Android :: How To Use PdaNet On Macbook?
Apr 25, 2010I'm trying to use my Droid Eris to connect my MacBook to the Internet. I'm plugged in, I turn on PdaNet on my phone, but when I try to connect from the computer end, It gives me the following error message:
"Fail to launch PdaNet background service 2, err=61"
I'm running Snow Leopard, but it did the same thing before I upgraded from OS 10.5.

May 16, 2010I'm able to get the computer to recognize the connection but I'm getting no interwebs connection?I think it may have something to do with the connection type thing.i.e. : Charge only, HTC Sync, Disk Drive.I've tried all of them with no success.Any thoughts?

Nov 2, 2010The app runs in the emulator, the apk in the bin directory runs on my phone. But when I export it it will not run on the phone. There is only a message saying that installation failed, no reason nothing. I thought my installation had gone bad so I tried to export one of my other projects but they still worked fine. The phone will download them but not be able to install, my brother has an Evo with the same hardware and the the same software and his installs the apps. Is anyone else having this problem. Jan 21, 2010My .apk file is confirmed working, however for users of the Motorola Milestone (which runs the same android version 2.0 and up) they receive the error upon attempt to install. I've googled and searched through the other questions here. The error seems to normally only appear if you did something wrong in the signing wizard or renamed the file. Is it possible that some kind of software difference on the OS build on these Milestones is preventing the install?

HTC Eris :: Low On Space Error After New ROM Install?
Aug 12, 2010I recently installed XtrSense ROM on my wifes Eris, and now she came to me today saying that she is getting "Low on space" errors, sure enough I checked, she only has 14mb on internal memory. I checked the amount of apps she has, and it wasn't much more then I had the phone when it was stock, she has like 20 apps in there, and when I had the phone on Stock, I had 30 apps and 100+mb free. So, is it the ROM that is taking up all the space? or the Nandroid backup? If I enabled Apps2SD will that move all apps to the sd card?

Jun 8, 2012I was rooted my SGS i9000(XXJVS) with SuperOneClick 2.3.3 and successfully rooted my phone, but superuser did not been installed, so I installed from Android Market. Then I downloaded ROM manager, and selected "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery". It has been downloaded, allowed superuser permissions, and ROM Manager wrote that it has been downloaded. But if I reboot into recovery mode, I get a message that writes:
Verifying update package... (meanwhile a bar fills up to about 15%)
E:failed to verify whole-filesignature
E:signature verification failed Installation aborted.
And I got a normal recovery mode.What should I do to install CWM? I only clicked "Root" button in SuperOneClick 2.3.3 and I didn't do any wipe data.

Jul 21, 2010Up until today i have had no problems with my Desire, then i tried to sync my phone with HTC Sync and the phone couldn't see the software. done the usual and checked and double checked i had the right settings, also un installed it and re installed from the SD card and it see's it but won't allow apps to be installed from my pc 80004005 is the error i get when clicking on the application installer in HTC Sync. I have tried the updated HTC sync from HTC website and that won't even install to my PC, i get an error when clicking the .exe All this was working fine yesterday and now somethings wrong Any ideas guys?

Oct 18, 2010I`m kind of a noob with android an have messed my phone up , basically had a custom rom running leedroid then sold the phone, so decided to reset it then after resetting, the phone ended up in a boot loop so put it in recovery and tried installing the leedroid rom again but cant get it to install or any other rom need urgent help lol as i need to get this thing sent of the phone was on t-mobile but i got it unlocked can somebody please help . Games like fruit ninja and angry birds will not install on my phone. I have more than enough memory for them and they are downloaded fine, just fail on install. I was in the habit of installing multiple applications from the market before rebooting, but started having problems with the phone not working and getting other error messages so I now try to reboot after each install. I just tired to install and run advance task killer (ATK) twice and after each reboot I'd get at least 2-3 errors. If I uninstall it and reboot all seems to be ok. Same happened with Bloo and an AK-47 app (game).

Nov 27, 2010I just picked up the Incredible today and am enjoying the phone so far. Unfortunatly, when I tried to install the included software I got the following error message:
"Error 2738. Could not access VBScrpit run time for custom action"
I tried to use the support feature on the Verizon Wireless site but the only thing that came up for that error message was a link to an article for Blackberrys.

I followed the directions on that link for the command prompt. When that did not work, I downloaded the software from the Verizon Wireless website again. Unfortunatly I got the same error message again. So either all of their software is corrupted, or something is amiss on my end. I am running Vista 32bit on this machine. I have a Windows 7 laptop I could try, but that is not my primary machine and does not have any of my music on it, so I'd rather get this one fixed.

Feb 22, 2014Lately I have been trying to install a ROM on to my phone, but I cant get the files onto my SD card. Keeps saying, "Cannot copy item. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.". I just rooted the phone about a week ago and figured I would change the ROM. Also tried unblocking the files but got nowhere. Also tried other ROMs, nothing is working. But I can transfer files to and from my SD card with no error.
