Are there any emails apps that we can use to replace the stock one? I would like to be able to filter emails but I just don't like the look or feel of the stock one.

Now that the update is out how do we switch back to the stock message notifications? I have deleted the other app but when I get a text message my phone no longer alerts me.

I have chompSMS as my txt app. I took a look at the pre-kitchen, but I use a mac so wanted to see if there are any other alternatives.
View 17 Replies View RelatedOK I've been running the nightlys and they have been running fine except for the small issue that the native email app included in the ROM(s) never works. I'm trying to use my yahoo email account and when I open the app enter in my email and password I first get a prompt with: "Attention! Mailbox access is not supported for some types of Yahoo! mail accounts etc..."
Then I press OK and then get the initializing screen for "checking incoming server settings" then get a Could not finish prompt error stating that my user name or password is incorrect (which I know is correct and have tried numberous times)
I'm stuck using the lame Yahoo Mail app from the market at the moment, does anyone have a fix for this? Am I the only one experiencing it?
After rooting my Hero the night it came out, I noticed that I'm having connectivity issues. Weather won't update, can't check email, can't access facebook, etc. How to put my phone back to normal?

I am not talking about flashing the ROM but rather stopping Sense and loading the normal UI. I am not having any real problems with the Sense UI per se but from playing with other Android devices I think I prefer the normal interface.
View 21 Replies View RelatedHas anyone tried the BH2 stock email app on BH_Man's Galaxy 1.6 ROM? I'm curious if it works because it synced so well to my work email, while the Galaxy stock email does not. I'm willing to try it out if anyone has the apk. I forgot to grab it before I flashed the rom and I don't want to have to re-flash to TouchWiz, grab it, and re-flash back to 1.6, especially if doesn't even work.
Also, if anyone's interested, here's a link to an Exchange email app that I got to work on the 1.6 rom, but it's not as feature rich. Exchange ActiveSync on your G1! | Nexeo.net. Pre-apologies if anyone has a problem with providing a system apk. But I did pay like $250 for this phone. Please just PM me then.

I try pressing "back" and it exits the program. I also tried seeing what I can do when I press the settings button (first left button).

However, when you open the trash folder, there is nothing there (I regularly delete my emails from it). Why this is happening and how to correct it?

I have two exchange accounts configured in the EMAIL application. When I view the unified inbox and compose a new email, I am unable to select the non-default FROM address (clicking the FROM address does nothing). In order to send an email from the non-default, I have to enter the inbox for that account THEN compose a new email - requires several more clicks than necessary.
I have asked several friends and some say they do have this option - however they are all on carrier customized roms.
I am running Liquid sense 2.1 and attempted to download and install the signed sprint visual voicemail apk from xda but it errors out on install.I may be installing the wrong one perhaps?I just want the basic VM functionality of the stock sprint program.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI want to replace CM10 clock with one from CM10.1. I have the .apk, and it works when I install it (replaces the CM10's app), but when I reboot the phone it goes back to CM10 clock.
How to permanently install it?
When I receive a picture in the stock message application it is received as a slideshow. When I click to view, it opens and then after a couple of seconds it closes. Is there anyway of keeping the picture open for longer, other than saving and opening seperately?

Actually I am trying to replace systemui of its (stock rom) to another systemui (custom rom)
but i failed every time.. method which was i followed.
1.replacing system UI (system/app) and changed permition.(worked with other app like file maneger).
2. flashable zip.. (worked with other app)
result - system UI not installed..
I have used Handcent for months now, but continued to experience lag when typing in landscape mode. But for some wierd reason, I chose to use the stock SMS the other day, and realized the lag was greatly reduced. Now, has anyone else experience this also?by the way, I am using Better Keyboard rather then using the stock keyboard.Besides the landscape typing lag, Handcent was a cool SMS App. I liked it a lot more than ChompSMS.
