General :: Droid 3 - Full Backup Without Screen?

Recently the screen on my droid 3 completely stopped working, and it looks like I am going to have to send in to get a replacement. That said, I don't want to completely loose all of my data. My question is: I got a screen viewer on my computer to display a live feed from my droid, and I am looking for the easiest way to back up as much data as possible. I don't think I can do a nandroid backup because of the broken screen, but I can definitely root and backup using the feed on my computer.

i rooted my T15A tablet with "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v17" tool and then installed/flased "SuperCharger_Starter_Kit_RC12". After the flash my internal storage shows up with 0 byte and i am not able to install any app. A factory reset did not work too.
I've got another original T15A tablet and want to create a full backup of this and flash it to the bricked one.I found some guides on how to create a backup by connecting to an adb shell. This guides are all device specific and i now dont know.what to backup under /dev/blocks/ ....
- how to do a full backup / restore?
- Maybe we just can fix the 0 byte error (but i didnt find generic solution about that)

I have a little experience using computers from late 1995 Year, and from year 2000 I am using also Linux from time to time, and very rare but it was a delight freeBSD. I have no experience on Android and MacOs.
Now, I all my family (father, mother, girlfriend and I) changed the phones on Android which is Linux based, but for ARM processors.
Anyway, I have played a little with Android 4 x86 on my laptop.From, my point of view, a Android Smartphone is just a little computer like an raspberry pi / pandaboard / beagle board.So, a mini computer with an Arm processor running a very small and tiny operating system max 8 Gb, when on my gentoo install I had been using about 30-40 Gb. I know, the size can be affected by the compiling flags but anyway.
Now, on all my system I had, from my experience I did 2 Backups, like this:
My laptop is backed-up on the External Hardisk number 1, and the External Hardisk number 1 is backed-up on the External Hardisk number 2.So, as it is a good practice to have a backup handy, I keep 2 backups in 2 different location in case of hardware failure / water flood etc. Some of the files I need are backed up in the cloud, on the internet.
I use to make IMAGES of the Operating System partition, and of the mbr , and of the partition table, with software like Acronis True Image, Paragon, DriveImage XML, Norton Ghost, Clone Zilla.
When I had to do data recovery I did an Acronis "sector-by-sector" approach image of the hardisk, and I recovered files from that image.
I assume that maybe I will need to get root on one or two phones, and one phone need's to be unlocked from the carrier.
Before doing this I would like to make a full backup of the phones.
1) How can I make a FULL backup of the android phones? In this moment my mother phone is a samsung galaxy mini2 Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 s6500 and mine is Sony Xperia L
2) a) If I will "unlock" the phone from the carrier (locked on orange, but i wish to use also Vodafone, I tim, I wind, moviestar, o2 etc)
b) If I will "root" the phone to gain administrator acces on it
After step A) and B) if I will restore the original backup, the phone will be "locked" back to Orange, and "un-rooted", or it will be "unlocked" and "un-rooted"?
3) Instead of having an hardisk like computer have, I guess the smartphone is using an "usb-stick/sd-card/ssdhdd"-like memory for storage of the operating system, so how can I see the partition table, the mbr, on the device?

I need to have a full backup of my phone with chipset mediatek 6575 (Haipai Noble i9220). i have a root :) i try to use gsscript with script fot mt6573, but it is not good. i think that my phone no use mtd partitons but "Emmc" partitons?
this is scatter file take by a "update firmware", i need all file , because i must downgrade to old firmware

I have a problem with my lenovo. I updated it by ota but the new sw was terrible so i wanted to back to previous. I backuped but many apps and chinese stuff. So i decided to full format, dalvik, chache, data, system and backup my previous sw everything by cwm. After that my phone olny vibrate. Adb devices doesn't see phone. But if I plug to the usb, pc shows me disc- stupid- but only i can format it (i did not do that), and after installed drivers shows it like Lenovo HS-USB Diagnostics 9006. All day i`m looking for files to flash tool but i cannot find. Stock and cmw not working.

