Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Any Other Email App That Is As Close To Std One As Possible?

Anyone using any other email app that is as close to the std one as possible? I dont mind it but need something with multi select function.My biggest gripe with the std app is that you have to select one email at a time to delete it, then you have to go into the trash folder and repeat the same process all over again to remove the deleted emails
Bit of a ball ache when you receive in excess of 15 to 20 emails.Any advice? Have tried K9 Mail but that force closes every time I try read mail in the Inbox ?

Since updating to 2.1 I can't find out how to easily close explorer. Now I have to go back all the pages until it closes when I get to the first page.

how to close an application? Do you just push the back button to close applications? I wonder because my old phone (Nokia 5800) allows one to have more than one application open at the same time, and it has a function to enable one to check what's running and to close anything that you don't want to run. Is it the same on the X10? If it's only possible to have one app open at the same time, that answers my question, I suppose - if I open another application, the previous one will be closed. That seems to be the case, but I checked the other day what was consuming so much battery and it turned out to be a game (Labyrinth Lite) which seemed to be running in the background. I've deleted it now, but I'd like to have a clearer understanding of how to check easily what is open.

Can someone help me. I turned on the playnow in mediascape and now it always force closes because of playnow. Is there a way to turn off playnow or fix the problem in anyway? A hard reset maybe?

I upgraded firmware to R2BA023 yesterday and everything seems to work fine until today.
Whenever i open mediascape, i get 'the application playnow (process com.sonyericsson.playnonowstore.android) has stopped unexpectedly, please try again. i have tried these options below but nothing works
- from manage applications
. mediascape --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. mediascape plug-in manager --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. playnow --> UNABLE to clear data ??
- recycle phone a few times --> power off and on
- delete task manager to make sure this app is not auto-killing mediascape
I get the force close pop-up everytime i launch mediascape. i supposed i can do a HARD reset, but i try to avoid this as i have to re-install everything.

For some reason, everytime I try to access my Mediascape it gives me an error message saying that "The application Playnow(process com.sonyericson.playnowstore.andriod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Then it makes me force close. I have tried to reset the phone to factory setting as recommend by sony and it is still not working. Can anybody help?

Just recently update my phone to the latest build. Now TrackID force closes every time I try to use it. Is anybody else having this issue. or bet yet a solution? I have tried re-installing update.

Using Astro. Long press on a file, select "send as", then "Bluetooth" and it just force closes every time.
Other than using Astro, anybody know other ways of Bluetoothing a file?

Love the X10 but cannot get mediascape to work, get force close message each time. Sony not responded to any of my emails and when I called they were not that helpful, could only suggest I restore to factory settings. Do not really want to do that.

I've set up an email account on my mini pro (NOT gmail or exchange) and it all works fine updating my inbox manually , however, I cant find any settings to automatically retrieve my emails periodically ( as far I can see auto sync refers to gmail or sony sync or road sync for exchange). Is there any way to auto sync an individual email account ?

I am currently using a x10i (x10?) on tmobile, i have the data plan ($10), and have my email connected via gmail. however, it seems like i have to do manual refresh in order to get email update. Is this normal or is there automatic feature that i must enable to have it alert me once an email is received?
Secondly, is it possible to set-up a third party email account, ex: Yahoo? I went through the notion of manually enter email account, but was unsucessful. It give me a msg that mailbox access is not supported for some tpes of yahoo mail accounts. Could this be an interference with gmail email, thus causing the problem? Even, using the manually setup option, it still fails to connect to my yahoo account.

I have noticed a probable gltich in the timescape, excuse me if I had mistaken. I see that all my accounts(face book,Twitter, SMS) are updated correctly but I don't find the call log and my email view of timescape correctly updated. Please help out to get this corrected. PS I am using the 1.6 version of Android.

I have my first ever phone without buttons...Sony Experia X10i which i imported my contacts from my sim card. I have installed Sony Ericsson PC Companion on my computer and I managed to add new contacts by adding them on my pc and then sync-ing which updated the contacts on my phone! (I was proud of my achievment...I use my calendar on my phone heaps and I was wondering if I can sync that to my Microsoft Outlook Express 2007 Calendar?

When newly setting up my X10 part of the setup process was (of course) email, so I entered my gmail info. I later set up gmail from the gmail icon.Now, when I receive email it shows in one..I open/read/close and it opens immediately in the other. I don't really care which I keep (although the gmail one is slightly nicer looking) but am afraid to delete either for fear of having it not work at all.

I know everyone thinks Moxier sucks, but I need something that will sync up my work email, work calendar, work tasks, and contacts all from an exchange server. I have moxier set up to flow through my webmail account and it woks pretty well. I was also using K9 for my personal email prior to 2.1 update this past weekend. Does any one have a suggestion as to what to use to replace moxier , and what app to use for my personal email?

I have been trying to add an email account to my phone through the email button.I have also tried using K-9, but still no luck.I have added my gmail account with no problem, but would also like to add my yahoo email address.There seems to be a facility to do so.I have put my yahoo address and password in to the appropriate section, but the next page asks for my 'Username'.Any idea what the 'Username' means?I have tried putting in my yahoo email address, both with and without the 'yahoo.ca' bit, but I get an error message saying 'Setup could not finish.Username or password incorrect'.

I signed up for this forum last night and ever since my in box has been clogged up with message notifications. How do I turn them off? I went to "Your Stuff" "Preferences" and anticked all the notifications and pressed save but I get an error message when I try to save my preferences. THEY WON'T TURN OFF!

I use my laptop for most email matters. I use the phone to get emails when laptop not available. The phone is set to leave all messages on the server. I delete all emails from the phone. All deleted emails go to Trash. How do I empty Trash without deleting individual emails?

I just got my Xperia x10 mini pro today and so far I have noticed that my email doesn't update itself, I have to do it manually but it seems like the phone should be able to do that. I use a hotmail account on my phone and I would like to know if the email can update itself, if I have to wait for 2.1 to have this problem resolved or if it's just something that I'm missing. And sometimes the phone will say "Does not connect" when I do try to update it but it hasn't done it in the last few hours. In addition, there isn't any change in my real email account. I could read an email on my phone and still half an hour later that very same email will be considered new and unread. Is there any way to solve these issues?

The email is setup to be checked every 10 minutes but it wont load unless i go into the email app and refresh it and then it loads my new emails. it was working fine earlier and most of today it hasnt been working.

Having an issue with sending emails. Had the exact same issue on the Desire. Receiving fine, any other internet, Facebook, Twitter all fine. Cant seem to send email after midnight - when I check in the morning, the email has been sent. Looked at settings and I cant see anything that would restrict emails being sent at certain times.

I recently got this phone. I have been getting text messages from a number. my problem is that i want to forward the message with the phone number that sent it to another phone and my email. how do i do this i know that i can copy and paste it or forward it but when i tried that the phone number did show up only mine. i really need to be able to send the phone number with the original text at the same time.

2 e-mail accounts, both set to check for new mails every 30 minutes. However, after the first day, where it did pick up mails throughout the day, now I have to do a manual refresh to see new mails. Anyone else having the same problem?

I have just got the x10 mini. i have set my hotmail account up on the email function and have gone into settings and set up to get notifications of new emails coming through. the problem i am having is that i only get the notifications when i physically go into the email function and refresh- which completely defeats the point of the function. Has anyone else had this problem, or have i not set it up correctly?
