Is there a way to turn off screen without locking it? I really don't need to lock it when the phone is laying on the table but saving battery by turnig off screen is good.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone starting locking yesterday and on pressing the home putting brings up the message reactivating phone & brings up the Sony Ericsson start up screen. Then shoes "Emergency Nos Only". It won't receive texts but I am able to send them. Calls appear to be working ok other than I had a couple of missed calls yesterday which apparently rang once and then said phone is switched off. I have done a reset but it's still the same. I've also had a problem with apps appearing on the home screen without me putting them there - I had four digital clocks on it yesterday. Is this a software problem?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a simple car cradle that I use to view GPS whilst driving. Unfortunately after few mins of driving, the three keys at the bottom lock up - touch screen and power buttons still respond but I cannot menu/home/undo with any of the three keys. If I take the X10 out of the cradle - tilt it back to the level then the keys work again!
Could this be to do with the accelerometer sensing the car vibration in this mode and some 'shake' event in the configuration locking the keys??? If so is there some setting that allows to not lock the keys?
I would like to switch off the SE slide lock screen and just keep the android pattern screen lock method. Is it possible to turn of the slide lock screen?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had the phone for less than a month, worked fine up til about 30 mins ago. a message came through, went i attempted to read it the phone went blank. it wont turn on or off, and battery is internal so cant even do this. there is a green light still flashing, which indicates an unread message. ive tried calling the mobile from my land line and it goes straight to voicemail. any suggestions?

Ive had my xperia x10 for about 5mnths now and have since bought a different phone as its easier for work, I want to give my xperia x10 to my wife to use as its a great phone and dont want to just leave in drawer, When i insert her vodaphone sim into my orange locked xperia it wont switch on but as soon as i replace with my orange sim it works and powers up just fine,i know i will have to unlock with code from a website but if it dont turn on to start with then im buggered.Im a little confused.com to say the least, works with mine but wont turn on with hers/

My phone says it is up to date. I am sure there are a quadrillion updates or fixes users of X10 want. I have to say though, this is actually my first and only problem with X10.

From SE Macedonia they told me that my phone cannot be repaired. My gurantee is not valid because they told me that I've broken the motherboard.

This is a huge pain when you are taking a photo and have to go through several steps to turn on a light that should have been an automatic flash to begin with or at least have a quick toggle button on the same camera screen. View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my new AT&T Xperia X10 last week. For the first couple of days, all seemed well. On Saturday, I lost effective wi-fi. In settings is indicates that I am connected to my witeless access point, but when I try to access the internet, I am told that there is no connection. Also, at about the same time, I haven't been able to turn on bluetooth. In settings again, I select turn on bluetooth. Then it goes off for a while, and times-out. This cycle repeats itself continuously as lonk as I hit the OK button.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
I have just found out that i have the sms delivery receipt turned on on my phone and i am being charged for it everytime i send a text.? Ive tried reading my manual but not getting anywhere, im hopeless with technology
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just turned on my Xperia X10 Mini and on the top of screen there icon and a message telling me that the SD Card is damaged and should be formated. I try to format it through "configuration > Sd Card > Format SD Card > Erase" however nothing happens. I have rebooted the phone, and checked that the SD Card is well conected, however I the demaged SD card message still remains. What should I do?
