Sprint HTC Hero :: Profile Widget / App

I've seen on some peoples phones they have a widget for different sound profiles. Airplane, vibrate, and silent modes. This morning I dl'd more HTC widgets and I found on that said 'Profile.' The details say, "Quickly switch your phone's profile to normal, silent, or vibrate." Once it dl'd I found the profile for 'Airplane' was added to my Settings widgets, but I've found nothing for normal, silent, or vibrate modes. Am I missing something, not looking in the right place? Should I uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps?

I want profile pictures of my contacts on both my phone and web email. Which is the best way to do this. If I match pictures to contacts on my phone will it sync with my web mail contacts, or will it work if I sync my google contacts on my web mail, then sync to my phone. Will either achieve my goal of having the picture attached to the contact on both my phone and web browser? OR must I do each one on the phone, and on the web mail browser?

Is this a hard or soft limitation?Will the new roms support all bluetooth profiles?Also, is there any way to pipe my music to my Jawbone 2?I know my previous 8525 winmo I had to load a app to pipe sounds to the headset.

Today I woke up, tried to pull down my email and look up a couple things on the web and my phone keeps telling me I have no connection. The sync icon (arrows chasing each other in a circle) is stuck at the top of the screen and my battery is disappearing rapidly. I've done a couple battery pulls and reboots with no change.What I'd NORMALLY do is update the data profile under menu/settings/about phone/system updates... But something I didn't know about CM6 is that this option is not there. (unless it's hidden somewhere else, then please point me in the right direction)."No problem", I think There are other ways to skin this cat. I type in ##3282#, which should allow me into a menu that allows me to refresh the data service... The phone doesn't respond at all "Odd", I think. So I try ##786#, which should open the reset menu... The phone didn't respond to that, either.

So my profile pics aren't matching up to what my Facebook contacts have currently as their default pics. It was syncing them fine up until recently. Haven't don't anything different that I know of on my hero. My setting for sync are on for Facebook. I'm running 2.0d

I want to add a battery widget to one of my blank screens. I click on the "+" sign and look under HTC widgets and Android Widgets but I don't see any Battery Widgets.

Sticking my neck out and asking a question that might see obvious, but, what is the difference between an App and a Widget?I assume the function differently or they wouldn't have different names.Yet, when I look at the stuff I have on my screens, they look the same.Someone told me to get rid of my Widgets to reduce lag.(I plan to keep my widgets because I only have 4, I think, three toggles and one weather.) But, why would Widgets create lag and Apps don't?

I accidentally trashed my clock/weather widget on the home screen when I was trying to pull down the status bar and cannot find where to put it back from.
Please help me and tell me where I can restore this from.
I have looked at everything I can think of on the Add Widget screen and nothing seems to be the right one.

I saw that we had a new HTC widget available to download (called tasks, pretty much a checklist) and it actually sounded like it might be useful. When I tried to download it nothing happened, and its been saying Installing for a long time now. I would really like to use this but it looks like its not going to work, and since its not installed yet I can't uninstall it and try again.

I got tired of the big clock on my screen, seeing as how I have one in the task bar anyhow, but enjoyed having the weather. There are many widgets out there, but I really liked the one that came on the nexus one.

If this is already posted but i couldn't find it. so today i figured out how to get the stock facebook widget to work again because every time i opened it up or tried to post something i got an error number/null (i forgot what it exactly said) so what i did is go to the market and look for the facebook app and install it. its going to ask to uninstall the old one and reinstall it. do that and once it is complete, uninstall the updates because for some reason the widget would not load and voila the stock widget works again if you guys already know this feel free to delete this post. And FYI i too also mainly use the touch.facebook site but sometimes its nice to be able to post something without going to the browser and it just irritated me that after updating to 2.1 a stock widget kept failing but i thought i would share this with all of you

Why the weather is disappearing on the clock widget? Sometimes I have to sync it to come back on the home screen. When the weather disappears I still have a internet connection. I noticed it today that I was having this problem. I contacted Sprint just to get this notated on my account. I read this on the forum before but I can't find it. How can I stop this from happening?

I came from Sense UI Based Zen ROM for a period of time, and Fresh before that.
I was able to use the Sense UI Email Widget.
I have sense installed CM6 and LP. I looked to recreate the Sense UI Email Widget, but couldn't find it. So I thought, ok I'll upgrade to LP+ and that will have the Email widget.
Nothing. I have searched the market for Email Widget as well, but don't find anything similar. So what are you, running LP or LP+ using for an Email Widget similar to the one in Sense UI.
Yes, I have the email "shortcut" or "icon" but I want the full 4x4 page widget like I used to have.

This is in reference to the one that comes with the phone. I like it because you can select a single calendar to show events from. I sync 8 calendars on the account I have my phone associated with but only want to see events from one or two on a widget. This widget seemed to answer that issue however anytime the phone is turned off and back on all that shows is the widget background with no data. If I delete and re-add the widget everything is back to good.

I've looked through posts but can't seem to find the solution. I'm using the smaller version (day view I guess) of the HTC Calender Widget.Under the calender settings --> views, I have "Include Weather" checked and a city is also populated, but the weather is not showing.On the widget itself, the day is on the left hand side, then on the right it just reads "No Events Today or Tomorrow".Where is the darn weather?

When i select add widget on the home wcreen, i have three photo items listed. Which can i delete from those lists, just the android ones or both android and htc? Id like to remove latitude(widget) and one of the music ones and two of the photo ones. I show photo frame, photo album, picture frame or album...i want them gone. I also read around here that htc sense is hindering. Can i delete htc sense? im on 2.1 official, rooted. Alre, what is the best and easiest way to tether and how?

I'm a brand new owner of a Sprint HTC Hero as of yesterday, and just updated to 2.1, and I have been looking and looking and can't seem to find the Friend Stream Widget. Can it be downloaded on the HTC Hero? I thought it was for all Android phones.

I have the 3500mah battery for my hero it got down to about 10 percent so I switched to the stock battery and when I. Switched back to the 3500mah battery and my battery widget says its at 50 percent I mean I can understand the widget isn't perfect but wow that's a big margin to be off by so how do I know how much charge it really has? O and i used the htc widget.

I rooted my phone for the first time yesterday, which was easier than I thought, and I flashed Fresh 2.0d and it is running awesome. I am having one issue and that is downloading the HTC battery widget back to my phone, it fails on install. Is that because the battery is being sent to the SD card and it can't run there? Any work around on that? Or is there a better battery app out there to use?

Anyone know why my contacts pictures wouldnt be show in my People widget, im using the single line widget and none of my pictures linked with FB are showing up they are just blank, but when i go to the actual list of contacts, and to my favorites, the pictures are there next to the names. I used it before and it worked fine, i recently wiped my phone and now they arent working.

A few of you have a widget that is 4x1 and controls things like Wifi-GPS- Screen Brightness - and Mobile network. It is one, whole widget, that looks clean and neat. What is the name of said widget? I searched the forums, and when I typed in "4x1 widget" 11 pages of results came up, but when I typed only "4x1", Nothing came up. I tried to search fr it. My phone is NOT rooted.
