Sep 12, 2010I have just got my HTC Desire and was wondering can you arrange the icons in the main menu (the big list)?Some i will never use and would be better at the bottom.

Oct 18, 2010Fellas, I've got another question about my X10 Mini.I've been downloading many apps from Android Market and there are so many good ones, but also some others pretty awful.The thing is that unninstalling some apps from the phone leaves me gaps in the menu.I've got pages of the downer menu with only six icons, when the space allows 9. How can i re-arrange the icons to put them in order?Is there an option in the phone as it comes, or do I have to download an app from the market?

Sep 26, 2010I have loads of apps now and things are sometimes hard to find. I was looking at the add to home for arranging apps better and found the folder option. I can place a folder on the homescreen and drag apps into it. I cant rename the folder eg games. I have seen screen shots where people have pics on there folders to. Can anyone help me out please? It is trying to load some thirdpartyplugins in packages/apps/IM/src/ com/android/im/app/FrontDoorPlugin.java file. Here it is getting plugins count zero and after that the app gets closed. Do we need some thirdpartyplugins for this to work?
Android :: Main Menu Folder Like Organization App
May 3, 2010I am looking for an application that would let me organize my main Android menu using folders or groups of icons. Preferably in a similar way iPhone OS 4 does it but I'm not picky and anything that would help me to sort out the cluster of programs I use would be appreciated. I only look for two features in this application:
1. That it organizes in groups (under one icon) or folders applications in Android main menu (and not on the main screens with widgets).
2. That it was free as there's no paid apps at the moment in the Market where I live.So, if anyone could help me or know of an application like that I'd appreciate all the help!
Samsung Epic 4G :: Replacing Main Icons And Messaging Application
Sep 2, 2010Is there any way to change the four main icons (I'm not sure what to call it) that appear at the bottom on every page? I downloaded Handcent to use for my SMS because I like the way it looks better, etc. But I wish I could just remove the "Messaging" and replace it with Handcent so that I have access to it from every page instead of having to click on the Handcent App every time.

On this last activity, i have several additional options (add note, share, etc..) and i also have a return to main menu button.
My question is.. how do i stack the activities so that calling finish() on the final activity will return back to the first activity launched? i am currently just starting the new activity via an intent, so pressing back on this screen doesn't return me to home as i would like.

I have tested the ViewFlipper, but I cannot use it: it seems not to catch the touch event correctly. I don't even know if it is the right component.
