Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Auto Sync Email Individual Email Account On Phone?
Jul 21, 2010I've set up an email account on my mini pro (NOT gmail or exchange) and it all works fine updating my inbox manually , however, I cant find any settings to automatically retrieve my emails periodically ( as far I can see auto sync refers to gmail or sony sync or road sync for exchange). Is there any way to auto sync an individual email account ?

Oct 16, 2010I am currently using a x10i (x10?) on tmobile, i have the data plan ($10), and have my email connected via gmail. however, it seems like i have to do manual refresh in order to get email update. Is this normal or is there automatic feature that i must enable to have it alert me once an email is received?
Secondly, is it possible to set-up a third party email account, ex: Yahoo? I went through the notion of manually enter email account, but was unsucessful. It give me a msg that mailbox access is not supported for some tpes of yahoo mail accounts. Could this be an interference with gmail email, thus causing the problem? Even, using the manually setup option, it still fails to connect to my yahoo account.

Nov 14, 2010I have noticed a probable gltich in the timescape, excuse me if I had mistaken. I see that all my accounts(face book,Twitter, SMS) are updated correctly but I don't find the call log and my email view of timescape correctly updated. Please help out to get this corrected. PS I am using the 1.6 version of Android.

I have installed Sony Ericsson PC Companion on my computer and I managed to add new contacts by adding them on my pc and then sync-ing which updated the contacts on my phone! Jul 24, 2010When newly setting up my X10 part of the setup process was (of course) email, so I entered my gmail info. I later set up gmail from the gmail icon.Now, when I receive email it shows in one..I open/read/close and it opens immediately in the other. I don't really care which I keep (although the gmail one is slightly nicer looking) but am afraid to delete either for fear of having it not work at all.

Nov 15, 2010I know everyone thinks Moxier sucks, but I need something that will sync up my work email, work calendar, work tasks, and contacts all from an exchange server. I have moxier set up to flow through my webmail account and it woks pretty well. I was also using K9 for my personal email prior to 2.1 update this past weekend. Does any one have a suggestion as to what to use to replace moxier , and what app to use for my personal email?

I dont mind it but need something with multi select function.My biggest gripe with the std app is that you have to select one email at a time to delete it, then you have to go into the trash folder and repeat the same process all over again to remove the deleted emails

Aug 23, 2010I have been trying to add an email account to my phone through the email button.I have also tried using K-9, but still no luck.I have added my gmail account with no problem, but would also like to add my yahoo email address.There seems to be a facility to do so.I have put my yahoo address and password in to the appropriate section, but the next page asks for my 'Username'.Any idea what the 'Username' means?I have tried putting in my yahoo email address, both with and without the 'yahoo.ca' bit, but I get an error message saying 'Setup could not finish.Username or password incorrect'.

Sep 30, 2010I just got my Xperia x10 mini pro today and so far I have noticed that my email doesn't update itself, I have to do it manually but it seems like the phone should be able to do that. I use a hotmail account on my phone and I would like to know if the email can update itself, if I have to wait for 2.1 to have this problem resolved or if it's just something that I'm missing. And sometimes the phone will say "Does not connect" when I do try to update it but it hasn't done it in the last few hours. In addition, there isn't any change in my real email account. I could read an email on my phone and still half an hour later that very same email will be considered new and unread. Is there any way to solve these issues?

Oct 1, 2010I set up a Hotmail account on my Xperia x10 so I can easily check my emails on the phone. However, when I open an email from the phone, it would still show as "unread" when I open my Hotmail account from a laptop / computer. Is there a way this can be changed, so that when an email is opened/read on the phone, it would also show as open/read when I open my Hotmail account from a laptop?

Nov 22, 2010New to X8 and Android - was k850i user. I am trying to setup the X8 to work with my personal email, other than Gmail.My provider uses POP and SMTP servers. The POP server address is pop-server@xyz.site.com. The SMTP server address is smtp-server@xyz.site.com
I select the POP3 choice, I enter the POP server address and then the SMTP server address. At this point the "Continue" bar is present but grayed out - it cannot be selected. If I press the leftward return arrow at the bottom of the phone I am returned to email sign-in, the phone displays a spinner and then returns to the POP SMTP setup screen.

Nov 10, 2010I borrowed a windows computer and updated to 2.1. Everything seemed fine until today. I noticed that the backup hadn't saved my email details so I attempted to setup it up from scratch to my isp's pop3 server (Zen Internet). I input my details over and over and kept getting server not found/ authentication wrong. Then I realised one of my password letters should have been capitalised... So, I thought that'll be it. reentered my details but this time the continue button won't work... No amount of pressing gets even an error message. So, I turned the phone on and off...Still no good and now the phone can't find the setup guide that I carefully copied over to a new 16gb mini sdcard...
