I've synced my outlook calendar with Samsung Galaxy S Android calendar. However, all my events are half an hour earlier than the actual time.
Does anyone know why this is so, and how to rectify this?

I did a search but cant seem to find an answer. I finally got my work email set up through active sync. Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know if anyone had this issue, but it takes roughly an hour and a half to get 20% of my battery to charge, on the other hand I lose 50% of the battery life in One Hour. Is my battery Done? or is this a 2.1 v3 Leak? I've shut the phone of completely, and charged the phone. It still takes several hours to recharge. Anybody having this bad of battery with the Leak?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just got an EVO and love it. I got an app called 'Audio books' by Traveling Classics. It has thousands of free classic audio books. It works fine, but there's something I don't like- the books come in 30-minute segments. Every half-hour the reader stops reading and gives the company name and some legal info. Are there any audio book apps that don't do this, that read straight through a book without breaks? I want one that has thousands of classic audio books and remembers where I left off in a book. The one I got is free, but I'll be happy to pay for an app that doesn't have those 30-minute breaks.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHad the phone for around 10 days now and thankfully I am starting to get more and more use out of it, especially after tweaking some settings and what not, and over the past 2 days I am closing in on getting 24 hours from one charge with what I consider fairly heavy use (well heavier than what I used my old Pixon and that needed charged daily). The one thing that is bugging me though is this, I put the phone on charge before I go to bed, I wake up and it is around 90% (give or take a few %). Now I realize that the phones doesn't trickle charge but when I check the drain on juiceplotter, at the same time every morning, it drains.
5am-5:30am it goes down 10% or so, with out fail. It loses the charge in around about half an hour, meaning when I get up in the morning I need to pop it back on charge for a bit to get it back up to 100%. Not a huge hassle but it is irking me somewhat now. When I check programs running etc, there is nothing untoward on the go that isn't on during the day. I half though the phone was not sleeping during this time but after 5:30 the drain stops and it goes back to normal.
just got a Motorola Backflip and I have the Facebook android app for it. My Facebook contacts have synced but I have no seen a place or way to sync my Facebook events/calendar with my device calendar. Is there a way to do this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe calender sync feature puts in all future events but no past ones. This happens on both exchange and google calenders. The synch does not eliminate the past events on the exchange server on on my laptop google calender. My blackberry had a setting for this. I can not find a similar setting which allows me to retain the past events on the Droid.
View 7 Replies View RelatedGoogle Calendar on the web shows everything correct BUT, my Droid, even after syncing, shows duplicates of some Events - seems random - and these are not on the web Calendar as duplicates, also shows Events but does not show what they say unless you click on them - no text. I have reverted back to a working older version.
My Google Calendar App syncs google calendar appointments just fine. But "Corporate" accounts, which include my Hotmail and GroupWise calendars, won't sync calendar appointments older than two weeks. Even worse: appointments from older than two weeks ago actually drop off.
On settings, I have it set to sync all. I tried adding and removing accounts. I tried deleting calendar memory/cache. I have even tried returning my Nexus 7. The replacement has the same issue.
A question for owners of this phone. Does the phone show the Global Address List in Exchange? Can I sync my contacts from Outlook and calendar?

It's only doing a one-way sync - events from my Google calendar are syncing to my phone but events created on my phone are not syncing to my calendar.

Now my problem is that I have it synced, and double checked and I am declined for the events and even have the "hide declined events" checked but yet they are still being displayed.

Have successfully imported my old calendar to Google Calendar which initially synced with the calendar on my captivate. However, when I add a new event to my phone calendar, it does not automatically show up on the Google calendar. the Samsung rep told me I have to edit each new even to mark it as a "Google Calendar". Is there any way to make this the default option on the Captivate phone? I am hoping to have automatic syncronization b/t the phone and the Google calendar without having to force it to do so each time.
View 15 Replies View RelatedAnytime I click to add a new event it always defaults to "My Calendar"(phone built in one) as the Calendar it is going to add it too.I have checked my settings and I only have my google calendar checked so it shows all of those events.The "My Calendar" is unchecked too. But it always wants to add it to that one, not google. Any ideas how to change this? Or if not, is there another calendar app you could recommend I use instead of the stock then?This is really annoying that every event I have to change and select Google.I use google calendar for everything, and if I forget once it could cause a lot of problems. Plus, I don't want to think about having to change it manually EVERY EVENT!

A previous thread states you have to choose "google calendar" when generating an event on the calendar on the phone, however, when I try to edit the event, under "Calendar" the setting is "My calendar" but I can't change the setting (tapping on it does nothing)

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm going to ask a SHORTENED version of my question FIRST because, as I was typing out my thorough explanation below, I realized that I had SEEN A SETTING that I believe fixes my problem but I CANNOT REMEMBER where it is or how to get to it!
In short, the problem I am having is that NON-recurring events (one time appointment) that are in the Google Calendar online are NOT SHOWING in the Moment calendar app.
There was a SETTINGS PAGE...not sure if it was in the main OS menu or the Calendar menu...that gave you the option of choosing to show events "BEFORE" a certain date and to show events "AFTER" a certain date. You repeatedly tap the two "before" or "after" options and the dates would move further back in time and further forward in time respectively. NON-recurring events, obviously, continue to show for years prior or in the future but NON-recurring ONE-time events outside of a "range" of a time period do NOT SHOW. Does ANYONE know what the setting I am referring to and how to get back to it?
If NOT, perhaps my more thorough explanation of my problem and what i am trying to accomplish below might help me find the display before this date/after this date setting that I cannot find again!
Though we are new to Android and the gmail sync, I am very comfortable with the sync process and working with Google Calendar online or on the phone and the settings for forcing a sync, choosing which calendars to display, etc.
I did some troubleshooting of the problem and THIS is what I have figured out...WEIRD!!!...here goes:
It appears that the calendar on the Moment is ONLY showing RECURRING EVENTS...birthdays, anniversaries...ANYTHING where the event is set to recur some time in the future.
The non-recurring events...a random party, a random doctor's appointment does NOT show on the Moment Calendar app!
I prefaced my issue with being comfortable and familiar with the Google calendar operation because I am CERTAIN that the events are in the Google Calendar online. If I change the one-time event to a yearly recurring event and force the phone to sync then WHAM BAM the now RECURRING event shows in the Moment calendar app. REMOVE the recurrence and go back to the one-time doctor appointment, sync, and WHOOSH, disappears again!
The other odd thing is that "old" NON-recurring events that have ALREADY PASSED do seem to continue to show on the Moment calendar app for about a month. In other words, stuff back to about a month from today (today 7/20) DOES SHOW even if non-recurring but anything older than a month does NOT show.
Now I can UNDERSTAND why if you had a doctor's appointment on May 20, 2010, that that even should NOT appear on EITHER your Google Calendar online OR your Moment calendar app for May 20, **2011** because that doesn't make sense. HOWEVER, it DOES make sense and IS IMPORTANT to be able to go back to May 2010 and ask, "what day was that appointment with so-and-so company??" and you scroll back in your calendar to see the name of the company or "In February, 2010, did our son or daughter see the doctor?? and you scroll back a few months to see that your son and not your daughter went.
The Google Calendar online does NOT automatically purge older events...they are ALL VISIBLE online back YEARS AND YEARS. Why is the Moment "purging"/not displaying non-recurring events on the phone that are in a range of about 1 month old to about to happen in a month?
