App. java contains frontend buttons and functionalities Gallery.java lists the imagesin the sd card. i want to call Gallery.java in click event in app.java

Android :: Deleted AndroidManifest File / Get It File Into Package?
Sep 15, 2010I accidentally deleted the AndroidManifest.xml from the Package Explorer panel. The file still exists intact in the original directory but I cant find any option in the Eclipse ide that seems to be for restoring it. I thought it might be 'Import' but manifest isnt one of the types on offer. Can anyone suggest how I can get the file into the package?

Jan 21, 2009I checked out cupcake branch yesterday and made the full build and sdk successfully, and I also built the ADT 0.9 with the command cupcake/development/tools/eclipse/scripts /build_ server.sh on another Linux box. Then I updated the ADT 0.9 and set new SDK on Eclipse. Then I created a simple Android project Test with Android Project Wizard, the Eclipse created project files except the R.java and then reported following errors. Aug 16, 2010I do an import of the full package name / java file, and if I do a <classname>.<method>, SOMETIMES I can get it to access - other times I get a lot of can't use a static in a non static bunch of talk. I'll admit I'm new to Java, so what do I need to do? Call a class instance first, then call my methods? I'm rather confused by this, as I want to put all of my 'functions' into a FunctionsList.java file, and all of my main Activity (UI) into a MyActivity.java file.
For example:

private class MyActivity extends Activity {
FunctionsList.function();
}
9/10 times I get that static/non-static error. If I put all of my functions into MyActivity.java, I have zero problems!

Jun 21, 2010i had to turn off the settings for the Mobile Networks MMS and data because it automatically connects to my provider and I am being charged and this usually happens when I touch on Timescape. I just dont know if its connected though but after doing so, after sometime my Messaging system prompts me up a message saying that there was an error (android.system.mms) and it needs to fore close and then after that all of my messages were automatically deleted including the message updates in the splines. I already went to the Service Center and the only thing they told me was it will be okay once I have updated to the new version which is the 2.1.

Jun 11, 20122 days ago I tried to update my aunts sensation xl and told her that it is better to update its ROM from 2.3.5 to 4.0.3. So i created a google account in phone and added it in order to sync contacts....and after 2 hours, I thought that it has been synced...After upgrading device to ICS, and adding the previous account that i made before upgrading, I was waiting for contacts to restore, but nothing happend.. I opened the gmail account on PC and saw that there was no contacts. So the only way for me to restore the contacts is to find a way to restore them from Phone device. So,is there any software, either on phone or PC, to restore contacts from phone? or is there a way to have access to root folders and files of phone on PC to use a recovery program to restore "Contacts.db" file that was erased while flashing ICS?

May 30, 2012I am unable to publish my Android app on Google Play because the APK file has apparently been deleted from my console. I uploaded all of the screenshots and other things required for publication. I uploaded the APK file first. I now have no way to upload a replacement APK file and cannot upload a later version either. When I click the "publish" button I get an error message saying that the app will be available to zero devices because the APK file is not present. I suppose I can change the name of the APK file and upload it as a new app but I can't think of a better name than the one I picked already.
I did try to upgrade my original APK file with a newer version before publishing my original APK file. I wasn't allowed to do this and this might have caused the deletion but I don't know.
General :: Deleted System File On Impression 10
Nov 5, 2012OK the system folder was deleted on the Impression 10. It boots but gets hung on the "Impression" logo. I hook it up to the computer, the computer recognzes it but I cannot access the files on both the SD Card nor the internal memory. Android Commander and ADB cannot access it. I have the stock system image file from leader, I also backed-up my system folder. how I can push the files from the computer to the tablet or is it too far gone?

Dec 10, 2013I sent a snapchat on accident without saving it, and it was one I meant to save. I really want to find it, but I can't seem to figure out how to open the nomedia file.
I plugged my phone into my computer and found all the snapchat files, and I read that you can just delete .NOMEDIA from the name and it turns it to a JPEG and opens it. The one I want to open is:
h1a81hurcs00h1380872338543.jpg.nomedia
Certainly enough, when I rename it without the nomedia, it recognizes it as a JPEG, but when I open it with windows photo viewer, it can't open it. It says the file may be damaged/corrupted/wrong file type.

Jan 12, 2010I have been having quite some problems with R.java file. Now I have decided to do a backup and delete the file to see what happens. Nothing happened, so I created an empty R.java file and hopped for the best. Now Eclipse seems to figure out that the file was tempered with and even issues a warning: R.java was modified manually! Reverting to generated version. And that's all there is. I tried building it manually but got no results. So, I have two questions: 1. what should I do to force Eclipse to generate the file. 2. what is happening here? How is the file created, where is the code that is generating the file? I would appreciate any help.

I saw that there is an Intent action: ACTION_PACKAGE _ INSTALL, available and the developer reference says: "Broadcast Action: Trigger the download and eventual installation of a package" So I wrote a program like so:

But this fails to do the intended task (which is download and install the application). I'm not able to figure what is happening to this broadcast intent, no logs get printed in LogCat. Any pointers on where to look or how to proceed?
