View 2 Replies View RelatedI had my LG Optimus rooted successfully using Motochopper but I ended up getting a update and it removed the root, I re-ran Motochopper like five times and not a single was successful so I'm assuming that update patched the exploit.
Is there anyway I can root it other than Motochopper or anyway I can get Motochopper to work again..?
I am working on Mobile forensics. I need to access locked android phone system files without USB Debugging enable.
For accessing System files, I need to root android but it is locked with pattern lock or passcode (USB Debugging Disabled).
If i'll flash the mobile, it will change the filesystem which is not forensically sound.
if i'm able to clone the mobile (bit to bit copy) for further forensics.
is there any way to root new cherry mobile phone OMEGA ICON?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is probably the easiest and quickest method to ROOT your Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0/ Karbonn S1 Titanium.
STEPS:
1. Download ZIP File for rooting in the attachments below
2. Connect your device to a pc and copy and paste the ZIP file you just downloaded to the external card on the device. (it really does not matter if your phone is in USB debugging mode or not.)
3. Disconnect the device from the PC safely and turn it off.
4. Hold the volume up key+ power button at the same time until a green screen appears. (this is the fastboot mode) Keep holding until screen turns red (recovery mode) and release to enter stock recovery.
5. Navigate using hardware buttons (power to confirm selections) and wipe cache partition and factory reset data.
6. select "apply update from external SD card" and navigate to where you pasted the ZIP file for rooting.
7. Confirm the ZIP file selection and wait for the process to finish.
8. Reboot the device.
Your phone should now be rooted. the super user app should now be visible in the app drawer of the device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI remember reading that you could touch the screen to show the camera where you wished it to focus. I was trying that and in holding the focus spot on the screen after a second or so the camera snapped the shot. No push of track thingy. Replicated. Did I just miss this info? I was really surprised. For me, this makes the shot really steady and clear.

But it can only discovery my notebook computer. If my notebook computer enables Bluetooth and sets Enabling discoverability.
The SDK document snippet:
android.bluetooth.device.action.FOUND"
public static final String ACTION_FOUND
Since: API Level 5
Broadcast Action: Remote device discovered.
Sent when a remote device is found during discovery. I think the remote device means a remote notebook computer except a Bluetooth headset. Could someone please help with this?
rooting a Chinese Phone. Amoi n820
The device hardware is pretty awesome for the price, but I have problems
installing gApps as they are blocked on the phone.
I have attempted to root using Unlock Root "its supported?" but unsuccessful.
I have Novo 7 Elf ICS 4.0.3, adb is root, but when i try to SU in shell or use Root Check app on the device i got "permission denied", and all root application don't work (root explorer, etc ...).
Superuser is installed and running, but it seems that su doesn't launch Superuser at all. it just wait for 15 s and then "permission denied"
I've used Tasselhof-RootScript.
what i can do?
I've tried change su user/group and Superuser apk with no success.
There has been a lot of discussion on Engadget about whether the soft keyboard has multi-touch. Engadget insists no, and Rob here insists yes.I think I discovered where the problem lies. Josh at Engadget was saying that you had to release one key before pressing another or they would not both register. Rob said in his review that you COULD press them at the same time and both would register. I think I found out that both are right.I did some experimenting and would love to see whether others come to the same conclusion. It seems that when the keys are far enough apart (more than a couple of keys away), then you can, indeed, press the second before the first is released and they both register.BUT, if the keys are close to each other, it will not do this. You have to release one key before pressing the other.I think this must be to avoid accidentally hitting two keys with one finger. So, whether you think this is a good feature or too much babysitting of our typing abilities, it does seem intentional.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi rooted my android phone (xperia arc- lt15i, on firmware 2.3.4) and installed titanium backup, with the intention of clearing away bloatware that came bundled with the phone. I did a backup of my whole phone with the app before proceeding.
but being the idiot that i am, i accidentally deleted something called "voicemail ..." (can't remember what comes after that). now it is gone from titanium backup completely.
the thing is after i did that i immediately lost my phone connectivity (can't make calls out/3G etc) and whenever i go to settings>wireless&network settings> mobile networks, the phone crashes, with the option of 'force close'.
but wifi and the other functions of the phone still work. i tried restoring via titanium but it still doesn't work because the file was deleted.desperate for a solution, i tried a hard reset but the problem still remained, and strangely after the reset i lost control of my middle, hard home button.
I just installed CM 10.2 - alpha 11 on my gt-s7710
And it is the best OS I've had on a phone to date. (my first CM) it's really nice. but unfortunately I have the problem with (like manny other) "Mobile network not available" so I'm forced to go back to the original ROM.
install alpha 10 or CM 11?
Is there any personal Mobile IP solution working for Android? For Nokia S60 there is Birdstep's SmartConnect, but their Android products seems developed only for carriers and enterprises, and I haven't figured out any other consumer (or free, better if opensource) solution. The same goal (seamless switch from cellular data to wifi) could be accomplished eventually with OpenVPN, but the client (OpenVPN Settings & Installer) I tried is quite unstable in my experience.
MotoA953
I have a 4G Sonic T-mobile hotspot (hockey puck type of device) working fine tethered to my Desktop, working via Wifi to my laptop and my iPad. No issues there. I also have an original Moto Droid on the VZW network, rooted, but no mods.
The Droid connects via Wifi to my Home Network (a Linksys Wifi Router), and other WiFi networks when I'm on the road. However I can't get it to connect to the T-Mobile 4G Hotspot. I know that's crazy, thinking I might get 4g internet speed out of an old original Droid, but technically it should work right?
Basically the Droid sees the hotspot, connects for a split second then gets dropped/disconnected. Or it's a settings issue and despite trying a million different settings.
I'm wondering if there's something in either device, or perhaps both, that recognizes one is a VZW device, the other a T-Mobile device, and it keeps me from making the connection. what might be keeping these two devices from connecting?
know of an app that allows you to browse youtube but does not identify itself as mobile?? A lot of content is restricted for mobile users.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been struggling to make phone calls/send texts/go online without turning on WiFi. My phone rarely connects to the 4G network that I know is strong , because my dad's identical Galaxy S3 is quick to connect to it. My phone rarely connects to Edge either now. When I go into the "Search Mobile Networks" tab my phone just keeps searching and searching... and searching. I thought I had the solution a moment ago when I turned on and off Airplane Mode. My phone connected to 4G for a moment and I was able to send one text, but then it dropped back into nothingness. In addition, it takes nearly 30 seconds to switch into airplane mode after I select it.It's not the sim card because I tried it on a different phone and it works fine. My dad's a cynic when it comes to rooting and he's saying it might be because I rooted my phone, but this issue started two to three weeks after I rooted... is rooting a potential cause?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Samsung Epic, using Dolphin browser, usually defaults to the mobile version of a website. So if I type in www.abc.com, it will search out m.abc.com. I don't know if it's Android, or Dophin, or just something in the website itself, but it does that. And normally it's right. Sometimes, however, the mobile site is soo dummied down and so useless I want to get to the main site. So how do I do that? It keeps going to the mobile site.
