Why won't my wi-fi stay connected after about 5 minutes of the screen being locked? It will come back only after I go into the settings and just look at it, don't have to select anything.
View 3 Replies View Relatedso im running fresh 2.1 and i LOVE IT. i see official 2.1 came out. should i unroot and get the official update or just stay with fresh ?
View 24 Replies View RelatedEvery time I open up the task killer, I see that Sprint Navigation is always on there. I have gone through all the settings and could not find anything to why it keeps opening.
My GPS and Wireless Networks setting are both OFF
I'm assuming that this is the reason that my battery is dying so quickly.
So I installed Advanced Task Killer so I can kill apps to get my phone to run faster. (Namely Stock SMS because of the non-sleep problem). But after a while, i open up task killer and low and behold.... the apps are open again. Anyone find a fix to this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using NFX 2.2....I enabled, or thought I enabled, apps2sd, my internal memory is still going down. I understand that email uses memory but, my folders are empty. Also, I do not see any of my apps on my sd card, which leads me to believe they are still in the internal memory. Any help or tips would be appreciated. I also tried to enable JIT via the gscript. Maybe I am doing something wrong with gscript. I found the script and saved it, rebooted phone. Please help....
View 2 Replies View Relatedhas anyone rooted and used the hero without flashing a rom? even for a little while? my main question is: did or can anything go wrong with a rooted -only- phone? if i cant get the update anywhere ill finally root to delete the useless sprint apps but im happy with the OS as is so im not interested in the risks that may be involved with flashing. thank you for your patience as im new to android.

View 23 Replies View RelatedOk, my phone worked perfectly before I installed 2.1. I did a hard reset before I installed 2.1. It ran fine for about 20 minutes while I played with all the new features (I really like 2.1 when its working) but literally about every 20 minutes when I check my phone, the damn thing is OFF. Its really pissing me off. So I turn it back on, and within 20 minutes its off again. Im about to smash this damn thing. I've reinstalled 2.1 twice, hard reset, soft reset, and every combination of the 3. WTF is the problem!?

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy hero downloads my POP3 e-mails. I'm using the standard mail app. I read them on the phone and delete them. Do those deleted e-mails stay in the phone until I delete them from the trash folder? Pardon me for being lazy, but it is a pain to delete them from the inbox and then go to the trash folder and delete them again! Has anyone found a way to permanently delete e-mails from the inbox?

View 8 Replies View RelatedThere's been a lot of comparison between the stock Hero and Moment but I was wondering if anyone has played with both a rooted Hero and Moment. Becoming more and more set on switching over to the Hero.Rooted & got CL14 on my Moment last night thanks to zefie, numus, and the great guys at sdx, but maybe I just had my expectations too high as I didn't see a large improvement over the stock kernel & ROM, esp in speed (did fix the battery meter and improved battery life thank god!).I understand rooting a Hero makes it faster but by how much? How does it compare to a rooted Moment running a home replacement app (like PandaHome)? This way I feel it's comparing apples to apples in terms of experience, as opposed to compared to a rooted Moment running stock home.Ever since I got the Moment, I've been trying to get Sense-like stuff on it (like a lot of ppl haha). Coming from the less-sophisticated BB Curve, I was surprised when stock Android didn't support things like Facebook integration (I know it's coming in 2.1, but HTC has it now).
View 11 Replies View RelatedIm sure it is posted somewhere, but I just can't seem to find it.How does one go about uninstalling Sprint bloatware on a rooted phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI asked this in another thread and it got buried in other questions. Just want Google navigation really but assumed all this work on Roms was to utilize new Android source and not just uninstalling stock apps
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to use Fresh 2.3.3s phone and contacts portion and replace the darchdroid 2.7's default phone and contacts. How does one do this? Is it simple or buggy and difficult? I've made a nandbackup, i am ready to experiment.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIf there is some place you cans simply see a list of ROMS for rooted Heros? Roughly how many are there? Is there an easy way to see what each is known for so you can narrow down what will be right for each person?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAre there any 100% stable and functional overclocked ROMs out now? When I say stable and functional I mean no phone app crashes on incoming calls and multimedia messaging works as well. I loved how fast and stable Fresh1.1 was, but all the OC'd 2.1 ROM's I've tried have at least a few problems.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI flashed this at least 3x. I did a clean wipe and all that jazz.
- The market wont let me search
- A LOT of my roms dont seem to be compatible
- The htc battery widget doesnt work
- When i download a widget it doesnt show up in the list.
- The "download more htc widgets" button doesnt work
- Refuses to check for update
i have searched, for list of decent roms for sprint hero w google cdma, ive found older posts but not very informative, want something to speed it up, function a little better mainly just wanna mess with my phone till i find something better. if there is a list of good ones out at the moment, pics would be helpfull also, and links to were to get them.
View 9 Replies View RelatedNo matter what 2.1 rom I load, I can make/receive calls ok for a few minutes.... then suddenly I cannot hear anything - no matter if I am making the call, or receiving the call. Have to reboot in order to get it to work. AFter rebooting, same thing. Everything works for a few calls, then I cannot hear anything. Anyone else experiencing this? I tried loading the Fresh audio fix, but it did not fix.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have my Hero rooted with Fresh 1.1. I love it, but I have a few questions for the future.
1- I recently switched from a PC to a Mac. If I want to switch ROM's or go back to stock, can I do this on a mac? Or do I have to use a Windows pc?
2- I was interested in switching from Fresh 1.1 to Fresh 2.0c, but I'm a bit confused. Do I have to go back to stock, then root and flash 2.0c? Or can I flash it on top of 1.1?
Made this video to show a friend what this custom ROM was all about, figured i could share it with those that might be interested. Really shows off its speed and style. YouTube - HTC Hero ROOTED Fresh 1.1 ROM
View 48 Replies View RelatedAbout two days ago the DamageControl2.0r ROM started giving me the WiFi issues, and where I am with no EVDO or even E network. I rely on the WiFi at work and home, and wherever else I may need it. So I attempted to flash back to Fresh2.0c using the wipe/reboot and all the normal steps. Well it kept booting back to the Damage Control ROM. Someone suggested I use Nanroid backup then tried reflashing the rom. Which ended up working. Well I then decided I wanted to try the New Kitchen, because I love tinkering with this stuff, and it wouldn't flash again. I had to use Nandroid backup to go back to Fresh2.0c and have it working properly. Is there something I could be missing completely?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust a few questions on flashing a new radio on a Sprint Hero, as I'd like to be sure I won't brick my phone and there really don't seem to be many guides on this.
Are certain radios only compatible with certain ROMs? If so, what do you do if you want to flash a new ROM afterwards? In the event a radio flash fails, can you attempt to flash a different one or is your phone pretty much bricked at that point?
I'll probably have more questions later, as the thought of bricking my new Hero is well, I'd really rather not have to go back to my old BlackBerry.
might be a dumb question, but I don't wanna do the fw update on my fresh 2.1.2 hero, if it's going to break root. I'm guessing not but want to be sure.
