Do you think/know when we finally get the upgrade will I then be able to

I bought Xperia Pro mini and was told i will be able to trasfer files via bluetooth to other devices. Unfortunately, my phone cannot be detected by other phone eventhough the bluetooth is on. Even if I pair it with other phone & devices..it aint working.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have a number of users experiencing crashes with our apps on Hero type phones (hero, droid eris, etc.). After some debugging, it appears that they upgraded the app, but that the phone somehow cached the old version of the AndroidManifest. For instance, the app version is still reported as one less than the latest, and the crash is caused by the phone not seeing a new activity in the Manifest (which is true for the old version manifest, but the new manifest of course has the activity defined). This seems to be limited to Hero phones, but we've seen it on all types (tmeu hero, verizon desirec, etc.). Is there any way to fix this besides spending many characters of the limited description size on something like "Hero users: please uninstall before upgrading"? Will there be a Hero fix to fix this behavior?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had my hero a few months & really enjoy it. Was told upgrading would make it even better. I have noticed one thing right away. I purchased the backbeat 903 & it worked well with my hero. Now after new software upgrade o can't get it to pair or connect. Does anyone have ideas how to solve this. Also an existing issue pre-upgade is my texts after getting handcent sms is it notifies me 2x when I get incoming texts. Once with original messaging & once for the handcent app.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using the G1 for a while now and have been quite happy with it except that it only goes up to 1.6. In order to develop on 2.1 and beyond, I need to upgrade to a newer phone. I'd like to continue it using the new dev phone as my personal phone as well which limits it to AT&T for me. Seems like my only choices, according to http://www.google.com/phone, are nexus one, samsung captivate or HTC aria. Are all 3 good developers phones? Should I look for an unlocked droid instead? The nexus looks great but at it's a bit steep considering I'll probably need an android tablet for development as well soon. BTW, any thoughts on what would be a good developers tablet and when they might be available.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy understanding is that the GPS refresh rate for the Android phones (and most phones in general?) is 1 HZ (once a second). I read on a forum for a paid app that I use on my Hero that there's talk that 2.0 or 2.1 or possibly even just a future release will support the use of Bluetooth GPS receivers with will allow for the 5HZ GPS refresh rate or even newer standards as they come out.Has anyone else heard this or know of any more details related to this?

So I'd like to filter Android phones from the lists.So I'm able to filter some devices like laptops, computers, etc.Does anybody know what are the possible constants which android phones can have? in this specific case two phones in question are thunderbold and incredible. thunderbolt is rooted, incredible is not but I can root it if needed to make this work.

After renaming some photos on my HTC Wildfire S, Android Version 2.3.3 , HTC Sense ver 2.1, when I successfully connect via Bluetooth and navigate to the DCIM folder, then double-click on the 100media folder to transfer some images, I get an error telling me:
"You can't view the contents of this folder due to a general error. Try again later"
As a test I pulled those images off using USB and the error went away, but when I put them back and tried Bluetooth the error returned.
I then created a new folder at root level and placed them in that but now the general error appears immediately upon Bluetooth connection effectively locked me out, unless I use USB or delete that new album and it's contents.
I rebooted both phone/computer (Mac) but only removing the renamed photos fixes things. Surely I am able to rename a photo without causing some sort of permissions complication?
just a quick question, I exchange files via bluetooth for work purposes just wondering iff there is an application to send files to all types of phones as Im having problems sending photos, videos, music to various of phones i.e. Nokia, Blackberry, Samsung and so on.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?

On the link provided by the 3 website the Rom upgrade available is ROM version 2.73.405.5 but the one on my phone is 2.73.771.62. Now I'm assuming that the bigger the number, the more recent the software. Am I right with this and if so, am I correct in thinking I don't need to upgrade the ROM?

View 5 Replies View Relatedso I took the plunge and threw SenseHero 2.2 on my HERO.As with many others I was curious as to why i should upgrade. Even now im still trying to find new things to do with 2.1 that i couldnt do before. I thought why have a thread that people can post new things about 2.1 ROMs so that fence sitters can have a decision. So put up the apps/widgets etc that are 2.1 only and why they are so great. Also remember to state if it is ROM dependant (Villain/SenseHero etc)I am on SenseHero 2.2 the pinch zoom in home screen that shows an overview of all your 7 screens is wonderful. It makes getting to the end screens so much quicker, and it looks super flashy.At first i didnt like the theme but now i really quite like it.Live Wallpapers & 3D gallery they are pretty nifty, however on my device were not so smooth so I uninstalled as it is really just eye candy and does not add to the use of the phone. Much the same with 3d gallery, i had a few minor problems but was happy with the original gallery so switched back. Your experience with these may differ though so they are worth a look.Bluetooth file transfer is working? Or so i have heard, i havn't tested yet though Google Goggles, Although 1.6 is required, most people are on 1.5 roms. It is a really cool app, works great when wanting an online price as opposed to a store price. Ive used it to find some info on books for uni etc. It stores your history so you can recall everything you have searched.
AOSP Keyboard, I got quite used to the HTC keyboard but once i swapper it for this there was no going back. Much quiker than HTC keyboard and a lot easier to type. Though i do miss the long press for symbols, i can live without them.As for apps and widgets, so far im not too sure. I hope some others can suggest some.
On Saturday the 3rd i got a htc hero from t-mobile on contract, since then a ROM has been released on the phone the build number is 1.76 110.6 146733 CL47214release keys. the question is do i need to upgrade the ROM on it?

It's a G-Sensor calibration tool so nothing exciting but I wasn't expecting anything ever again after getting 2.1!

Took about five minutes for the device to fully reboot into the phone after the progress bar reached the end so don't be tempted to turn it off during this process.
