Sprint HTC Hero :: Outlook - Automatically Delete Stuff As Delete Stuff On The Exchange Server

Jan 15, 2010

I connect to my works Exchange server using EAS (I think, it was the default) and it syncs with my mail automagically as stuff comes in. I'd really like to find a way to automatically delete stuff on the Hero as I delete stuff on the exchange server. Is there a way to do this without involving another program?

General :: Outlook Calendar Message Invite Missing Date / Time On Droid Mail

Nov 14, 2011

I switched recently from a black berry to an Android 2.3 powered device - Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon.

Email invite messages from Outlook for meetings do not show the calendar detail. Specifically, I can not see the date and time of the meeting invitations. I can perform actions to "Accept", "Decline", or Tentative" the meeting invitation. Unfortunately, there isn't any meeting detail so I don't know when the meeting is scheduled.

This is very frustrating and makes the Samsung Stratosphere or possibly the Android platform not fit for corporate environments. If I can not get this to work I will be switching to an iPhone and I will recommend to my entire corporate enterprise that we avoid Android based Smart Devices.

The Black Berry BEZ environment also provided information on meeting conflicts when you are sent a meeting invitation.

Android :: How To Delete Single Message Of A Conversation?

Oct 13, 2010

I dislike G Mail because of the threading and it is SLOW but it would appear to be the only email client on android that can forward html so I'm stuck with it. How in the world do you delete an individual message of a conversation without deleting the entire conversation? When I expand a conversation, the messages have reply, reply all and forward at the bottom of the message but no delete. The delete button at the bottom of the screen (between archive and older) only wants to delete the whole conversation. What am I missing?

HTC Incredible :: Unable To Delete Email Message

Nov 24, 2010

I've been enjoying my Incredible since launch.Today I got a "SoAndSo is now following you on Twitter" message, and I can't delete it.If I long-press the message in my inbox and select "Delete" from the menu, I get a "The Application Mail (process...) "Force Close" message and I have to restart mail. This error and behavior is repeatable. If I select "Menu -> Delete" from the in-box, the message dissappears, and is not available to "select" for deletion. If I try and just select the message to read it, the screen quickly flashes as though it were about to open the message, but immediately returns to the inbox screen. If I get a new message, I am able to delete it with no problem. It seems to be specific to only this message.

Android :: How To Delete Message And Phone Call?

Nov 8, 2008

I was goofing around my phone and i found out how to delete a message and a call with out deleting all of it like when you go to call log and click clear it removes every call or in your message t removes the whole thing instead of just one. well to delete only one call number go to the number and click & hold it until a little window pops up and it will give you a menu for that number go to the last one remove call this will only delete that one call. same thing works for the SMS message just open up the conversation you were having with the person and click and hold the part you want to delete and and a menu pops up and click delete. Hope this helped out the people that didn't know about this.

Dec 23, 2011

i switched from a BB (6 years on and off) to an android device (SGS2 LTE on Rogers)and i have some things i would like to ask to make easier ; >

1) Why doesn't Gmail give you a count of how many new message there are? how do i get this option?

2) is there a mark all read option in (gmail, yahoo mail, facebook,)

3) is there a delete message option in Facebook?

4) is there a sound profiles setting or a good app out there that can set different sound profiles for different situations (i.e. work, home, silent, vibrate etc) found an app just now called simple profiles.. seems to work okay..

5) SGS2 doesn't have LED, but it's not a question ; >

6) how do you get more then one gmail, yahoo icon for different acconts and label them instead of it saying "Gmail" or "Yahoo".

7) how do i see comments that were posted to pictures in facebook? when i get a notification that i have a comment i click on the alert and it just takes me to the picture.. i cannot see the comments anywhere..

a bit of a learning curve as u can see, and going from a physical QWERTY to a touch screen is difficult. Got some ROMs installed and definitely more apps, but pretty much similar to what i had on my BB...

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Forward Text And Delete Draft Message?

Sep 21, 2010

My Xperia now 8 days old. Its an upgrade from 3. Its proving to be the worse phone I have ever had!! The battery life is terrible, fully charged yet went off half way through my shift? What I am have been having major problems with and cant figure it out for the life of me is how to forward a text and delete a draft message? I just cant figure it out! Forward a message? how do I access the names or the phonebook? theres always only the contact that sent me the text in the first place or one i use frequently. and i have a draft i cant get rid of unless i send the **** thing. this phone is so frustrating to me because texting and facebook are my main objectives when purchasing a phone. facebook: when i tap on notifications it tells me constantly there is an error. now i told the salesman in the shop what the main uses of my mobile are and so far I am extremely disappointed with this mobile phone, i have been mis-sold! Can someone please put me out my misery so I can appreciate this little phone a bit more!

HTC Hero :: Sync Outlook Contacts

Mar 6, 2010

I'm using HTC Sync to sync my Outlook contacts to my Hero... The contacts sync as expected but everytime I perform the sync the time on my Hero is set 30mins forward which would correspond with the time in the eastern states of Australia. I've checked the timezones on my PC & Hero and they are set correctly. I've scoured the net for fixes but haven't found a fix for this annoying issue. I did discover that in a previous version of HTC Sync you could set the timezone within HTC Sync during the installation if it detected a mismatch, but I wasn't presented with the option to set it to get it's time from the PC...

HTC Hero :: Outlook Syncing With Google

Mar 6, 2010

I've come to see the light and made the move last weekend away from windows mobile to the Hero...now I'm ready to embrace the cloud.I use Outlook at home which was straight forward to keep in sync on my windows mobile device.I'm keen to keep using Outlook so my goal is to sync my calendar, contacts and tasks with my google apps account which would then be accessible to the Hero. After countless hours research and testing I settled on the following setup:

- Home PC sync's outlook calendar to google calendar via googles calendar sync which is then linked to my Hero;

- Home PC sync's outlook contacts to my Hero via HTC Sync.

I haven't devised a method for tasks yet and as for notes I prefer to keep them in outlook only. This setup has its limitations as HTC Sync sets the contacts to type "phone" which means they don't get uploaded to google. Furthermore, I've discovered that Google in their wisdom automatically creates contacts on your behalf based on people you email and this feature to my knowledge cannot be deactivated...so I'm questioning the merrits of putting my contacts into google if I'm going to be bring down contacts I never created.I'm keen to hear from others who use outlook and no doubt have more andriod/google experience to get a feel for how they sync up.
