Sep 26, 2010I have loads of apps now and things are sometimes hard to find. I was looking at the add to home for arranging apps better and found the folder option. I can place a folder on the homescreen and drag apps into it. I cant rename the folder eg games. I have seen screen shots where people have pics on there folders to. Can anyone help me out please? Edit: OK, I can rename, how do you put icons on the folders?

Oct 18, 2010Fellas, I've got another question about my X10 Mini.I've been downloading many apps from Android Market and there are so many good ones, but also some others pretty awful.The thing is that unninstalling some apps from the phone leaves me gaps in the menu.I've got pages of the downer menu with only six icons, when the space allows 9. I have the Samsung Galaxy Note II (AT&T), and i have not rooted it or put any custom ROMs or whatever onto it. i have been using the music player app that came with the device. (not the google play one that looks like headphones, the app that i use is a blue and white circle with a blue play symbol in the middle and a green musical note on the right side. just for reference) i just added a playlist, expecting the songs to be in the order that they were when i made the playlist in Kies. however, they were actually in alphabetical order and had numbers next to them (01, for example). i would like to be able to change the order somehow, or sync it so that the songs appear in the order they are in on kies.

Jan 27, 2012When I purchase something from the market, it hangs on authorising payment in the market app. In the meantime the payment is taken from my card, I get an email with receipt for the order, then the market will error with the message "You will receive email when your purchase is resolved". The app then seems to freeze in a state of permanent purchased but not delivered. 24 hours has passed and I can still hit the refund button and process a refund.
This happens both on my Xoom and SGS2 whether purchased from the market on the respective device or from the website. The entries on Google wallet appear to be the same as previous successful purchases just without the delivered/shipped detail on them, and the message this item will be automatically downloaded to your device is absent.
I'm stuck in hospital at the moment and my tablet and phone are all I have, so this really sucks.I have tried multiple payment methods with no success.
General :: Software Keyboard With Alphabetical Key Order?
Dec 18, 2013I am configuring a tablet for my grandparents, and I am struggling to find an Android keyboard which arrange keys in alphabetical order (A B C D ...) instead of QWERTY.
I am not looking for a keyboard with combined keys using dictionaries like dialpad/T9 (which would be too complicated for them), I just need a basic keyboard with one virtual key per letter.
I thought that this would be very common and easy to find, but it's not The only applications that I found are :
Keyboard for Senior Citizens : would be perfect but does not scale up correctly on tablet.
Keyboard for Dyslexics (lol) : seems to be exactly the same as the "senior" version, did not try because it s an other pay app and has same developer, screenshots and description.
Kids Keyboard : Scale problem in landscape on tablet : too small.
Alphabetical Keyboard : takes the whole screen in landscape on tablet.
Simple Large Button Keyboard : Scale problem in landscape on tablet : too small.
SlideIT English - ABC pack : layout addon for SlideIT keyboard, but I don't like the suggestion panel remaining on the top.
Dextr Alphabetic Keyboard : the only functional from the list, but I would rather use a design closer to a traditional keyboard.
If any better keyboard with ABCD order or a keyboard which would let me customize the layout, I would be very interested.

I am wondering if I should switch the starting intent as follows:
LoginActivity MainActivity function displayListOfItems
The issue I had with the second scenario was that pressing the back hard key would take me from the MainActivity back to the LoginActivity and I didn't like this. I guess to sum up my question, is it normal for the MainActivity to handle all subsequent starting of activities or is it common to do a more linear implementation?

Feb 2, 2013I have a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx with an unlimited data plan and I use FoxFi all the time and love it. On FoxFi's (now PDANet) site it states that Android version 4.1 and later is NOT SUPPORTED on Motorola. Their recommendation is "Do not update to Jelly Bean." I understand that this update is going to be pushed to us sometime soon. In the past, my updates have installed automatically without any approval required. I cannot find a setting anywhere to make it stop and ask first. Is there such a setting? Is there a way I can refuse to accept the Jelly Bean upgrade?

When the device is booting, some times you find that Application "C" is loaded before Application "A".
What i need is:
Application "A" to be always loaded FIRST then "C" then "B .......etc...
