I can not get my rooter Haipai 7102, however edsoedso has succeeded. URL....I used version 18 of Bin4ry on Linux and windows, same result.That's what I did:

When i switch on the phone, i can hear the sounds, but without a working screen, i can't use the phone. in attachment you'll find a photo of the screen.

now, the phone recognizes the SIM card, but could not connect to mobile network at all! also, on engineer menu, I go to Radio Information and it doesn't display my phone number. and there's a "gsm service: out of service".

That being said after reading through the root manuals and faqs I still am not sure if it can be done easily on a mac. View 7 Replies View Relatedi started with a stock N1 running unrooted froyo, then i unlocked the bootloader using the command "fastboot-windows oem unlock". i know that it is in fact unlocked because i see the open lock icon when the phone starts up now and i also see the **UNLOCKED** text in the bootloader menu. now I'm trying to use cyanogen's quick rooter (stock kernel) from here: Quick rooter for stock FroYo systems + 2.6.34 kernel - xda-developers. renamed it to update.zip (made sure it's not update.zip.zip), copied it to sdcard and I'm flashing it the same way i did the froyo update from the recovery menu but I'm getting an error saying signature verification failed. why would i still be getting this message after unlocking the bootloader?

View 19 Replies View RelatedIt seems there is a general voice search / voice recognition issue with non-english languages. The problem is basically that punctuation is written in plain and not recognized. It seems to affect a number of devices (if not all?) running ICS / JB.
So period will write "period" and not "." .
Same for comma that will end in writing "comma" and not ",".
(this of course in each different Language)
This basically makes the voice recognition totally unusable and useless for anything but English. So far, this issue has been reported with the following languages:
French
German
Spanish
Italian

I am trying to get in to the General Settings page in Gmail on my Hudl to change the "swipe to delete" value, but I cannot find the page. When I go into settings there is a General link but it only shows
- Auto advance
- Message text size
- Ask to show pictures
I have tried different contexts, inbox, recycle bin, unread email, read email, but cannot find this setting, in fact according to the Google support page I am missing a whole range of settings.
Recently I bought new General mobile discovery, but I don't know how to root it because I havn't got any tutorial bout rooting general mobile discovery.

I have been working on an issue that involves opening the zip file and then edit and replace certain files. I have seen a few posts in the past where it says to replace certain files in a rom, but everytime that I do I get an error after flashing. After flashing and boots to the main screen that asks you to touch the android, I get an error that says "Sorry, the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" and the only option is to click on Force Close, but it just keeps coming back. Something is definitely not right with replacing files in a rom, but Im not sure if there's even a correct way. Im using winrar as everyone has mentioned. I have tried using the Fix Permissions option in the Clockwork Recovery also, but no luck. Only option is to reflash. Does the whole rom need to be recompiled?

What i am asking, could restoring these apps for each rom slow the rom down in general? Or will restoring the data not effect it at all. Its just some roms feeling a bit sluggish after restoring them.

But i do care about the region they are set in... means when i start MIUI News/Weather (geniewidget.apk) I want to see News from Germany and temperature in Celsius..
When I play "who-becomes-rich" I want Euro for currency! and so on ...

This is the main reason I've held on to my iPod. Do one of these syncing apps identically mimic how iTunes works with apple products? So basically i could plug my phone in, check off the podcasts and click sync? I was hesitant to pay for one of them without knowing for sure if it worked identical to iTunes without a bunch of extra steps.

About a month ago, while in my back yard, I noticed that my Note2 was indicating 4G LTE. Problem is that as soon as I walk in my house, the signal switches to 3g. I wish that there was a way to force my phone to stay on 4g because even when the signal is very weak it's still 10 times faster than my home internet or 3g. Or is there a way to boost a 4g lte signal?

Now in not my most brightest of moments, I plugged it into my charger. When I later checked, I felt that the back was warm, so I unplugged it. The phone would still not turn on so I put It in rice. I then ordered a repair kit to open the back to open and apply rice (it came very late), and once this was done it still did not turn. Now the water damage indicator in the sim slot changed color, but I am not actually sure how to proceed. Can I do anything to salvage this phone or should I just get a new one?
