I hav an HTC Droid Incredible. There is a default widget that shows your favories in icon mode for quick dialing. I accidentailly deleted it.
No problem, I thought... add / widget / ............ the widget dies not show up in the list??!?! Not under widgets, programs, shortcuts or folders...
Am I missing something? Is it not names "favories" or "starred" or something? What am I looking for and where it is?

View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to the 2.1 ota update my entire clock and weather widget is gone. I've read posts of people having the weather app force close or the clock not displaying the right city but I haven't found one where the entire widget is gone. After looking in the widgets folder the only clock widget i have is an analog clock.
I thought one of the new cool features was the weather floating across the screen and now i dont even have a clock! Is there anywhere I can download the HTC stock clock/weather app? I know there is a million clock apps and weather apps but I actually want the stock one.
I dont want to take the phone to Verizon because all I ever deal with is incompetent people there and I'd prefer fixing this on my own if possible.
Brand new droid and incredible owner switching from a blackberry. I was playing around today with my new phone and I accidentally deleted the "favorites" widget. How do I restore the "favorite" widget to my homescreen? I want it to take up the whole screen not just the small shortcut.

But the messages are showing up still in the messaging app, ( i thought i enabled only gosms) and of course, when i delete them, they get deleted in gosms too

View 5 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am writing my first application and am trying to get my widget to load a different image when it is added to the home screen based on the state of the notification volume.It is detecting the notification state fine and the proper Toast messages appear when I add the widget, but I'm not getting any icon.I just get an empty button.I'm using the same code to change the icon in my onReceive() method to do other things and that works fine.Is this the proper way to accomplish that?

I have two Gallery widgets one above and one below. If the above one is scrolled then I want to pass the same touch event to the bottom widget so it also scrolls the same way.I have tried to use dispatchtouchevent events but I am facing an issue where in if the bottom gallery widget has some edit text then the edit text gets the key event and both widgets doesnt scroll anymore.I have tried to set focussable and editable to false on edittext even then it gets the touch events.I think I am going in the right direction. However I need some assistance in doing the right way.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can create a static widget without thinking, I can even create a widget like the analogue clock widget that will update itself, however, I can not for the life of me figure out how to create a widget that reacts to when a user clicks on it. Here is the best code sample that the developer documentation gives to what a widget activity should contain (the only other hint being the API demos, which only creates a static widget):

I basically want a widget which has a simlar layout as the twitter widget.As you can see the tweet text nicely wraps around the AUTHOR element. This can be done with one TextView using the following method: http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/faq/commontasks.html#sele.The problem is that its a widget and i only have access to the ui elements using the RemoteViews.I was thinking of using a layout manager for this, but its impossible because textviews are always rectangular.So how do i do this? But later on in the day they will reapear. I understand thats because they are still on my isp's server, so i guess they will keep on loading untill i delete them at home? how can i select all of the items in trash at once to delete them faster.

There's not even an option to create a new Android Project. In the preferences, there's nothing called Android.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased a Droid 2 days ago and had the guy at the Verizon store import both the numbers from my old LG phone and also sync it with my gmail account. I never managed by Gmail Contacts so obviously I had a bunch of random people in there that I would never want to call. I figured the best way to do this would be to manage my GMail contacts and then synch it with the updated list. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted all of my Gmail contacts.
At the moment, however, I still have over 900 contacts in my phone? I'm not sure where they are from because Gmail is still supposed to be synching with my phone. Is there a way I can export what I have on my phone to my Gmail account and start over? Is there an app that can help me manage my contacts on my Droid?
Anyone know why XmarkSync was deleted from the market? Just hard reset my phone and reinstalling apps and this one is gone. Any other Xmark bookmark sync apps? XmarkSync was working great for me.

Before I had a 1, 2, and 3 that I could see by typing "android list avds" on the command line but now they are gone. I have tried everything right down to reinstalling Eclipse and they are still gone.

I am completely new to Android and just got my phone today (Vibrant). I was syncing my Facebook and Twitter accounts... and seeing the updates on an app that seemed pre-installed on the phone. It displayed both the Twitter and Facebook updates in the same screen and had a little "T" or "F" on the side to identify them. All was well until I accidentally deleted the screen and now don't know what app that was to get it back. I went through them all.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the calendar app on my Droid set to sync with my google calendar. There are events in my Droid's calendar that were deleted from the google calendar a long time ago. If I visit the google calendar website, I can confirm that these events are not in the google calendar, yet they still appear on my Droid. I have tried deleting and re_adding the calendar under the calendar app's settings as well as using the "manage applications" area to clear all the data associated with the calendar. The calendar the appears empty, but after the next sync, those events come back (even though they do not show up on the online google calendar). What can I do?

I realized now that this group has something called moderators before it reaches the posting. Am I missing something or did anything wrong? View 5 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, apologies if this is the wrong forum for this topic, I wasn't sure where to post it. But because it's not device-specific and, in a way, "sync" can be considered an app, i thought here would be my best bet. I've got a huge problem: Ever since I got my Magic, and because I didn't like the feature very much, I had the "sync contacts" option to off. I manually entered all the phone numbers & email I had, and was fine with it. Then, today, I thought "oh, wth, i'll turn contact sync so that my gmail will also have my phone numbers and they'll be safe". little did I know. For some inexplicable reason, when synchronizing ended, my phone had downloaded all my google contacts BUT it had completely wiped out my existing phone contacts. At the "view" option in contacts, under the "phone" contacts it shows 0, and it does not recognise my call log or my sms list as sent by known numbers. Oh, and my phone contacts (neither the ones I had before sync, nor the couple I just entered after all this) do NOT show up in my google contacts AT ALL. Is there any way at all to undo this? I want my phone contacts back!Also, is this some sort of bug or error or does sync reallly wipe out all your phone contacts? if so, WHY THE HELL does it do that? I thought synch would be upload phone contacts to gmail, download gmail contacts to phone, keep all of htem in both places. isn't that the point? Why did this happen? I'm pretty sure it never asked me if I wanted to keep my phone contacts or anything.
