Sep 16, 2010I've just got the x10 last week and was wondering which messenger app was good to use. I know BBM won't work outside of blackberry phones, so I went around searching what apps would work. I've found stuff like PingChat!, Kik, WhatsApp, TextOne...can you guys give me some advice as to which one is the most user-friendly and uses the least data? (I'm on a limited data plan). My main desire for a messenger app on the android is to send msgs to my friends internationally without paying for international text messaging! Please give me your opinions!

Probably not.But the 2.1 update will most likely come out in Q4 because in my opinion, why release an accessory for your phone that won't even work >.>But this seems kinda pointless unless your phone is on silent or is in a backpack/purse where you can't hear it.

Jun 29, 2010I have a no-brand (full price, 499 €) X10 bought in Italy as soon as released on the market. I still have the old R1FA014 firmware, and both SEUS and the OTA application say that I already have the most recent firmware. However the rest of the world had R1FA016 and now some operator-branded phones are receiving R2BA020 firmware. How it is possible that branded phones are receiving the update before full price unbranded phones? I'm so dissatisfied with Sony Ericsson. I always had Ericsson phones, but now I'm really disappointed.

Ya know, you could either have "Meeting", "Indoors", "Silent" etc.I know you can hold down the power button to get a couple of options there, but I would really love to be able to switch between different profiles, with maybe having a few extra options in order to switch to a "Power Saver" profile for example.

Aug 15, 2010So today I filmed the kids to send through MSS to their gramps. I used the MMS setting on the camera since the X10 can't edit video (amazing blunder if you ask me). But even with this setting the video gets too large to send. I've tried to change the allowed size in Handcent but that only removes the message about too big a file. The MMS is marked by a red clock indicating not sent. The original app does the same thing. Anybody else with this problem? The phone is rooted now but since so little can be removed after rooting due to problems with other apps I guess I'll just un-root it soon and live with Moxier. It's basically the only major app that can be removed without consequenses.

Aug 24, 2010I got the X10 2 or 3 weeks ago, previous phone was a Samsung Jet. I watch quite a few films but so far I can't get the quality. The files are mainly divx encoded but I have been converting to mpeg4 to play them in Mediascape. The video is skipping / jumping even though it is not at a super-high resolution, bitrate etc. Does anyone know what the best settings are to get video that's watchable? The Jet would play divx files no problem at all and I assumed the X10 would be at least as good...

Oct 22, 2010I am having issues with playing videos on my X10. I have used Media Go to convert .avi to .mp4 before and they have worked fine but now I can only get 1 file to work out of 10. I have played the converted files in Mediscape and now they dont want to work.
So......
I have tried several different conversion programs (Smart C, Double Twist and some others I cant remember) and I have also tried a couple of different players as well (Rock Player, YxFlash, Real Player) and nothing works.
YxFlash used to let me play .avi and I believe that Rock Player is supposed to be able to support .avi as well. Now, nothing.
I dont mind converting the files, IF THEY WORK.
