I had a little time with the captivate today and noticed it has 4(i think) horizontal scrolling screens for apps. What happens when you fill those? Does it automatically add another one or what?

Is there an app that will randomly change your home screen and wallpaper to a different one at some pre-determined interval, say every time the phone restarts? There are so many cool looking home screens and wallpapers that I can't make up my mind. It would be nice to select a bunch and then have them randomly selected every restart or specified interval, kind of like shuffle on a CD player.

I have all the apps I need so far and most of the ones that came with the phone I don't use. Just feels weird having all that extra space.

View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to setup shortcut icons to specific home screens? This includes using any launcher out there. I know you can't do it in TouchWiz, even though if you press on any of the home screen indicators (the dots at the top) you can fast path to that screen. I tried launcher pro - but could not figure it out - that could be user error. The reason I want this, is to keep my home page clean and have a few icons at the bottom to get to certain pages without having to scroll. (examples music, tools, car, shopping).

I actually thought it would add home screens to the device (read somewhere that it should have 10) but I can only access 3 (the middle one and one to the left/right) after flashing it - and I am sure Galaxo works fine as the phone information confirm that I am on JC6 with Galaxo.
Any idea how I get the remaining home screens to work?

View 8 Replies View RelatedTwo things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

Home screen = places where you put widgets/applications, shortcuts...There is one main home screen (with clock, weather and some apps) + 6 additional screens where you also put apps and widgets.

When I was on the main home screen, the phone switched over to all three of the left home screens on its own (it switched to these home screens one after another). I just want to ask though how other people set up their home screens (I'm seriously lacking imagination) I'd like to know of what widgets & apps are must hav's!Also, I have dedicated my far left screen as a 'car' screen which i've got a music widget on and google navigation icon... View 3 Replies View RelatedI cannot see any of my screens. I just see a black screen. The screen has no background but it is black but lit up or active [not black like when it is off though]. No response to hitting any of the 4 buttons[home,menu,return, search]. I only get a response when I hold down the home key. A message pops up saying 'Recent Apps' and 'No recent apps'. I'm wondering if it is trying to respond but bogged down with an app.
This all started after I installed a Koi screen saver. The screen saver works and lets me close the screen saver but goes to a blank screen. Don't see anything. Sound rocker responds, power button works, I even heard mail arriving. Feel pretty dumb.
