be the route of the issue and now I can't seem to get it back. Also, ever since then I get the following error message upon booting: "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. dumpstate_app_201008021101_com_google_process_gapp s.log has been saved. Use *#9900# to copy out log." I'd rather not have to factory reset since I'm already rooted and was just getting things the way I liked them.

Feb 3, 2013My Galaxy gio is rooted and is with a clockworkmod recovery. Yesterday, I tried to flash a custom kernel. After flashing successfully (through cwm recovery), i reboot my phone and then it stuck at boot screen.I did many searches but cannot understand any.I can go into recovery and download mode which is i think so required by odin.I wonder if I can flash any stock rom again easily. Need zip file with which i can put in sd card and install zip through cwm recovery by which i can unbrick my phone. I tried wipe data and factory reset but nothing worked.

Apr 2, 2014Recently I have tried to root my Samsung Galaxy 3 7.0 (SM-T210R) WiFi edition. After unsuccessfully attempting to install a custom rom, I believe I have accidentally deleted the stock rom for the device..So now, whenever I turn the device on, it automatically brings me to CWM recovery. I have tried to install a different rom onto the device unsucessfully, giving me an error saying "format() expects 5 args, got 4" It also says (Status 7). I have also tried to connect my device to my computer and hook it up to Odin, but Odin does not recognize the device.

General :: Galaxy Exhibit Stuck On Boot?
Oct 26, 2012I have a T-679. it is only lightly modded. I still have stock UVLE1 with Clockworkmod recovery...v5.5 i think. All has been well until recently I have been trying out a lot of new apps. recently i got the adw launcher and camera sensor. now when i reboot i see one Samsung logo, then tmobile/android logo and jingle, then another Samsung logo and it hangs here. if i wait some time and start pushing buttons I see that the phone seems to be active. if i push the power button then the vol-up/down i hear the sound of the volume being adjusted. also very curiously i just found that if i hold down the home button and press the power button i hear a shutter sound!? In some instances, haven't figured out if its a particular button press of just random, i can get the lock screen to come up, which then allows me to unlock the phone and all works normally... until i reboot again.
edit: I just checked I have CWM recovery v5.5.04,b I have a backup from a while back and i just made another backup I also tryied wipe cache/dalvik which i thought it worked because i think it booted directly after that, but i just tryed again and this time i see no benefit/effect

Jan 12, 2014All of today my Samsung Galaxy Discover wouldn't turn on. Nothing. Black screen, no lights, no sounds, no vibrations - nothing. I left it all of today to see if it would get any better, but it didn't, so I took the battery out and put it back in. Now it keeps rebooting itself over and over again, and every time it boots to "Android System Recovery <3e>". I've tried a few of the options but nothing is working, it just keeps booting over and over again to that screen. How do I get it to boot to my actual phone, normally?

Mar 28, 2014I haven't had any screen issues in the past, but today my tablet randomly decided to go totally black on me. I looked online and some posts mentioned to check if the screen was actually off, or just stuck at 0% brightness. So I got a flashlight and it turned out that I could see the screen in the light of the flashlight, very faintly. I tried to manually change the brightness setting, but that didn't do anything. I tried to go into 'power saver settings', but the 'screen brightness' power saver setting is stuck on and won't uncheck. Restarting doesn't fix it. Plugging it in to the computer or an outlet doesn't fix it.
I haven't downloaded any applications that override the screen brightness.
I'm using the Galaxy Note 10.1 (not the 2014 version).

May 17, 2012I got galaxy gio, which has Android 2.3.3, today at a worse moment of my life, I update my gio from Setting > About Phone > Update then it ask me for sign in, I login then it start updating after some time it says your phone is now restarting, then a 20 - 30 mints loading comleted and it stucks, then I restart it doesn't do anything, it only stucks at boot up screen, on that my screen just showing me Galaxy Gio S5660 and then nothing happened just stuck, I again restart but it stuck.
now I want to restore it to factory setting by pc, if it possible, I thing i have disturb the OS so I can only restore it by from my PC. I have lost my android
