I have the LG Eve and i was wondering a couple of things about email. When I delete emails from my inbox they go strait to the trash folder, fine so far. But later on in the day they will reapear. I understand thats because they are still on my isp's server, so i guess they will keep on loading untill i delete them at home? how can i select all of the items in trash at once to delete them faster.

Is there a better mail app available because when I update the email on my phone then look at my email on the PC and delete a few when I go to look at it again on my phone those emails are still there. Is it just hotmail or is there a better app?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just noticed for the past few days, my Incredible has been deleting my email off of my pop server account after I delete it (from Trash) out of the phone. Before you say anything, I have "Delete Email on Server" unchecked from the settings. So I checked it, shut off the phone, unchecked it and then sent a few test emails.
With it checked, it does delete my email after I delete it off of the phone - obviously. Unchecking it, sending test email and deleting it still deletes If off my POP Server. I am a little frustrated because I realized about 4 days of emails have been deleted, although I have copies of them on one computer. I know it didn't do this out of the box, only recently.
Got my Hero almost on release date from Orange Uk. I am well happy with it especially after the ROM update (official Orange one from HTC). I suffered from the missing SMS problem thats mentioned in another thread on here but I installed SMS2mailbox and that seems to be sorted now. I don't use my gmail account as my main email account I use my ISP which is Sky. I have a strange hit and miss problem with the POP mailbox and I wondered if anyone else suffers from it or knows a fix.
I have the email account setup on the Hero and it shows mail in my mailbox no problem, the issue I have is that it randomly deletes mails from my POP server and only keeps the copy on the phone. Heres an example. I get sent 5 emails in a day while I am at work. I check my Hero mail app and it shows them all. When I get home I open my Outlook client on my PC and only 4 emails come down. I can check on the phone and it still displays the 5. First I thought it was a phone setting but the 'Delete Mail on Server' is definitely set to off. This happened before and after the ROM update. I wonder if it is peculiar to Skys mail servers.
Just today I have started having a strange issue with Gmail on my Droid. If I delete a message from my phone, it appears to delete OK, and disappears from the phone. If I go to the computer and log in, however, the message will still be there, no matter how long I wait. This is causing my Gmail counter widget I have installed on the phone to show an incorrect number, as it is counting the messages on the server, not the phone. No matter how many times I try to resync Gmail, once I delete a message from my phone, it will not show back up on the phone, but will remain on the server until I log into a computer & delete them from there.

The phones are set up identically.Her deleted email returns the next day after it has been deleted off the phone and off her computer.My email remains deleted correctly no problems. Anybody have an idea as to why this is happening.

Ally syncs to check for new emails, and the emails you have read or deleted pop up again as new emails. Extremely frustrating and inconvenient, and was wondering if anyone else has this problem, and if there's a solution. Spoke to LG tech support and their solution was to delete the Aol IMAP account and add it again as a POP3 account, then select the 'Delete From Server' checkbox. (and they're supposedly working on a fix. this problem cropped up after i installed an update in August.) This solution seems to have solved that problem, but now it takes forever for Aol to sync with my Ally; and it drains the battery. I set up GMail to sync up with Aol, but it's not instantaneous. Sometimes i don't get new emails for 30 minutes or more. Not good for business. And the Aol mail mobile web page is slow.

What do I need to do delete email for good from my phone?
Did a search but couldn't find anything on this. I don't have a single song on my Eris. And probably only about 20 pics. Very vew apps. Which tells me this is all based on my email file. I sync'd up both the Sent Items and the Deleted Items about a week ago and I'm betting that stuff has filled up my card. If there a way to clear those two buckets? I really don't need Deleted and Sent on my phone. Didn't realize it would take so much room on the card. Anybody have any ideas?

Anytime I click it it gives me an authentication error and asks me to sign into it, which I can't do of course, becauseit no longer exists. He uses a Hotmail address.
If he:Downloads the e-mails on his phone, thenDeletes an e-mail via. the website (mail.live.co.uk) ... the deleted e-mails doesn't disappear from his phone in the Email app.
This means he now has 500+ e-mails in the app when there are only around 50 in his inbox.
I don't use gmail app, I use normal email app like normal people who does not want to use 3 different email apps for 3 different accounts, so when I get an e-mail in Gmail and I delete it, it keeps coming back as new e-mail. When I open it it shows for a few seconds and then disappears, then new email count disappears. After I go back to using the phone new email appears again, then the same cycle..

I searched several forums reviews blogs etc but couldn't find anything on this point. It would be very useful because it would allow me to easily keep track of the emails I send from the mobile, just like I do with Profimail on my Nokia at the moment.

In the main menu I chose "email" and added my pop servers URL and the next line asks for the password which I entered however it will not let me highlight either the "manual set up" or the "next" icons in a gray bar just below the password box. Tried it several times now. Certainly a Droid should be able to handle pop server mail??
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Gmail works perfectly (of course it does) but my Email program is another story. I can get it to sync fine with my Cox e-mail after I manually set it up, but I will not automatically retrieve e-mails from the server regardless of what I set the check interval to. I purposely sent myself a test email from another source and the phone never receives it unless I physically go into the email program and then it connects to the server and downloads the message. Is anyone else experiencing this? Am I doing something wrong? Right now I have the phone set to 5 min check intervals and it still doesn't automatically indicate I have new mail even though I know there is two brand new e-mails sitting there waiting for me.

I have 3 seperate email accounts but am having a problem when forwarding emails from my Corporate Exchange Server account. When forwarding an email the recepient receives the forwarded email as a .eml attachment. My other accounts forward the actual email and all settings are the same.Is there something else I need to set different on this email account?
I wants to create a Email client with Exchange &/or Lotus Domino mail server. if possible then provide some code so that I can read and implement as own requirement, other wise at least how to implement.

I would like the number of new items in each folder (I filter on my server) a tree view of folders (so if I have a folder/subfolder then the subfolders are hidden ability to search for messages with a particular subject.

1. Delete email from server using my desktop browser/outlook/etc (not from EVO).
2. Hit refresh on the EVO
3. EVO updates to no longer show messages that I deleted off the server

I'm having issues ever since I switched to my first Android phone, which was the Nexus 4, 8 months ago.For some reason I can receive emails without any problems, but can't send any?They just sit in the Outbox forever!
- For incoming messages I have set it to POP3 / mail.xxx.xx - STARTTLS (accept all certificates) - Port 110
- And for outgoing messages I have set it to SMTP / smtp.mail.xxx.xxx - STARTTLS (accept all certificates) - Port 587
* I'm using the same settings as on my laptop, which work flawless under these settings.
Once I delete an email I've read on my phone, can I have it set so that it deletes it from the mail server? It's pretty annoying that I'm seeing these emails again when I login to webmail. I don't see an option in email settings.

Can receive email but sending on the move fails. Three customer service don't know and cant be bothered ringing them up again and hanging on for ages warming up my ear.
