In the last hour I have noticed that I can no longer delete app shortcuts from Home Screens. If I click and hold on the icon, after a secon, it opens the app when it use to allow me to drag it into trash... any ideas ?

When I long press to delete widgets or shortcuts, they open instead of giving me the option to delete. Has any one else seen this? I'm on stock
View 16 Replies View RelatedI know how to remove widgets... you long press on them to move them/delete them. My problem is this: I don't know how to remove regular icons on the Hero. On the Moment, everything was simply long press to remove. On this, long pressing the application icons on my home screen(s) just opens the associated programs. I kind of wanted to move them around, I don't wanna have to delete a scene everytime I want to move one icon around.
In short: How do you move/delete application icons from the home screens? (long pressing doesn't work for me)
How do you delete the widgets/shortcuts on the seven home screens. I accidentally put something on the same home screen twice and want to delete one of them. And how do you order them how you want them to be?
Then, how do I sync my iTunes library to the phone?
So I removed a widget and then went back to put it back on and got the msg there wasn't room. I played around a bit moving and removing items to make room. I learned that while there doesn't seem to be room for the widget, there is room for the "program" for the same app/function.So now I'm wondering, what is the difference between these three?Will one result in more or less battery drain? Is the widget quicker to launch it's program equivalent?Should I avoid placing one type on the home page?

I've been playing around with the App Organizer, and been putting things into folders. However, I am trying to do a few things.
Add shortcuts into the groups App Organizer creates, and/or create custom icons for Folders I put on the Home pages.
For example, I have 6 mail accounts (don't ask) and want to put them in a group called mail. Using AppOrganizer, I can only organizer the main mail icon into the group, I want to add the 5 other shortcuts I created for each account. OR I group them into a folder, but I want to change the folder icon to an envelope.
Also, anyone know any good apps that puts email notifications on the top taskbar?

This is a real pain trying to look in different places for a name to call. Is there a setting that I can change to stop this? I haven't found anything so far.

I loaded Fresh 2.0D and now thew app is no longer available in the market. Bourne to Blog: Negotiating with your Mobile Phone Carrier. I wanted to upgrade to an Android phone, but this would require a "data plan". Some time ago, I was told that since I wanted to keep my plan, I could add unlimited data for an additional $30/month and keep the plan. However, about a month ago, I emailed customer service wanting to do this with the Android phone. They told me can't do this with the Android phone, you'll have to switch to data plan (essentially losing my plan).
So, here's what I did: My dad got me an Android on his "Family Plan" along with my step-mom and step-sister. To add me onto his plan is just an additional $20 per month. So, this made the most economical sense (since I wasn't about to give up my old phone and plan).
So I rooted my phone, did a nanodroid back-up, and added a custom Rom. At first I flashed MoCaDo onto the phone but I had a lot of force closes. So I flashed Fresh .5 over MocaDo 1.1 and the force closes stop. The phone feels a lot zipper. I have WiFi tether. Spare parts is great. Now how do I move apps to the sd card to free up more space?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new at this text message stuff, and just got a HTC hero.I would like to move all my text mesages from my hero to my PC.I can forawrd each to my e-mail address and then open them up and ave them on my PC. Problem is, with a long string of messages, 80 to 90, it would take a long ime.I tried connecting my phone to my PC, via USB, and then tried to find the messages in the folders.Couldn't find them.
