ex if i want to go from Ringer and vibrate to just vibrate.

Sprint HTC Hero :: Widgit Or Short Cut?
Sep 15, 2010I am curious if it is better to use the widgit for an application, or the short cut to the application. For example, there is a widgit for market, and a shortcut for market. Same for Handcent and several others. They appear to take the same real estate, so I wondered if one is easier on the processor and battery than the other. Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Jan 27, 2010I'm having problems uploading a ringer from my computer to my phone. I sent the ringer using funformobile.com just like all my other phones(storm, instinct, etc.). It downloads the ringer but I can't access it. When I try to open it after I send it it says "no app can be found to open the file". What am I doing wrong???

Mar 8, 2010Had Locale and used a basic setting to turn my ringer off during work based on time of day...put it back on after work.

Jan 4, 2010Whenever I type online whether its attempting to compose a myspace response or a general response on a message board like this, I experience annoying lag. I'm sure I'm not the only one, at least I hope I'm not, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that in the beginning. My question is, is this a network type thing? Or is it a memory/space type thing. I'm 90% on the wifi, and I would hope its a network thing because the lag online is becoming really annoying.

May 10, 2010I have a CDMA Hero and when ever I type in landscape, the on screen keyboard is really laggy. The portrait keyboard is fine. I use handcent sms and I've tried to turn off sound and vibration still no luck. I've tried to use the default messaging app and its the same...any solutions?
I've tried use the stock HTC keyboard and better keyboard with no luck, both still lag while in landscape mode.
I have rooted the phone and flashed Fresh 2.0d.

I like it, and would like to use it for my default ringtone, but it doesn't seem to be an option, nor can I find it anywhere in the file system. Also, when I asked the folks at HTC where the file was located, they conveniently dodged my question and and told me how to add new ringtones to my SD card. (not surprised).

Nov 21, 2010when I long press on my homescreen to add a widget (say Pandora's widget) I have to scroll through a TON of crap. 5 different beautiful widget options, 7 calendar pad pro options, 6 contact widget options, 6 folder organizer widget options, etc. Most of those I know I will NEVER EVER use. How can I remove them from my "choose widget". My phone is rooted, and one app I used, pure calendar, gave me the option of which "choose widget" menu options to show. So I know it exists somewhere.

Jun 8, 2010I've seen on some peoples phones they have a widget for different sound profiles. Airplane, vibrate, and silent modes. This morning I dl'd more HTC widgets and I found on that said 'Profile.' The details say, "Quickly switch your phone's profile to normal, silent, or vibrate." Once it dl'd I found the profile for 'Airplane' was added to my Settings widgets, but I've found nothing for normal, silent, or vibrate modes. Am I missing something, not looking in the right place? Should I uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps?

When I tried to download it nothing happened, and its been saying Installing for a long time now.
