Apr 7, 2010just got a Motorola Backflip and I have the Facebook android app for it. My Facebook contacts have synced but I have no seen a place or way to sync my Facebook events/calendar with my device calendar. Is there a way to do this?

Jun 15, 2010I did a search but cant seem to find an answer. I finally got my work email set up through active sync. Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

Feb 10, 2010Google Calendar on the web shows everything correct BUT, my Droid, even after syncing, shows duplicates of some Events - seems random - and these are not on the web Calendar as duplicates, also shows Events but does not show what they say unless you click on them - no text. What do I do? Do I remove the duplicate in Droid or just let it sync itself correct in time? is there a way to have it better sync?

Nov 9, 2012My Google Calendar App syncs google calendar appointments just fine. But "Corporate" accounts, which include my Hotmail and GroupWise calendars, won't sync calendar appointments older than two weeks. Even worse: appointments from older than two weeks ago actually drop off.
On settings, I have it set to sync all. I tried adding and removing accounts. I tried deleting calendar memory/cache. I have even tried returning my Nexus 7. The replacement has the same issue.
General :: Can't Sync Or Create Events With Google Calendar On MTK Device
Feb 25, 2014Apparently everything works correctly, but when entering the application does not see any event. Neither I can create a new event.
My device is a Clone S4 came with Google Play but could not use Google Play services (needed to run Google Calendar), so install GAAP Core 4.2.2, everything worked except Google Calendar. Which are the (apps) files necessary to have Google Calendar working properly in a Chinese device?

Jan 4, 2014I just moved from blackberry to android and I am having some issues with the calendar. My old calendar had individual pop ups for each event, the pop up allowed you to open/snooze/ or dismiss each item individually. Also my old calendar had no trouble syncing my gmail and facebook calendars. Android seems to have trouble doing this seemingly simple task. Is there an app or special calendar that can do this?

Aug 28, 2010I have an HTC Evo and am getting used to the Android system - this is my first smartphone too so please excuse my ignorance. I am a medical student and have a pretty crazy schedule and I have relied on google calendar for several years now to keep my schedule. I was excited to use it on my phone, but my problem is that it is syncing with facebook and uploading all these birthdays. Now, I don't want to sound like a jerk who doesn't care about my friends birthdays but I already check those through facebook - they are cluttering up my calendar and I want them off! I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it stop syncing with facebook and it could just be that I don't know where to go. I have looked under "Settings" within the calendar and haven't found it.

My phone is cluttered with other people's events in which I have no interest, to the extent that my ability to see what is on my calendar is impaired. Jan 5, 2010I use Google calendar every day. If I update on my PC it is on my phone almost instantaneously if I amend that appointment on my Hero it will not sync to the PC over 3G. (I amend, update on the move during my day out and about) The only way to sync is to return to the PC and connect my phone to home wifi and force a sync. (untick calendar in "Application sync settings" the re-tick) My Googlemail and contacts sync fine, 3G and wifi.

Jul 23, 2010This is weird and I am starting to lose love for Android and my Hero... with Android 2.1 you can now have more than 1 Google account on your phone. I have two gmail accounts there under the phone's gmail app. (Both only update once per blue moon but that is an entirely separate issue ... I think).
I want to be able to sync my Google calendar with the phone's calendar, as I used to be able to do do quite nicely and easily on my crackberry, shouldn't be rocket science. So with the two gmail accounts on my phone, account #1 is one where I do NOT want to sync, either contacts or calendar, ever. Account #2 is the one where I *DO* want to sync contacts, email and calendar.
So I bring up the Gmail app on the phone, hit menu, hit accounts, hit menu again, then hit settings. Both accounts are showing up there. Going to account #2 (the one I *DO* want to sync with everything), the sync button is checked but there is *NO* calendar button to indicate it should also sync with calendar?? But doing the same thing with account #1 (the one I NEVER want to use to sync contacts or calendar), the calendar sync button *IS* there. WTH?
I thought maybe because the account I never want to sync with was added first, so I thought I would DELETE that one, get the calendar sync setup, then re-add that account. Nope - the phone says that if I do that, I will have to reset the phone back to factory settings and lose all personal data. WTF - was this phone and operating system made by Fred Flintstone?

