View 2 RepliesI am having is when I try to send a picture through picture message I get an error saying message size limit reached, you cannot attach this to your message. So in order to send a picture this way do I have to either:
a. change my camera settings to lower resolution?
b. is there a program or setting to automatically send a smaller image and keep my high res photo?
Obviously I would prefer option B as this camera rocks and takes some good pics.
I use Handcent for my SMS text app. I have about 6k texts on my phone now. Haven't deleted any since 2.1 came out and I needed to format. Sometimes my phone CRAWLS when receiving or sending a text. I mean it'll take 2-3 minutes just to send or receive a text. Handcent will hang for that long. When I power down the phone it usually improves responsiveness in Handcent but I'm wondering if I should delete the threads? Will I notice an improvement in text speed? I have no idea how much space a text message uses but I'm also wondering if I'm wasting internal memory space too. I don't have many picture messages. They are mostly just text messages.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried rooting using both the Regaw method and using the writeup from CCapasso. Using the Regaw method after Step 3 I get the error msg "cannot stat 'unrevoked': No such file or directory. Using the CCappasso method after Step 6 I get the msg: [1]killed/data/local/asroot2/system/bin/sh.
I have downloaded the files and have them in C: drive
I have turned on debugging
I have unmounted the SD card
I have installed HTC Sync
I have phone on "charge only" when hooked to the computer
1. How can I delete an entire string of text messages in one fell swoop? I can delete them one at a time, but I just had to delete 44 text messages (an entire conversation between me and a friend) and I'd really like to know how to do this in bulk! (I am using Handcent SMS).
2. I can get the default ringtone to change, but I cannot figure out how to make each contact have its own ringtone. The manual says to go to the contact itself and then select "information" and then "ringtone," however, I cannot select these parts. They are grayed out. How to do this?!?!
3. I want the text alerts to only give off a sound, NOT a vibration and a sound. I went into the tools for Handcent and clicked the "vibrate only when device is set to vibrate mode" but it still vibrates. How can I make this work?
4. Is there a "help" section on the phone itself? Something I can search on the phone itself when I get stumped like this?
this is starting to piss me off, I have over 10K messages, and it will not let me delete them? I have been reading the only way to get rid of them is by resetting the phone to factory default? Is there anyway to back up all the stuff I purchased or am I hosed? Is there an app that will delete them all at once, I do not care if I lose all my SMS msgs, but I really do not wish to reset the phone?

I searched for this in pretty much every category and I haven't found a solution. There are times when I receive an email or text on my phone that I want to save it. I've been through many menus and I can't seem to find out how to do it, if it's possible on this device (fingers crossed).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI checked a similar thread but wasn't satisfied with the answers there. I just bought a Moment with 2.1 loaded. I'd like to know if the contacts program or the texting app that came loaded on the phone have a way to send text messages to groups.(Maybe this is a Google question.) I'm using Gmail contacts, which load into the phone fine, but I can't locate (in the phone) the groups I've set up. (As if they don't survive the sync). So the only way to send txt to multiple recipients is to enter each manually. Can get tedious for large lists.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm still new to Sprint.. I used to be a Verizon guy for 8 years. And I'm used to send and receive pictures with the original resolution they were taken. But I've notice that Everytime I get a Pic msg with my moment they're ridiculously resized. Same thing happens if I send one they get a crappy sized pic.
Is there a way around it?
Is it sprint?
Or is it Android?
