Would any know if its possible, and if so how, to move all my contacts from my old cell phone to my Galaxy? Could I connect them both with Bluetooth to transfer that way?

I'm trying to transfer pictures/videos from my phone to the computer via bluetooth. Everything is connected and I have had no problem sending files from the computer the phone, but everytime I try to send from the phone to the computer it says "unable to connect to remote device"anyone have any suggestions? this happens with pictures, videos and music files. I can't transfer anything to the computer.

View 2 Replies View Relatedthe phone is unable to connect to Bluetooth on the laptop. it's paired but still refuses to connect. also the phone is also not shown as a modem on the device manager. Any idea where I can find modem drivers for the phone. I tried NPS and KIES but they both fail to find the device and do not install the modem drivers.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwell , finally made the switch and got an android phone , very happy with my galaxy s, apart from 1 major issue i can't get my phonebook/contacts to sync with my in car bluetooth system. I can make and receive calls faultlessly , but definately have to be able to access my contacts hands free. every time i try to re-pair it it offers an option to share contacts, but does not work once paired .Can anyone more technically savvy than myself offer any ideas / help , unless i can get this to work the phone will have to go back

After searching it seems Android only uses bluetooth for headsets. Does anybody know how to make this work via bluetooth or have any other solution for me?

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust a bit of a weird happening, when I got the phone out of the box I transferred all the contacts over via Bluetooth with no issue. I have since updated Android 1.6 and again repaired that update and lost all the contacts. Now when I try to Bluetooth them over I just get all the names and no numbers.
Is there anyway I can fix this? I tried getting all the contacts onto the sim card, but no luck.

I'm having a major issue connecting to a Bluetooth headset using my Galaxy Tab 2.
I've tried various workarounds including reseting the devices, removing all paired devices, making sure Visibility is on and etc. Just can't pair this phone with my headset.
The headset pairs successfully with other devices (iPad, iPhone) but it's a dead end with the Galaxy.
Workarounds? Apps to bypass the system pairing?
Reading through Google results and other forums, the Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy SII are both plagued with Bluetooth pairing issues so clearly there's something wrong with this device.

I just got a replacement yesterday for my phone since my old one would not connect to GPS. All was fine, I rooted and installed Radioactive FroYo 1.8.9 (or what ever the newest is) plug my phone in at 11pm, wake up at 8am and my phone wasn't fully charged. I unplugged it and checked my email which only took a minute and it dropped to about 50%. WTF I thought, so I plug it into my laptop and it detected it, then I unplugged it, then I plugged it in again and nothing happened, wiggled the cord around and it would go in and out of being connected to the computer. So this phone has a bad USB or something, which would explain why a couple times last night I heard the single chime coming from my phone. So now I have to reflash my phone and have Sprint order me another phone.

So, this happened suddenly. I was able to get my Nexus 7 connected via bluetooth to my Galaxy S3. Now, it just won't. It'll get on the paired devices list, but won't connect.

View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen my car bluetooth downloads the phonebook from my captivate, it downloads some contacts, but doesn't download the ones from my exchange server. They show up fine in the contacts app, but the car doesn't receive them. I thought it might be an issue with the way they were put into the contacts, so I undid the built in android exchange account, deleted the contacts, then installed touchdown and populated it that way. Still no joy. I thought that originally it was downloading them correctly (using the built in exchange sync) but either stopped working correctly, or never was and I just now noticed it.

I can make and receive calls via hands-free car kit but only part of my phone book contacts transferred to the car (only contacts from A to N in my case) When I deleted on the phone all contacts from letter N, contacts from letter M appeared on the car display. I called T-Mobile and Samsung - no help. Support from Samsung told me to find at android market Bluetooth Profile for Phone book Access but I can't find it. If anybody have the same problem or have a knowledge how to fix it.

Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
I have a samsung galaxy s4 and i need to get some files off it, saved photos, possibly contacts etc. however, i smashed the screen and digitiser pretty good so there is no touch recognition. the phone itself is recognised on my macbook however i stupidly made it to be recognised in photo capture not MTP. How to simply send all my data across directly from my phone to the laptop. I also dont have a spare samsung lying about for the motherboard switch.
