Here is my issue :
I have 2 phones and I don't want to pay twice for an application on the market. Is there a way to share an application I have downloaded and payed for, once, onto the other phone?
Is there a photo gallery application that allows you to move photos from one folder to another? I use a File Manager to do this, but I'm trying to help out a novice user on an Evo; the Evo Photos application doesn't seem to allow you to move photos.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have to say that an user profile is a must have feature in an education. So no devices under android 4.2 aren't possible, because there must be an option to use "student profile" in a device to prevent any installation from an user.
1) If i have several devices (like 50 Android devices, Android 4.2 or later), what is the easiest way to manage them all at the same time?
- wifi?
- sync application for this?
- administration profile?
2) Do I have to make an account for each devices in GooglePlay or can I add them all under one account?How can i buy and install apps for each devices?
3) And does the Allshare offer sharing a screen with several devices?
How to manage several devices easiest wat - administration, installing/deleting apps, emptying devices (for example photos/videos...)...Or is it just better to choose iPad with a sync case? Im more interested in Android tablets because they offer much more for less money (example Galaxy Note serie). But I have no idea how to manage them all at the same time.
I have a HTC Incredible and my Fiancee will soon be upgrading to an Ally. I want to share my calendar on her phone, and vice versa. In essence I want my entries to show on her phone or hers on mine so we don't set appointments or end up with conflicting events. I know people have done this, but I'm just not sure on the steps needed to do so.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for suggestions for ways to share Android app data between phones running the same app. For example, lets say I have an app that stores a database of book reviews. If person A has a book review that person B doesn't have, what are the options for getting that information from person A's phone to person B's phone?
Currently, I'm aware of the following options:
- Upload data from person A's phone to a server, then download data from server to Person B's phone.
- Write code to have the phones sync up using bluetooth
- Write code to send SMS messages
I'm wondering if there are any more options besides these, and if there's actually a best-practice for accomplishing this?
Ideally, I want the users to simply click a button in the app to make the sharing take place, so I don't want to go down the bluetooth route because that requires the user to do a bit of setup (or assumes they already have set things up in the form of bluetooth settings).
Since the data can be of variable length and potentially large, I believe that would rule out text messaging.
As far as the server route goes, from what I understand this seems to be an ok way of doing things, but my problem is that I have no experience with having users potentially sign in to a server and then uploading data. I don't know of the cost concerns (if any), or of potential security concerns (allowing just anyone to upload data, I'm not sure if I would have to take steps to ensure someone couldn't bypass the app and upload malicious data).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from iOS to Android (I have a Nexus 7 2013). I don't have a ton of photos but I want something similar to iTunes that will sync my photos on my PC with my tablet. I tried many options but eventually chose to install Picasa on my PC and sync my albums to web. Great, I thought, because now all my photos appear on my tablet and aren't taking up space on it. But now I'm having issues with the Facebook app. If I go into it and try to add a photo it only shows me my camera photos. If I go into the gallery app or Google+ Photos and try to share a photo, it gives me an error. It doesn't have this problem for any other app, I can easily add photos or share to Twitter or Instagram.

I have to scroll all the way to the bottom to get to the twitdroid. Does anyone know how to remove the "share" selections like peep, or picasa, or facebook. View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday I took a picture and wanted to send it to my brother. I wanted to send him a URL to an uploaded file so I could then share that URL with others in the future. I did not want to email a picture because, frankly, it's not as easy as pasting a URL in a GTalk window.
I spent about 10 minutes thinking of all the ways I could do this using Google services and couldn't find any way to do it on my phone. Here are the options I considered:
Option 1) Upload to Google Plus - but viewing the photo in G+ app doesn't provide a public link. SHaring option only presents your standard email, mms, etc. options. Option 2) Upload to Picasa - but I get the same sharing options as G+ - no option to grab a link. Option 3) Google Drive. This was the last option, but of course it only presents the same options as before. Now, I can create a public link when I'm at a computer, but not on my Android device.
So I ended up having to upload via the imgur app and just sending that link. I'm okay with that for now, but I'm already uploading to G+ automatically; why can't I just get a public url through the app?
That whole process was very disappointing. I wish Google would give us some way, any way, to share a file via URL through a Google App - specifically, Drive.
I have a task here: Share 200 contacts between 200 android phones as easy as possible.Is this possible without having a google account? I have found some apps with backup and import options, but then I would need to add a Google account.I will configure one phone with all contacts, and preferably send some kind of file to all of the other users.

I am having inconsistent delivery of photos via text/mms.
I am using Handcent.
After the picture resizes and I click send I initially get a message in the notification bar telling me that it was Unable to Deliver - Retrying.
This happens EVERY time, however, in some cases the picture/mms seems to go through while other times it doesn't. I check the delivery reports and there is no confirmation that these mms messages either get delivered or not.
Has anyone experienced this and is there a solution? Using the settings, I've decreased the default picture size and I increased the allowable size of the file able to be delivered. This hasn't made a difference.
I have bought a new MOTO G, which got upgraded to KITKAT 4.4.2 version. Now when I try sending photo from Whats-app, by choosing
1) Attach Item
2) Choosing Gallery
3) Selecting Photo
4) Clicking Send
Nothing happens after this action. However, if I directly go to the directory, and use Whats-app as the Sharing Option the photos are shared.
enable sending photos from Whatsapp directly.
I would like to show the phone's photo gallery and when the user selects an image then notify my application on the image selected so I can get that images informations.

What I want to do is use my old Dell Streak as a GPS/media player in my car without having service to it. I would like it to connect to my current phone so I can make call through it, like a headunit with hands free bluetooth calling. I'm not so much worried about data, though it would be a plus but I don't think Android supports connecting to ad-hoc networks. I can't seem to find any app that supports this, and I'm not seeing anywhere on the Android system where this is possible. I haven't owned a car stereo that supports bluetooth calling so I'm not sure what to look for.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post on here - I tried looking for an existing thread that might answer my question, but couldn't find one.Although generally happy with my HTC Hero, one problem I'm having is that I can't seem to email photos.Say I'm looking through my photos and want to email one, I press 'Menu', then 'Share', then 'Google Mail' then enter the email address and then press 'send'. It then says 'Sending message', albeit only briefly. (I would've thought it would take longer to email a 5MB photo and that the 'Sending message' notification would stay up for as long as the email was in the process of being sent.) But there's no indication of whether the email has arrived or not. Well, it hasn't. I've tried different photos, different email addresses. but none of the photos emailed using the 'share' funtion have arrived with the intended recipient.Same with the Sticky Note app. There's an option to email the sticky note, but despite numerous attempts, none of them have arrived at the recipient's email address.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Photovault, thinking that it would give me the ability to go and hide particular photos, and it hasn't worked. I plugged my droid to the computer and dropped the photos in the "private" folder, however, they still show up in "Gallery", and are visible and do not need a password.
IS there any other app that works for the drod that functions like this?
I sync all my photo from PC to Google Photos and sync back to my android devices (Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Acer Iconia A500). I can view the photos in Gallery but when I try to setup wallpaper (Multiple Live Wallpaper, Wallpaper Wizardrii), I'm not able to see those photos/albums. I also not able to find the actual file for those photos.
May I know how to download those photos as actual files??
Do you think/know when we finally get the upgrade will I then be able to
bluetooth some of my photos from my old phones onto the Hero please?
I hate that the incredible default gallery shows videos and photos together in the same app. Is there any app out there that just shows your photos or is there a way to hide videos in the default gallery so I can see my videos with another app?
