Creating SwipeView - Allow User To Move Through Screens By Flicking Current Screen?
Aug 22, 2013I have the beginnings of an app that will eventually comprise of three screens. I want to allow the user to move through the screens by flicking the current screen.
The screens should be positioned horizontally: 1 - 2 - 3
So, a flick from right to left should move from 1 to 2, a flick from left to right should move from 3 to 2 and 2 should be able to move to pages 1 and 3 respectively.I believe this is called SwipeView but cannot find any clear instructions on how to implement this.

Mar 31, 2014I recently got the M8 upgrading from the Galaxy Nexus. I am a design student, and I HATE, I mean HATE the current clock set up with that damn weather icon and how it all looks uneven. Are there any widgets/apps or anything which I can change this?

Is there anyway I can change my current clock or SOMETHING. I do know that I can add a new widget page and have a new clock, but I can't make this my default lockscreen. Sliding across on the lockscreen seems pointless to me - i want this visible when i double tap my phone.

May 13, 2010The default behavior of an activity when BACK softkey is pressed is, GO BACK TO PREVIOUS ACTIVITY. If some the same activity is waiting for some response from server or some data updation is going on and then press BACK, I want to wait on the same screen till the current task is completely processed and then move out to the previous activity.

Motorola Droid :: Make Screen Lock During Phone Calls / Change Call Screen Altogether?
Jan 18, 2010I am going crazy here... I've had this thing since it launched and everything is great except I keep hitting buttons with my face during calls! I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?

Apr 15, 2010I know how to remove widgets... you long press on them to move them/delete them. My problem is this: I don't know how to remove regular icons on the Hero. On the Moment, everything was simply long press to remove. On this, long pressing the application icons on my home screen(s) just opens the associated programs. I kind of wanted to move them around, I don't wanna have to delete a scene everytime I want to move one icon around.
In short: How do you move/delete application icons from the home screens? (long pressing doesn't work for me)

Cat
Dog
Mouse
And these are bound to the ListView via an adapter to a database.
What I want to be able to do is to be able to re-order the list view,. For example I want to somehow drag "Mouse" up to the top of the list above "Cat". Once I have an order set, I then want to "save" the list and its order back to the database.
Is there any way to do this? Has someone made such a custom ListView that I could use? The only alternative I can think of is to long press on a list view item and have a "Move up by one", "Move to top", etc. context menu that moves items around in the list.

Aug 19, 2010I used a ScaleAnimation to make a timebar shrink in a game. When the current level was finished, I wanted the timebar to quickly shrink to the bottom. So what I did was that if 30% of the time had passed, I assumed that 30% of the timebar was gone. So I just started a new ScaleAnimation that started at 70% of the timebars original size, assuming that this would look like a single smooth animation that speed up when the level was finished. Unfortunately the scaleanimation does not move evenly. It moves slower at the start and end, and faster in the middle.
So now I have three choices: Either I figure out how to make the ScaleAnimation move in an even speed, or I figure out the formula of how fast it moves, so I can determine exactly how big it is when a certain percent of the animation has played. Or, I find a smarter way altogether to do this timebar.

Oct 2, 2010I do like using the predictive text on my desire, i find it much easier, one question i have though, is there anyway to change the order in which the phone gives suggestions, so if it always predicts a certain word as the 2nd option, is there anyway to make that word always the first option? for instance if i type they, which i do a lot, view always is the first option, it would be so much more useful for me to be able to set certain words as the first prediction.
