Has anyone else noticed that when you sync "my calendar" with facebook it duplicates birthdays? Sometimes even triples! I removed "my calendar" option in calendar, but now all the birthdays are gone --I want it to show birthdays just not duplicates of them!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my facebook synced with my calendar, now I came from Web OS and if you would confirm to an event, it would show up in your calender, if you would put maybe/not attending, it wouldn't for those pesky 2 month events that people love to make. Now my problem is that I have it synced, and double checked and I am declined for the events and even have the "hide declined events" checked but yet they are still being displayed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid, and my friend just got a Samsung Epic, so I am trying to show him things.He has a google account (not a gmail account, not a google apps - a Google account with his own email address). He wants to sync his contacts and calendar.On my Droid, I go to accounts & sync > add account > Google > enter my address and password.i get offered to sync Calendar and/or Contacts, by clicking on the check box.On his Epic, he adds the account, but there are no options, no check boxes! Is this different somehow? It works fine with his gmail, but not his generic Google account. On my Droid it all works fine and everything is in sync.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI do not have sync birthdays checked under my accounts. The Facebook birthday events have been added to "my calendar" events. I have even done a hard reset.
Seems like a syncing issue. I want to be able to use LPP agenda widget, but I can not customize which calendars to view. This has not happened on my Droid X or Incredible.
Set up a facebook account on my Fascinate to sync contacts and it keeps giving an error trying to sync. It saids Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly. Never does.Anyone else get this or is it just me? Might it be fixed? Anything i can do to make it work?

My old calendar had individual pop ups for each event, the pop up allowed you to open/snooze/ or dismiss each item individually. Also my old calendar had no trouble syncing my gmail and facebook calendars. Android seems to have trouble doing this seemingly simple task. Is there an app or special calendar that can do this?

I purchased my samsung epic a week ago and every since I've been getting the message that my facebook contacts is unable to syn at the moment an error of some sort,and too try later.WTH? My facebook calender syncs but not the contacts.I thought that it was th phone so I took it back to the sprint store they restarted my hard drive but it still didn't work,thy sent me to the repair center at another store and the general manager told me to go back and tell them to replace the phone and that I shouldn't be having issues so soon. Well I did that,they gave me a new phone and guess what.yep u guessed it,still the same issue.I went back to the repair center they played with it for 2 straight hours while I waited impatiently and still I walked away with the same problem. What the heck and I suppose to do now?

View 17 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a new EPIC upgraded in the past week or so from a Samsung Moment.It appears that the stock EPIC calendar app has only ONE alarm/reminder.I have an EVO and use Jorte but the stock calendar app on my EVO and Jorte allow MULTIPLE reminders for a single calendar event (e.g., a 10 minute alarm, a 3 hour alarm and a 1 day alarm).Apart from her installing and using Jorte, does the EPIC stock calendar app have ONLY ONE alarm for a calendar event?

I'd like it to put THEIR birthday on my calendar (if they exist in both my phone book and their facebook profile is linked and synced), however I don't want every single facebook contact to have their freaking birthday on my calendar.

I am a medical student and have a pretty crazy schedule and I have relied on google calendar for several years now to keep my schedule. I was excited to use it on my phone, but my problem is that it is syncing with facebook and uploading all these birthdays. Now, I don't want to sound like a jerk who doesn't care about my friends birthdays but I already check those through facebook - they are cluttering up my calendar and I want them off! I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it stop syncing with facebook and it could just be that I don't know where to go. I have looked under "Settings" within the calendar and haven't found it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI work in IT at my company and support mobile devices and their connection to our exchange server.One of our employees got the Epic 4g and she continues to have issues with ActiveSync not downloading emails right away. For example, this morning she had about 25 emails come in and on her Epic it showed the last email being from yesterday. I tried to manually refresh the email on the phone and it did not download any new emails. I rebooted the phone and it started downloading all her emails. This is not the first time this has happened. This is a normal occurrence for her. It will not download anything for a few hours to a few days then download everything at once.I know it is not an issue on our side as we have about 20 iPhones and about 15 Android devices working fine including my Evo. So far, she is the only one in our company with an Epic however we have about 3 employees that are about to leave their Blackberries and iPhones for the Epic and I have told them to hold of until we resolve this issue.

Have successfully imported my old calendar to Google Calendar which initially synced with the calendar on my captivate. However, when I add a new event to my phone calendar, it does not automatically show up on the Google calendar. the Samsung rep told me I have to edit each new even to mark it as a "Google Calendar". Is there any way to make this the default option on the Captivate phone? I am hoping to have automatic syncronization b/t the phone and the Google calendar without having to force it to do so each time.
View 15 Replies View Relatedi just updated to 2.1 and i imported my gmail contacts but since my facebook account is added to it decided to add facebook contacts..i keep trying to delete my contacts but it says too much even when i delete a couple at a time i keep deleting all of them then i import from my backup contacts on sd and it still brings me my fb ones somehow even though they arent on there Google contact sync doesnt sync anything at all its broken i just want my google contacts synced not my facebook contacts there are soem more random facebook contacts that it wont let me delete in my contacts and they dont show up in all contacts.

A previous thread states you have to choose "google calendar" when generating an event on the calendar on the phone, however, when I try to edit the event, under "Calendar" the setting is "My calendar" but I can't change the setting (tapping on it does nothing)
