Android :: Way To Synch With Macbook Pro?
Jan 4, 2010When I plug the USB into my computer nothing happens. I mean my Hero says USB connected, but it's like the computer doesn't even recognize it. Anyone know why?

Android :: Limit To Number Of Contacts That Can Synch With Gmail?
Jan 7, 2010I have 9,557 Contacts.
It seems as though I cannot add any new contacts from my phone.... I can only add new contacts from the web (Gmail and/or Google Voice).
Is there some Limit to the number of Contacts that can Synch with Gmail?
(I have a Motorola Droid on Verizon.)

Now the other part...Im from Belgium. The htc hero is not launched yet in Belgium because they need to remove the youtube app.
So I went to netherland and bought a htc hero! Hehe...but then I tried to connect to the market...so I tried to connect to my gmail account and I got the same error as the guy above...From the simcard/service etc...
Now I called my provider..he sais my simcard is quite new...so normally their shouldn't be any problem. I don't got data activated yet...but I'm connected true wifi...so that shouldn't be the problem? To be sure I activated the service right now..and waiting to get activated...
Could It be that my htc is blocked because I'm using one from the netherlands in Belgium?because of the situation with the belgium htc's?
HTC EVO 4G :: Synch Google Calendar Without A Computer
Sep 30, 2010How can I synch google calendar to EVO without a computer. I want to upload or (import) an .ICS file to Google Calendar from my EVO. I can download the ics calendar to my evo. when I goto google calendar under my calendars and select import calendar, I get a new window that says import calendar choose file. If you have Astro file manager installed on your phone it will actually let you choose your file I.E. an ICS file which I have located on my SD card. When you choose this file and select import It says "Failed to import events Empty uploaded file." When this exact same action is done on a computer it works flawlessly, what gives i cant carry my computer everywhere and I need to update my google calendar.

...I'd like for when I make a change on my Eris or my PC in Gmail for it to propagate to the OTHER...For example, if I get an email on the Eris regarding a purchase I have made, I would like to give it a label and archive it...and have that change reflected in my online account; and vice-versa.
I know I have gone thru and cleaned up my inbox online, but did not see any of those moves/ deletions (apparently not an issue) / changes reflect on my Eris.
HTC Desire :: Unreliable Synch / Wrong Names On Texts
Jul 1, 2010I have had my HTC Desire for 3 or 4 weeks now and I am determined to like it. I'm stuck with it for 24 months so I have to!! However, synching with my outlook contacts and calendar seems to be a very hit and miss affair. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I am running Vista 32 bit on a Vaio laptop with outlook 2003 (I hope to move to google apps soon but it feels like a big job to do it so i need enough time to work it all out). I downloaded HTC synch from the web but that didn't work so I used the version on my phone and that seemed to work better! I am using HTC Sync, version: 2.0.28. I always start HTC Synch first and then connect the phone. i select the synch option on the phone, but it usually fails to connect at that point. If I then a wait a little, and if I am lucky, it seems to connect itself and the Application installer icon pops up on the HTC Synch screen. then i can try again to synch. And sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This is a lot of messing about - i wish it would just work - is there anything i can do? Also, when i receive texts from kid's school or my bank, the phone seems to assign random names from my contacts list. How weird is that? Any ideas for a cure? I have also found that it can be extremely slow to load videos on youtube. at the weekend i was with someone who had a iphone on the same network in the same place and they had no problem. Grrrrr!! often when it fianlly gets the video and starts to play it it stops halfway through - data is obviously not coming through quickly enough. Is there anything i can do to help this. Finally I am very disappointed that it can't make phone calls as well as my old Nokia 6230. same place, same network, perfect on the old phone, dropping out and bad reception on the HTC. The old phone worked fine in the local supermarket, The HTC simply says NO NETWORK. Have i got a bad phone or is this typical?

Is there some clever poorly documented way to either PRINT the phone's calendar appointments? Or to synch them to another app on the PC, like Outlook, or the main Google Calendar account, so that they can be viewed and printed from the PC as well?
The information from my own Google Calendar shows up on the phone--but the phone's calendar appointments don't show up on except from the phone, where they can't be printed out.

May 30, 2009I am on the verge of upgrading my phone, at the moment I've ditched the idea of a BB Storm because of the terrible feedback and reviews on bad signal and battery life. So I am left with the Magic or the new HTC Touch Pro " out in the next couple of weeks. I'm on Vodafone UK, i will be staying with them as they offer the best of what I need in my area. I use my phone for my business, it needs to sync with my microsoft office to take my contacts and diary with me, it needs to be able to be tethered (either usb or bluetooth) to my macbook so I can use it as a modem as I edit photographs on location and ftp or email them to clients. I do not send enough through my laptop to justify a 3G usb dongle on a separate tariff and Vodafone don't do a pay as you go dongle that will work with a mac (only the contract one works I've had a play with a Magic and it seems nice, I currently have a HTC Tytn 2(tilt) so i would have to get used to using a virtual keyboard with the Magic. The Touch Pro 2 looks sweet BUT it's big. So if the Magic could achieve what I need then it may be the phone for me. SO....my question is, can I use the magic as a modem for my macbook?
