View 3 RepliesMy phone won't boot up it's just vibrating after the boot animation logo with black screen but I can access the stock recovery and have charging battery sign so I think it's soft brick.
What seems the cause of brick:
I accidentally bricked my phone using root cleaner app and full cleaning option.
I tried factory resetting in stock recovery but It's not working.
Additional Information:
Our local phone doesn't have CWM and Custom/Stock Rom yet but it's rooted. CM Omega Icon has same spec with Micromax A121 Canvas Elanza 2 you could say that's the OEM of our phone. But unfortunately they do not have CWM and Custom/Stock Rom also.
This is probably the easiest and quickest method to ROOT your Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0/ Karbonn S1 Titanium.
STEPS:
1. Download ZIP File for rooting in the attachments below
2. Connect your device to a pc and copy and paste the ZIP file you just downloaded to the external card on the device. (it really does not matter if your phone is in USB debugging mode or not.)
3. Disconnect the device from the PC safely and turn it off.
4. Hold the volume up key+ power button at the same time until a green screen appears. (this is the fastboot mode) Keep holding until screen turns red (recovery mode) and release to enter stock recovery.
5. Navigate using hardware buttons (power to confirm selections) and wipe cache partition and factory reset data.
6. select "apply update from external SD card" and navigate to where you pasted the ZIP file for rooting.
7. Confirm the ZIP file selection and wait for the process to finish.
8. Reboot the device.
Your phone should now be rooted. the super user app should now be visible in the app drawer of the device.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm really bugged by the Cherry Mobile Flare logo. It's like this: when our devices (S100, otherwise known as the Karbonn A9+ in India) are still in Android ICS(4.0.4), it's really a breeze to change the boot(splash) logo using the AIO flasher. Anyways, since we updated our devices to JB 4.1.2, I have tried and failed (countless times) in changing the boot logo using AIO (partition table does not exist). The boot logo also appears during off-charging (before the animated battery). So I searched the web and found the link below(which looks promising) and tried but I get the "can't open dev/block/mmcblock0p18" error. It's NOT the boot animation, it's THE boot logo guys.
This is the link [URL]...
I'm new to this whole ROM thing. So I installed this Omega Rom and now in settings it says my storage is significantly down. My Galaxy S4 is 16GB, which had about 6GB free storage, now since I installed the ROM, It says I have 8.94GB total space, and only 2GB free space. How can I get it all back?

Motorola Droid - Original
1. Rooted 2.1, then
2. OTA Stock Update to 2.2, then
3. Seem to have lost root, However - I still have the Superuser Permissions Icon.
I use Barnacle for WiFi Tether - I get a "Permission Denied" error when I try to start the application. I also went into the terminal emulator and tried an "su" which also gave a permission denied response. I tried "sudo" and also got permission denied response. Others have told me this is common with this progression of events. However, How do I now ROOT 2.2 in this scenario?

Is there anyway I can root it other than Motochopper or anyway I can get Motochopper to work again..?
I am working on Mobile forensics. I need to access locked android phone system files without USB Debugging enable.
For accessing System files, I need to root android but it is locked with pattern lock or passcode (USB Debugging Disabled).
If i'll flash the mobile, it will change the filesystem which is not forensically sound.
if i'm able to clone the mobile (bit to bit copy) for further forensics.
