when I am on a game or somthing and someone call and I don't want to answer or hangup on him ..I just keep waiting until the ringing stop ..
how can I hide the call screen and continue what I am doing .
or is there a way to remove the full screen caller id and replace it with a bar or notifacation ..like callbar for iPhone.

How to either replace the in call screen or put something on top of it....the only solution I have found thus far is to make my own ROM, which doesn't make sense for such a small portion of an OS. however I found these two apps (Full Screen Caller Pictures and Full Screen Caller ID) that are able to put a contact image and button on top of the standard in call screen.

I know that I could simply get another dialer but I like Google's version. That blank space just bugs me.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to call screen of cm10 or 10.1 can appear more like miui call screen? I mean transparent. The default caller screen of cm10 is not good. Caller photo almost covered by black screen. You can't see the photo. In miui the caller screen is fully transparent it looks damn nice. So is there any modified apk or any way to make it transparent? Other than using third party app.

Set the Battery Full Notification - it worked well for awhile, then simply stopped. (???)
Text message notification still works fine, but not Battery Full. I have tried resetting, and volumes are turned up for everything including notifications.
The local store suggested that I look online for an answer (hence this post), they said the phone settings looked fine. If a fix isn't found online they will restore the phone to factory settings to see if that works.
Since I got my Razr Maxx HD over a year ago... I've just "gone with" the "Circles". Accuweather is now trying to push free apps and doesn't seem to remember I want values expressed in F rather than C. Is there a way to replace accuweather on my home screen?

My phone is rooted with CM and terminal editor. Although I've not well versed in terminal editor I can follow instructions, like adding read/write to the system folder so I could delete system apps.
I have the date in status bar and work fine (see bellow). Done by edited my systemui.apk by my self (decompile, edited, recompile�). Now, also in modify systemui, I want to remove header in notification area (pink cercle in screenshot bellow). With resize or delete the header. I need to know what values to modify in systemui..

That said, I don't want to completely loose all of my data. My question is: I got a screen viewer on my computer to display a live feed from my droid, and I am looking for the easiest way to back up as much data as possible. I don't think I can do a nandroid backup because of the broken screen, but I can definitely root and backup using the feed on my computer.

My first video was full screen on the internal memory and then i somehow changed it to save to external SD card the recording problem started (i don't know how to change the save settings).
I have downloaded several pdf ebooks and uploaded to play book via Google play book app. When I try to read them, that pdf files pages are not fully fit to the screen. But when I read the Google play auto added books, they are fitted with the screen height and width. Is it a pdf file issue? If it's my pdf issue, how do I correct them?

Here's the catch: the voicemail message has a registered phone number (the carrier's voicemail number). However, the carrier changed this number, so if I try to access the voicemail through the notification, the number doesn't exist anymore. Accessing the new number does not remove the notification.
Is there a way to change this?
Already tried clearing phone app data with no luck.

in some apps (such as VLC, Flash player, the stock video player, etc), there appears to be a small black bar at the bottom where the status bar usually is (even if it's hidden, there's still a black bar). I've had a research and saw a solution app called 'full!screen', however I have no way of rooting the device (It's an Android TV box with no USB output, only input). My current solution is to use MX Player, but it doesn't play 1080p videos properly, so I'd really prefer VLC at this point.

How to completely disable navbar when in full screen and use power button as "Back" and long press power means screen off. I want to save some precious screen space and avoid accidentally press navbar when playing games.

I am having to slide the screen down enter the unlock sequence and then see how is calling. I have missed several calls by doing this. I can reboot the phone and it is back to normal. When phone locked pops up who's calling and can answer. Works fine for a few calls and then back to having to unlock phone first. The screen will just flash on and off. I have looked for a setting and can't find one. Any ideas?

Suppose I receive a call on the handset with my app xyz running in the background. All I need is to fetch the Caller's name from the application xyz and display this name as" Akash Calling..." instead of "+91... calling..." assuming that caller's details are present in the application say, his name and none of his details in the actual address book. I know that the android version 2.3.4 (cool ic sense) doesn't allow this function, as it was added later in newer android versions (or sense versions?).
Either way, is it possible to go inside the rom and edit the sense launcher, so that it only shows 3 screens for example.
I've been playing with various widgets, putting them on the home screen & building groups of apps to keep the screen simple, so I can actually see my wallpaper. (Nothing special, just pics I like.)
Problem is that huge Google bar at the top. Is there an simple way to get rid of it, like the select-drag-drop for other home screen stuff.?Also, there seems to be some limits on where I can actually put apps or widgets. Is there a way to adjust this too?I'd really like to put a dashboard widget in place of that Google bar.
Finally, is there a way to disable Google when I select or swipe nearby the bottom of the screen?
This is a real pain-in-the-patootie when playing solitaire & the cards get near the bottom of the screen.
I have access to my email from the office. (Exchange). Unfortunately this means that I have to enter a pincode each time I want to unlock the screen.
I understand the meaning of this pincode... But is it possible to remove, so I just have the ordinary screen unlocker.
