just got a Motorola Backflip and I have the Facebook android app for it. My Facebook contacts have synced but I have no seen a place or way to sync my Facebook events/calendar with my device calendar. Is there a way to do this?

Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

My phone is cluttered with other people's events in which I have no interest, to the extent that my ability to see what is on my calendar is impaired. This is true both with the native app and CalendarPad which I downloaded specifically to get around this, and also for events I have declined.Anyone know of a way to keep Facebook events off my Android calendars?

Google Calendar on the web shows everything correct BUT, my Droid, even after syncing, shows duplicates of some Events - seems random - and these are not on the web Calendar as duplicates, also shows Events but does not show what they say unless you click on them - no text. What do I do? Do I remove the duplicate in Droid or just let it sync itself correct in time? is there a way to have it better sync?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my facebook synced with my calendar, now I came from Web OS and if you would confirm to an event, it would show up in your calender, if you would put maybe/not attending, it wouldn't for those pesky 2 month events that people love to make. Now my problem is that I have it synced, and double checked and I am declined for the events and even have the "hide declined events" checked but yet they are still being displayed.

The synch does not eliminate the past events on the exchange server on on my laptop google calender. My blackberry had a setting for this. I can not find a similar setting which allows me to retain the past events on the Droid.

1) duplicate events in calendar
2) wrong dates for events
3) no sync after initial sync
I have reverted back to a working older version.
My Google Calendar App syncs google calendar appointments just fine. But "Corporate" accounts, which include my Hotmail and GroupWise calendars, won't sync calendar appointments older than two weeks. Even worse: appointments from older than two weeks ago actually drop off.
On settings, I have it set to sync all. I tried adding and removing accounts. I tried deleting calendar memory/cache. I have even tried returning my Nexus 7. The replacement has the same issue.
Apparently everything works correctly, but when entering the application does not see any event. Neither I can create a new event.
My device is a Clone S4 came with Google Play but could not use Google Play services (needed to run Google Calendar), so install GAAP Core 4.2.2, everything worked except Google Calendar. Which are the (apps) files necessary to have Google Calendar working properly in a Chinese device?
i know froyo added the ability to sync events with facebook ... i was wondering if there was a way to have it only sync the events and not the birthdays since having everyones birthday in the calendar is annoying for me.

My old calendar had individual pop ups for each event, the pop up allowed you to open/snooze/ or dismiss each item individually. Also my old calendar had no trouble syncing my gmail and facebook calendars. Android seems to have trouble doing this seemingly simple task. Is there an app or special calendar that can do this?

I am a medical student and have a pretty crazy schedule and I have relied on google calendar for several years now to keep my schedule. I was excited to use it on my phone, but my problem is that it is syncing with facebook and uploading all these birthdays. Now, I don't want to sound like a jerk who doesn't care about my friends birthdays but I already check those through facebook - they are cluttering up my calendar and I want them off! I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it stop syncing with facebook and it could just be that I don't know where to go. I have looked under "Settings" within the calendar and haven't found it.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI do not have sync birthdays checked under my accounts. The Facebook birthday events have been added to "my calendar" events. I have even done a hard reset.
Seems like a syncing issue. I want to be able to use LPP agenda widget, but I can not customize which calendars to view. This has not happened on my Droid X or Incredible.
Has anyone else noticed that when you sync "my calendar" with facebook it duplicates birthdays? Sometimes even triples! I removed "my calendar" option in calendar, but now all the birthdays are gone --I want it to show birthdays just not duplicates of them!