The ROM that I use on my phone pretty much discourages dirty flashing updates [CM10.1 based]. So for the last 10 or so updates, I have clean wiped my HTC Rezound, then restored from a TitaniumBackup.
First I disabled compression of backups.
Then to restore I go to /sdcard/TitaniumBackup/ and run a bash command:
# for i in *.apk; do pm install "$i"; done
Then I go to TitaniumBackup, and every app is installed but doesn't have my data. So then I batch restore my data for my apps [Pretty much only user apps, except a few system things like SMS, WiFi networks]. But the problem is, recently, TitaniumBackup will quit halfway through a batch restore of "Data only." So I've been manually restoring data 1 by 1 for the apps that I need data to be saved across rom updates.
But then I thought, "Hey, why can't I just backup my /data/data/ folder?" but then I also thought that would probably be like a dirty flash.

I am using XOLO A1000. Recently I experienced a problem in my phone.The rear camera option got disappeared from camera function. I can use only front camera. I contacted XOLO care and they suggested me to apply FACTORY DATA RESET option.
Now I am ready to reset the phone but before that I need to take full backup of my phone. There is no software / tool is being provided by the company. find a software / tool which can take full backup (contacts, msg, apps, photos, settings, etc...) and restore as well without rooting the phone?

I just noticed that all the videos i recorded on my phone are centered instead of being full screen.
My first video was full screen on the internal memory and then i somehow changed it to save to external SD card the recording problem started (i don't know how to change the save settings).

I have downloaded several pdf ebooks and uploaded to play book via Google play book app. When I try to read them, that pdf files pages are not fully fit to the screen. But when I read the Google play auto added books, they are fitted with the screen height and width. Is it a pdf file issue? If it's my pdf issue, how do I correct them?

I'm greatly annoyed by GoogleDialer's phone app which shows caller picture blocked 50% by black blank area. What files do I have to edit to make picture more bigger or atleast make that blank space disappear?
I know that I could simply get another dialer but I like Google's version. That blank space just bugs me.

How to either replace the in call screen or put something on top of it....the only solution I have found thus far is to make my own ROM, which doesn't make sense for such a small portion of an OS. however I found these two apps (Full Screen Caller Pictures and Full Screen Caller ID) that are able to put a contact image and button on top of the standard in call screen.

I just got home with my new Droid and I am wondering if I got a lemon. My screen seems very dim. I didnt really notice it in the store, however compared to my Droid Eris (which is at about 30% screen brightness) the Droid looks much dimmer, even when its at 100% brightness. The only other thing I can think of is that its the Invisible Shield the guy at Best Buy applied for free. Do they dim the screen at all? With my Eris I can literally have it turned to 25% brightness and it seems brighter than the Droid at full. As does my iPod touch. It has to be turned down to 50% or so before it matches the Droid at full. I have turned off auto brightness and manually turned up the Droid to full.

I use DVDFab right now to convert movies to mp4. But right now, when I play an mp4 movie on my DX it's not full screen.
Does anyone have any software suggestions that I can use to convert my DVDs into mp4 formats that will playback using the full screen on the DX?

how can I hide the call screen and continue what I am doing .
or is there a way to remove the full screen caller id and replace it with a bar or notifacation ..like callbar for iPhone.

in some apps (such as VLC, Flash player, the stock video player, etc), there appears to be a small black bar at the bottom where the status bar usually is (even if it's hidden, there's still a black bar). I've had a research and saw a solution app called 'full!screen', however I have no way of rooting the device (It's an Android TV box with no USB output, only input). My current solution is to use MX Player, but it doesn't play 1080p videos properly, so I'd really prefer VLC at this point.

I just upgraded to latest android version but the only issue im having is that certain 4x4 widgets are now only available for the lockscreen rather than the home screen...
Is there any way to get these 4x4 widgets to work for the homescreen like before? Maybe there is a certain mod?

I'm getting my Dinc replaced under warrantee due to dust under the screen and the camera lens starting to fall off for no reason. I want to back up the device as completely as possible, but the main thing I want are the apps. I have a lot of apps and it'd be a pain to re-download all of them. What is the best way of doing this? Is there a setting or an app to make incoming Pictures assigned to contacts take up the whole screen (like on the iPhone)? The picture just seems so small to me and i would like it bigger. I searched on the forums and in the Android Market and failed to find anything.Any ideas?
