I don't use weather on the phone and was just wondering if anyone has deleted the stock weather program. I am running fresh1.1 and surprized that he didn't remove the app because all the other crap is gone...

I am running fresh1.1 and wanted the stock taskbar. So I flashed a stock them over it then a rosie from fresh1.1 to get the launcher back. got eveything I want except the lockscreen fresh came with. I found 2. One on xda but the link is broken. The 2nd from the geekforme site but it puts the taskbar back to the fresh one. Any one know where i can get one that doesn't do that?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tap weather icon, get current location no city name and the weather info, I then tap "+" hit my location and it finds my city Corning NY, I add this to the weather app, I close out and hit weather app again and now I have to locations, the one that says current location and the one that says Corning NY, both weather datas are the same. My question is how to I delete or get rid of the current location weather data screen and have only the Corning NY screen when I open the weather app? The data for both is the same but I don't want 2 locations(one named) for the same data.

I'd really like to find a way to automatically delete stuff on the Hero as I delete stuff on the exchange server. Is there a way to do this without involving another program?

After I tune in to a station that I like and leave my phone, I will notice that my music has stopped playing. But, (sometimes) when I come back to my phone, the music will start back up. Then again, more times than none, when I come back to the phone, the program has stopped responding and I will have to restart the entire program.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI installed Handcent because of the battery drain issue, and like it a lot, but now I cannot turn off the OEM Messages program. I tried going into the Settings>Applications>Manage Applications to turn it off, and it doesn't work. I also did the "Use Handcent as default SMS" when that box first pops up. I get two different ringtone notifications too. Although I switched the ringer to the same one both through the phone's settings and through Handcent's settings.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone using Genie.apk (News and Weather Widget)? I installed the widget for "Weather" and it has been working well, until yesterday. It just says "Sorry, unable to connect, Please try later." And there is a "Retry Now" Button. Pressing retry says "loading" but then returns the same message. I have deleted and reinstalled the widget with the same results. Hopefuly it is just a server issue, and will be fixed shortly.

On my old WinMo phone, there was a way to expand the database of cities by modifying some Manila files. Is there a similar course of action for Android phones? Did i do something wrong? is tethering required after rooting to maintain network access? my texts and calls come through ok. i honestly don't remember if i received my daily agenda via e-mail or not today.
now, when you press a date on the calendar, instead of a list of times of the day to imput event, you see event (if one is scheduled), Add event at top, and a weather widget for the specified day at the bottom. seems to be a week's worth of forecasts.that's all i've found so far, not bad for an incremental update

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have it set up update hourly, and it will show it to be sunny, even until 8PM sometimes 9PM.It's not exactly sunny at that time of day, I'd more expect to see the moon by that time of evening.Is this just weird, or is it just using the "official" sunset time of 8 something and calling it sunny until then?
