I currently have an Samsung Galaxy Ace and have just ordered myself a Nexus 7 (Google) Tablet and would like to know about my Google Play account.
1. Can I use the same account on both the mobile and Tablet?
2. Any apps, I have bought on my mobile, from the Google Play Store, can I also download the the Tablet, if using the same account, or do I need to re-buy it?

I have my Google account also setup on my wife's phone so we can share purchased apps. However, everything else is shared too. For example, even though I have sync for everything on my account turned off, my calendar still showed up on my wife's phone until I disabled it in the calendar app. Also, I can't remove my Google Talk account from her phone so my messages show up on her phone.
This is on a pair of stock Samsung Galaxy S3 phones.
I use mNotes to push my Lotus Notes email to my phone. The problem is it will only allow one device to sync with. If I try to sync both tablet and phone it will drop the other out. I am looking for a way to sync my tablet email with my phone over bluetooth and basically use my phone as the main server to send email through when I am not in the office.

Tablet is not a must but would be nice to be able to do going forward. So the idea would be someone who show an idea from their Laptop and plug in something of a USB device or could be software based but that is not preferred option. The project then could be sent to HDTV or Projector via possible wireless casting device. Have looked into various devices but hoping for some feedback from someone who has set this type of room up. Additional notes would the HDTV or Projector would NOT be connected to any server or PC we want it to be done wireless directly from the PC / Laptop / Tablet and screen shared directly to the HDTV / Projector.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just ordered a Lenovo S2110 Android tablet with keyboard dock. The idea was to use this 20 hour machine on road trips to do work related activities. For my job, I need to connect via VPN to get access to my work's intranet. I can do that fine in Windows on my pc or my work laptop. I was hoping to do this via Android and the Cisco AnyConnect program. Unfortunately my company doesnt have the license for Cisco AnyConnect mobile so I cannot connect directly via android.
Is it at all possible to connect and share the connection via my home pc that is connected via VPN via the internet somehow? Meaning, can I have VPN running at home and if I am away, connect through the internet and get the VPN tunnel to my android so I can connect to the work websites through the Android browser? Or access my shared network drive?
Only other option I see is using Team Viewer of Splash Desktop to connect as a remote session, but that is not preferable .
I have a Nexus 7, and want some apps to display like if it were an smartphone, for those apps which have both views available.

For example: I am in a train and I have a movie in my android phone and I want to see it but also share it with my friend on his tablet. I would like to see it in both devices at the same time. Is this possible? Do I need to download an app for this, to sync the reproduction of the video or music?
Can I use Wi-Fi direct or use a Bluetooth connection?
Can it be this made only between android devices or can it be a mix of Os such: android to iOs (apple)?

I downloaded Wifi tether App (had to go to a website on my computer, then use the QR scanner app on my phone to download the app since Sprint won't allow it on the Android market place.) So my problem is now that my laptop and Ipod touch can see the wifi hot spot and connect to it just fine BUT my Honeycomb Acer Iconia Tablet A100 can't find the SSID wifi connection. It shows all other connections except for my wifi hotspot. why it won't show up on my tablet?

I have been having some trouble getting my mobile network sharing to work. I have my mobile network on and its connected to my computer and i have htc sync installed and it starts to connect. It load the adapter to my comp but i get this error code 67 thing and it says that my PCS vision user name or password may be incorrect.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've spent the last couple of hours trying to figure out why HTC Sync would not allow me to use the Mobile Network Sharing (MNS). All morning, I had assumed that my notebook was using the MNS as I was able to access Facebook from the office. Turns out that I was latched onto a secondary WiFi access point without realizing it. So, after installing HTC Sync, all other drivers installed fine, except for the NDIS driver which is needed in order to use MNS. I searched high and low to find a download for the driver, and finally found it.
For those of you who are missing the driver (not sure? Open Device Manager, and see if you have an Android Phone device that is showing up as an error), go to your Program Files folder, look for the HTC folder, and in it, you will find HTC Drivers... that elusive NDIS driver is stored there. Just go to Device Manager, find the Android Phone device, right click, select Update Driver, and get it to find the driver from the folder above. Once the driver is installed, getting online is easy
I have a PC running Windows XP, which is connected to the internet using a wired cable modem. I then have a laptop, which I want to use to access the internet, but no wireless router.
Then I realized that my G1 (running Froyo) has WiFi, and I have the USB cable for it. So, is there any way of setting up my G1 to use the connection from the desktop PC via USB, and then broadcast it as a WiFi network? This is only intended to be a temporary solution (a few days) so I'm not going to go out and buy a wireless router or anything.

I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them. I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that.

I have sprint for my phone and my tablet has no service. Where this connection needs to happen is in places with little or no service. I use my xperia z2 tablet at the gym to watch TV shows because the treadmill is even more uninteresting than the landscape around my place. I don't like to be hooked up to it via headphones because I don't want to accidentally pull it over. So - I use a bluetooth audio receiver I plug my headphones into, and they receive the audio from the tablet (which is paired with the receiver).
I would prefer to just use my phone in place of the receiver, because the receiver is cheap and doesn't work so well (and i cant believe it can't be done).
I thought two options could be:
1 using the phone as a bluetooth receiver, or
2 somehow using the wifi hotspot on the phone to enable the audio from the tablet to play through the phone.
Does something already exist or is it even possible?
