My main HTC weather widget won't stay current. the one under the clock. i can get it to update correctly when i click on it, but on the main screen it just displays old stuff. it's getting really annoying. the only thing that updates it is when i power-cycle my phone.

My main clock won't refresh after the phone turns on or comes back on from airplane mode. The widget clock is working just fine, though. Anyone else seeing this and or know how to fix it?
View 23 Replies View RelatedI've had my Hero on Orange for 4 or 5 days now and apart from when I first switched on the phone the weather app has just said "No weather data available" and the clock/weather widget has just had my location. I have the "location by cell" thing switched on, and I did manage to get it working once with the GPS, but other than that it just displays my location. It's the same whatever location I am in. The other cities download the weather just fine (London, Paris, New York, etc.). It's not like I'm somewhere tiny either, I am in Bromley. It doesn't make any difference whether I'm using WiFi or 3G.

Why the weather is disappearing on the clock widget? Sometimes I have to sync it to come back on the home screen. When the weather disappears I still have a internet connection. I noticed it today that I was having this problem. I contacted Sprint just to get this notated on my account. I read this on the forum before but I can't find it. How can I stop this from happening?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I installed DamageControl v2.08.1 on my cdma Hero the calendar and date are 24 hours off! Time is correct but it's the next day. When I did a back up of this install it even used the wrong date on the backup. I have a bunch of small issues that I think with patience I may be able to work around but this clock/date thing has me puzzled. Also has anyone figured out how to put a custom city in for the weather widget and not one of the ones listed but for example a small town (any town) some where in the USA? I could do this on my 1.5 but this weather widget acts like the clock and you can only use their listed cities.

I'm having a problem with the clock/weather widget on my Hero. I have it set to Current City and I noticed the other day that the weather wasn't updating. ( I live in Long Beach, CA) It was stuck on one weather. I especially noticed when it still said partly sunny at 11pm. It doesn't work even if i try to manually update.
I thought it was just the current city function that was having trouble registering but when I go to other cities nearby it updates fine. And when I specifically set it to Long Beach, CA, it was still stuck and not updating.
Anyone else having this problem? Is there something wrong with the weather equipment in Long Beach?
i'm beginning to think that in 2.2, if you have a lower signal strength (such as i do in my house), it can't tell your location anymore. in my house, wiht 2.1, it always told me my town. now, with 2.2, it says, fro the most part with a lower signal, "current location." however, when i turn wifi on, it'll tell me my town right away, leading me to believe that since my wifi signal is great in my house, it's giving me the correct location.

It just shows a blank, no weather. Whenever I turn off the Task Panel X, it stops messing. Does anyone know how to make Task Panel X not stop the weather on the clock app? Everything about the app works fine except this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI tap weather icon, get current location no city name and the weather info, I then tap "+" hit my location and it finds my city Corning NY, I add this to the weather app, I close out and hit weather app again and now I have to locations, the one that says current location and the one that says Corning NY, both weather datas are the same. My question is how to I delete or get rid of the current location weather data screen and have only the Corning NY screen when I open the weather app? The data for both is the same but I don't want 2 locations(one named) for the same data.

I know you can customize and add pages of icons but can any of those become the default page your phone powers up to? View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Hero rebooted itself when i cut it off and cut it back on due to aggravation of lag. after spending half the day fooling with getting back some apps, my contacts from google and the whole issue with syncing facebook to my contacts. i thought i could easily just look up my city for the weather widget location.
Well before the reboot my weather showed just fine, my location and everything. now my city isn't even in the data base and my gps and such is turned on. some of the directions ive read on using the gps to find my location has become a headache because i don't think i have those features.
When i go into my weather settings and click the + sign it goes straight to search location. i type in the name of my city and it doesn't come up.
I have recently bought an HTC Hero and updated it with the new ROM. One of the reasons I bought it is to be able to get stock prices on the move. I do have the following problem. The stocks and weather widgets only update themselves using a WiFi connection and not my 2g/3g network. I don't think is a network problem or a GPRS settings problem as I am able to receive my emails and also connect to the internet using 2g/3g. There must be a problem with the widgets.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had deleted the flip clock b/c the weather refused to update. I went back and put it back on and the weather does not show up on the widget now. I have to open up a seperate weather widget on the screen. I've played around with the settings and haven't found a way to remerge the two. I called HTC directly and the rep I spoke with was dumbfounded. Had no idea what was wrong and told me that the only way I could fix this is to do a full system restore. I would prefer not to do that so if anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appriciate it. so it seems that the problem lies when I select "use current city" for the city I want. I choose one of the many cities listed that I don't live in, it works fine. How do I get it to recognize the city I live in?