Jul 28, 2010I just bought the htc evo 4g yesterday... and it's an amazing phone! this is my first droid and i already love it a thousand time better than my blackberry touch. i was messing with the sync options last night and selected to sync with my facebook account. i didn't realize that it was going to sync every single persons birthday and anniversary into my calendar how the heck to i un-do these facebook calendar events?

Jan 13, 2010Since I have been on holidays to Spain last Christmas (and used plane mode) my HTC hero does not properly sync with google calendar I see on my computer. The appointments I add on my phone do not show up on my computer (browser google calendar). Events that I enter in the browser do show up on my phone. So there is a one way synchrosisation. Sunbird on the computer is no longer able to connect with the google calendar. (It indicates a connection error) I removed the calendar it had and inserterd a new one (with the private ical address you can find in google calendar settings). But the connection error continues.
The calendar in Google desktop is able to connect to the calendar in the browser but also does not show the events I entered in my phone. I have checked and re-checked my phone's settings to see if all the options are checked but all seems ok. All sync options are checked: background / autosync / gmail / calendar / contacts (are synched both ways).
HTC Hero : Google Calendar Sync - Stuck
Sep 8, 2010Google sync has been working fine till my Hero finally updated to all the latest software/firmware last weekend. Since then, it has continually failed to sync Google calendar (mail and contacts are fine) BUT it tries all the time - exhausting the battery every 12 hours in the process! I've seen suggestions to remove the account and re-set it up but it won't let me. Try to delete it and it says "This account is required by some applications. You can only delete it by resetting the phone to factory defaults which deletes all your personal data". It even continues to try and sync when 'Sync calendar' is NOT ticked on the 'data & sync' page! Any suggestions, or do I really need to go back to factory settings?
(& if so, how do I do that?)

Mar 2, 2010I just finished linking most of my phone contacts to their facebook account, and now i want to get all their birthdays into my google calendar, which i thought it did automatically when you linked a google contact to a facebook contact.So was looking for an app to do this and found this one:

The problem is then, that i live in Denmark where google/ HTC? haven't opened for the paying market, so i can only use free apps unless i root my Hero, which i won't.So do you guys know any similar programs that can do this, or a way i can get this app without rooting? Android : Remove Calendar Syncing Facebook Events?
Aug 23, 2010I have unchecked the box for calendar sync for facebook, which it does remove the syncing of the events, but not of peoples birthdays! this is so annoying as i dont want to be reminded of peoples birthdays!
how can i remove all syncing with facebook calendar so not even peoples birthdays are synced to my calendar?
I'm using the default calendar app for the Galaxy S.

Aug 17, 2009My Nokia could synchronise with his easily (and over Bluetooth!). I know there isn't a specific app for Android which will let me do this with the Hero, but wondered if anybody know's of a 'two step approach'. i.e. get Lotus Notes to sync the calender with, say, Google Calender; then get the Hero to sync with google calender.

Oct 18, 2009Is there a way to sync Google calendar and contacts to the phone calendar and contacts?
I deleted all my outlook entries (calendar and contacts) from the phone because it was creating duplicates. Now, I am syncing my Hero with my Lotus Notes calendar at work, as well with my Google calendar. I can see all appointments on my phone. However, I can't see Lotus appointments on my Google account, neither my Google calendar entries on my Lotus Notes.
How can I sync them all? If I import my Google entries into Lotus, it will create duplicates in the Phone and vice-versa.
I don't see any advantages for Google entries to be separated from my other entries. I have one list of contacts and that list should be the same across all programs I use. The same for calendars (actually it is useful to have multiple calendars, as long as no duplicates exists).
That, for me, is the biggest drawback of the HTC Hero. My Moto Q was a lot worse phone than the Hero, but the calendar and contacts sync was much better.

Sep 9, 2010I have my facebook synced with my calendar, now I came from Web OS and if you would confirm to an event, it would show up in your calender, if you would put maybe/not attending, it wouldn't for those pesky 2 month events that people love to make. Now my problem is that I have it synced, and double checked and I am declined for the events and even have the "hide declined events" checked but yet they are still being displayed.
