My main clock won't refresh after the phone turns on or comes back on from airplane mode. The widget clock is working just fine, though. Anyone else seeing this and or know how to fix it?

My main HTC weather widget won't stay current. the one under the clock. i can get it to update correctly when i click on it, but on the main screen it just displays old stuff. it's getting really annoying. the only thing that updates it is when i power-cycle my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the product demo for the HTC Hero, as soon as the home screen is shown, the clock animates flipping numbers to the correct time. I've fiddled with a few settings and I can't seem to get that to happen to my clock. Am I missing something or is something turned off?
Also, am I having major troubles switching the weather from Toronto to my current city. I've added the weather for my city and changed my location but when I go into weather and set Hamilton then hit home, it still shows Toronto. What am I missing?
I've had my Hero on Orange for 4 or 5 days now and apart from when I first switched on the phone the weather app has just said "No weather data available" and the clock/weather widget has just had my location. I have the "location by cell" thing switched on, and I did manage to get it working once with the GPS, but other than that it just displays my location. It's the same whatever location I am in. The other cities download the weather just fine (London, Paris, New York, etc.). It's not like I'm somewhere tiny either, I am in Bromley. It doesn't make any difference whether I'm using WiFi or 3G.

View 24 Replies View RelatedEvery time I open up the task killer, I see that Sprint Navigation is always on there. I have gone through all the settings and could not find anything to why it keeps opening.
My GPS and Wireless Networks setting are both OFF
I'm assuming that this is the reason that my battery is dying so quickly.
So I installed Advanced Task Killer so I can kill apps to get my phone to run faster. (Namely Stock SMS because of the non-sleep problem). But after a while, i open up task killer and low and behold.... the apps are open again. Anyone find a fix to this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using NFX 2.2....I enabled, or thought I enabled, apps2sd, my internal memory is still going down. I understand that email uses memory but, my folders are empty. Also, I do not see any of my apps on my sd card, which leads me to believe they are still in the internal memory. Any help or tips would be appreciated. I also tried to enable JIT via the gscript. Maybe I am doing something wrong with gscript. I found the script and saved it, rebooted phone. Please help....

Ok, my phone worked perfectly before I installed 2.1. I did a hard reset before I installed 2.1. It ran fine for about 20 minutes while I played with all the new features (I really like 2.1 when its working) but literally about every 20 minutes when I check my phone, the damn thing is OFF. Its really pissing me off. So I turn it back on, and within 20 minutes its off again. Im about to smash this damn thing. I've reinstalled 2.1 twice, hard reset, soft reset, and every combination of the 3. WTF is the problem!?

Do those deleted e-mails stay in the phone until I delete them from the trash folder? Pardon me for being lazy, but it is a pain to delete them from the inbox and then go to the trash folder and delete them again! Has anyone found a way to permanently delete e-mails from the inbox?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI click on the HTC clock, then the little moon button to put it into bedside mode. From what I recall the clock used to move around the screen to different places but would always remain on.Now after about 15 seconds the screen shuts off and I have to unlock it again. Whereas before the screen would always be on and wherever I would touch it would wake up without having to unlock it again. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

View 21 Replies View RelatedI have had the Hero since it came out, and I am actaully liking it more and more. Android is awesome, and HTC Sense is really cool. My only problem is The digital HTC clock (the white one) that looks like the old fashoined clock with weather under it is extremely laggy. For example I will turn my phone on (awake it) unlock the phone and in the upper right of the phone the time will be correct, say 4:55, then the big HTC clock will say 4:37 (usually the time is the last time since the phone was on) after 2-3 seconds it will adjust to the right time, it happens very often and happens whenever the phone goes from minute to minute. (5:15 in upper right, 5:14 on HTC clock) I have read threads about the clock being an hour off but mine is the right time and hours it is just laggy. Also it is not rooted, and when sprint sent the over the air update I downloaded that and it is still laggy and was before that. Is anyone else having this problem? turning it on and off does nothing at all, and I had to do a hard reset about 3 weeks ago and that didnt't help either.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI read that the flip clock is a battery drainer, so I figured I'd switch it out. I like the HTC weather, but I sorta want a digital clock.
HTC's alarm settings etc. are great, I'd like to keep those setting as the clocks that are on the market I'm guessing won't have as many features if they're free.
But can I swap my HTC clock widget yet still have HTC run my alarm? I'm not really sure if I can do this or not, but I didn't want to download/install a clock over the stock one and need to get it back, so I was wondering if anyone had done this before.
I like to power the phone down completely at night. Problem is the alarm will not work unless in standby mode, and I use my phone as my alarm.

View 9 Replies View RelatedBeen trying hard since sunday to figure out how to add custom alarms to the alarm clock. I just miss alot of my alarms and want to be able to continue to use them on the Hero. so far everything I have tried does not work. I even created a "Media" folder with 3 sub folders "Alarms", "notifications", "Ringtones" even by placing them in these folders still nothing. I have been able to use the media player to add my music as a ringtone, however the music I have placed in the ringtone folder does not show up either in my phone.
