I'm loving the screen size of my LG G2 that I just bought. However, there is one thing about my wife's Moto G that I love: the camera app. I don't care about fancy photo features. The buttonless shutter is the most useful thing ever to me. I want to focus on my kids in my shot, not where my finger is tapping. Any app in the Play Store that mimics the tap-anywhere-to-capture-a-picture feature?

My camera stopped working. When I click my camera application I get the message "The application camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". It's just a blank screen?

No success so now I want to go back to the original ics camera and gallery.. Unfortunately I delete the original ones when I install the 4.2 camera. So I download the camera apk and Google gallery. Apk and put in system.app the gallery shows up but not the camera. The gallery crash very often. I cannot make the camera shows up. Every time I turn on the phone it appears "Android update". I don't have a recovery.

Every time I press it to use my camera it keeps lowering my ringer volume and when im in the camera mode(from app) it wont snap any pics, it just takes me back to my main page and lower the volume. View 2 Replies View RelatedThe android camera API is bound to one camera device, but in some situation we have lots of camera device in a netbook or handset. We can't use the same application with different camera device dynamically. For example, we can select the camera device in the VLC (Video LAN Client) on windows because there is direct show on it, but we can't do that on android by camera API without changing the framework. Guys, is there any mistake at my understand? Is there any plan to modify framework to support this situation ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I spent the last hour or more in my backyard in 107 degrees taking pictures of flowers at stock settings with both phones. NOT an easy task I will tell you that. My back hurts, but besides that... I did my best to show the best quality of BOTH cameras, because they are both great. I realize that not everyone will agree with me, or will think I messed with something in my pictures. But these are all completely stock settings, not messed with at all. I only touched the flash on/off button.
My decision is I like the X camera better, it is easier to focus, and much snappier. Plus designated camera button! I found on the Incredible while the pictures look great on the phone itself and in gallery, that as soon as they were uploaded the colours looked washed out and not as great. I know this is due to the AMOLED screen. But both overall great. My decision is the X though.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am the proud owner of a SGS3...But I'm not the biggest fan of touchwiz and I love everything about 4.2! So like many others, I flash a 4.2 custom ROM. AOKP 4.2 build 2, to be exact.After flashing, I loved it. Everything about it was just perfect. It was fast, light, easy to use, and FAST! But then I go to take a picture. And boom.
"Can't Connect to Camera"..I had no idea what to do, so I did the first thing that comes to mind. reboot. But sadly, this solved nothing. So of course I re-flash my touchwiz ROM to see if the ROM was the problem. And the Touchwiz camera worked perfectly. Later on when I had time, I tested it out again, and had the same problem. So I downloaded a camera app, and same thing. I even flashed a different Camera.zip for God's sake! I've searched for the past week for fixes and every one I tried just failed! So now I'm really done with Touchwiz and want to customize the look and feel of my phone (which is one of the reasons I like AOKP!)
It seems that my camera only works on Touchwiz ROMs! I also tried another ROM this time running 4.1.2 thinking maybe it was just a bug in 4.2! But sadly, the same error message.
I was flashing a 4.2 camera .zip file and i guess it was messing up the permissions. So I disabled it. Now it is working perfectly so far. Yesterday i switched over to a 4.1.2 ROM hoping it would fix it and so then i flashed this 4.2 camera and then after about a day of use, it messed up the permissions.
I have been working on a build recently and everything is running very well with one exception.... I am getting an error when opening the camera. "Can't connect to the Camera". Now I have tried a multitude of things to no avail.

What are the best general settings to use on the camera?I always use manual focus where you have to touch the screen to focus where you want the lense to focus on, everything else is stock I think.Be interested to see your settings if you think you have it perfect or at-least as good as you can get with the camera

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have Infuse I997 with Gingerbread UCLB3. I think my camera got wet during a rain and stopped working. When I open camera (or flashlight) it opens up the application but the screen is black.
It also does not want to close and eventually shows a message that application stopped working and needs to close.
I unplugged my phone from the computer after looking at pictures, When I went to go back into the gallery they were all gone and so was the Camera file located normally in the DCIM file. So I have lost all my pictures that were on my SD card where I had them stored after taking them.I unmounted the card and tried to look that way also.

When I try and open up my camera app on CyanogenMod 10.1.3 an error pops up reading "Cannot connect to camera". This is really ups setting seeing as how I my camera on a daily basis. And I really don't wanna go back to stock TouchWiz on my Galaxy S3. But if this problem persist I may have no other choice. But I LOVE CyanogenMod.
